Great staff

We only arrived late in the day and left very early the next morning so we did not spend much time there. The gardens were beautiful and it was a short walk to restaurants. There was a nice seating area and nice windows. The best thing was the staff that bent over backwards to help us by coming early and preparing a box breakfast for us.

We did not like the bathroom it is was open air and missing a shower head. The bathroom was also very hot and needed a fan or something to circulate the air.

Lovely stay in beautiful Sidemen

The little cottage was so nice and beautiful! The staff was very sweet and kind. Furthermore, the breakfast had lots of options to choose from. I really liked the open bathroom as well, it was really big and the shower is amazing. The bed was great as well. The feeling of being in nature was great!

Amazing

Everything was so amazing! The place is very clean and quiet and the staff is so lovely ! We could do everything from the property. Super close to town. We even rented a scooter one day directly from the hotel. We also got a driver for some activités from the hotel as well and he was super informative and very nice ! Make sure to do the silver class recommended by the hotel staff as well. They really take care of everything Highly recommend !

Perfect place in Bali’s beautiful Sidemen valley

Our favourite accommodation in Bali. We stayed there for 3 nights and wish we could stay longer. The room was spacious, super clean and the bathroom was amazing. Beautiful garden! Special thanks to the two wonderful ladies.

Good for what I was paying

The room for one person was spacious. The staff were amazing, kind and helpful whenever I needed them. WiFi worked very well. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The view from the dining area was beautiful. The staff would clean and tidy everything in your room whenever you would go out sightseeing. It was always a nice welcome back to see everything neatly tidied.

The air conditioning was just a fan that blew hot air at you. The property has lots of space for flies to crawl in. So, you have to keep your lights off when it’s dark outside otherwise bugs and flies would come in during the night. The property has lots of chickens nearby that constantly make noise so it was quite hard to sleep at night.

Super cute stay in beautiful surroundings

This place is so nice! The owners are really friendly and helpful, good breakfast with a view of the gardens and beyond, and the chalets look very new and modern. Really recommend visiting Sidemen and staying here for a peaceful and relaxed few days!

Great room with attentive and friendly staff

The staff was incredible and the breakfasts was convenient. The coffee at Rumah Sideman was the best I had for the 2 weeks I traveled in Bali. The hot water in the shower was hot or miss. Aside from that, this was a good place to stay.

Cheap cheerful stay, best suited to young backpacking couples.

Great price, cheap scooter rental in-house. Friendly staff. Good value considering it is very cheap. Would be perfect for backpacking young couples.

Shower was a bit too grassroots, could use a shower head. Breakfast is included but very simple. No frills but otherwise good value.

A very peaceful and relaxing stay in Sidemen and great value - would highly recommend!

We loved the spacious, clean and beautiful room, loved the bathroom and shower - it was all very peaceful and serene, the view from the room was lush & green. Our hosts were lovely and kind, we were within walking distance to lovely restaurants and the rice terraces. The breakfast was delicious too.

There was nothing we didn’t like… a suggestion might be to add cushions on the beautiful wooden benches outside and inside to make them more comfortable.

Great value for money! Affordable and spacious

Lovely staff and nice clean big room with great bed! Staff cleaned the room every day which was lovely. Semi outdoor bathroom was pretty (but stayed moist..). They offer cheap scooter rental and cheap or included breakfast depending on which option you choose when booking. It’s not in the street with all the resorts together in Sidemen, but more in an authentic area with locals. Which we prefered! Overall great value for money!

Great views, great price, very clean & modern rooms

Good location with great views. Good breakfast. The staff were all very helpful. The rooms & en-suite’s were lovely, very clean & modern. I couldn’t find any fault however I do think a kettle in the room would be nice & a few cushions on the lovely big wooden benches would make them more comfortable. I’d happily stay there again.

Perfect base for exploring Sidemen

Clean and spacious rooms and with your own little patio and chair it feels very homey. It’s set away from most of the other home stays in the area which I consider to be an advantage. Super quiet and peaceful. WiFi isn’t great but it’s a rural area so wouldn’t expend it to be. If anything fingers crossed that means it will scare away the influencers

A must stay.

