Sidemen Sanctuary

I arrived early and greeted by son cleaning apologizing for room delay. Jalantik owner very hospitable. An umbrella waiting at the door. Sidemen often has rainfall. Informed me of local Warungs and distance to town. I am a private person so villa was ideal. And the pathway to locate.

Room not provided with kettle tea/coffee cup or water glass.

Beautiful view and spacious villa in the centre of sidemen.

Very beautiful and spacious villa situated at the top of a hill looking over Mt. Agung. The host was very welcoming and provided us with a scooter for a reasonable price. The breakfast was traditional Balinese which was good to experience. For how much we paid I feel very satisfied with the whole stay. Very close to shops and warungs.

For how much it costs you can’t fault it.

An experience of true Balinese rural life - everything you need for a short stay but fairly simple.

Great location in Sidemen Village. The host was very kind and tried his best to provide information although there was a language barrier at times. The breakfast is small but delicious and the host brought it to us every morning at our requested time. The room was spacious and is how it looked int he photos. Having a mosquito net was good (and necessary) since the property is quite open to nature. It is definitely a Homestay and you get a glimpse of rural life in sidemen which is what we wanted for 3 nights. However for a longer stay a few more amenities would be good.

The property was very clean when we got there but some sort of dust/droppings fell from the ceiling so it would be better if it was given a sweep daily. The lock on the main door and indoor cupboard was very flimsy. Luckily it was not a location where we were too worried but it was not great to leave valuables in.

The family is really nice, they can rent scooter for not so much The place is pretty simple but it’s ok. Beware the first ATM is about 7km !

The location is a bit noisy with the road, and the mosque next to it (wake up at 5h30 by the priest) The bathroom need a small update to be clean. Breakfast is maybe not a good idea for weak stomachs

Great stay, lovely place.

The host is super nice, makes you feels Welcome right away. When we arrived the room was super clean. Good Privacy and the self-made breakfast (traditional Indonesian) was really tasteful overall just a great experience for two days. When you have a motor available the restaurants are close by and there is enough to do around the Area. Overall the location is perfect.

The