A beautiful place to stay in Sideman. So peaceful able to get an amazing nights sleep. Beds were super comfy. Really lovely food places close by. The shower was a traditional water stream which was fun. Hot water perfect after trekking / scooter use all day. Full recommend, the staff even organised a scooter for us. Breakfast was great too. The view from the restaurant was great.

Only good for breakfast.

The only good thing was the breakfast.

The walk to the hotel was uncomfortable. The only parking was on a busy narrow road. The stairs to the room were unsafe with no lighting, handrails, and some covered with moss. The room lacked most common facilities, like tea, coffee, cups, bowls, cutlery, etc. I ended up staying only one night and booking another hotel for the second one.

Exceeded my Expectations

Rumah Sidemen absolutely exceeded my expectations. I had read the good reviews and seen pictures, however, what is online doesn't fully describe how great this place is. The bathroom is like a private spa, the bed is huge and so comfortable, the rooms are spotless, the garden and surroundings are absolutely stunning (really the view is insane and you cannot tell how great it is from the photos online). The staff is also so accommodating and friendly, as are the adorable cats that live on the property. We loved our time staying here, I could sit on the front porch and take in the view forever.

peaceful, welcoming and home feeling in a nice little village

during my stay it was very quiet and peaceful. the garden was very beautiful and so well maintained. i loved the view above the flowers, trees and fields. i heard different, nice sounding birds in different times of the day, i loved it. the staff is extremely polite and almost invisible, very friendly and always there for you. they are not 24/7 around, but if you communicate with them, they make everything possible. the house is open under the roof and the bathroom is very open, but safe. i like the idea of an open bathroom. the bed was not too stiff, not too soft, just right for me and seemed new. everything i saw was clean. up the road or down the road (5minutes walking each) you can enjoy streetlife and shop a lot of things or sit in a warung or a bar.

the benches made out of wood were without pillows or any other softness so it was a little hard to sit there for longer.

The property was built and now served by a local family. They’ve put so much love and care into the property, it’s fantastic to see. The service is great, the views are amazing and the rooms impeccable! If you want to have a positive impact on the local economy and village, stay here!

AMAZING rooms and great view! you really fell like you are staying in the middle of the jungle. Everything was very clean and felt luxurious. Some people complain about the shower, but we found it to be quite okay actually.

Breakfast was simple, but sufficient and prepared with care. Overall care was amazing and staff was very helpful. The rooms were tidy and beautiful, loved the shower, could be potentially a bit slippery when whet.

To be able to stay longer, unfortunately we had a flight to catch!!

Loved our stay here

We loved our short stay in this family run hotel with its calm atmosphere, and lovely garden. Komang, Kadek, and family were so kind to us! The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. We had two rooms, and actually the semi-open room gave far better ventilation and cooling then than the airconditioned room. There is 24 hour free access to the kitchen to refill mineral water. There are several small restaurants within short walking distance. If you're into it, try out a short silver workshop next door.

Peacefull, beautiful and welcoming stay! Must visit.

The host Comang and his family are super lovely. The view from the room was amazing, beautiful nature. The places to eat are 3 minutes away by scooter. Breakfast was included. This was the most beautiful place we stayed on our 4 week trip!! We booked the room with airco and slept super well.

The app Grab for taxi’s and scooters doesnt work in Sidemen but Rumah had scooters for rent and the host Comang was nice enough to bring us to Padang Bai to take the fastboat to Gili Trawangan. He also helped us with the best tickets for the fastboat Ekajaya. His story about Rumah and his kindness was so special to us.

Everything! Owners of Rumah Sideman are amazing! Small bungalows so nice, clean. The garden so beautiful and the view from it nice! The owner isso kind men. My boy got sick and he took us to doctor and took care of us. In Sideman Rumah Sideman is in great location.

The room exceeded my expectations. Despite arriving quite late in the evening, we received a very warm welcome from ur host. The bungalow we had booked was in the middle of a beautiful garden, where we had a view on the beautiful landscapes of Sidemen. The area was really calm, and we could also enjoy walking in the surroundings of our place. The breakfast was included and really good too.

I don't think there is any part I would consider negative to my experience of this booking.

Best stay we had in three weeks in Bali. Absolutely phenomenal. Everything was perfect.

This was the best place we have stayed in all of Bali. Beautiful garden view. Really good rooms with good AC and a gorgeous bathroom. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Super clean. I wish all stays could be as good as this one. Superb value for money.
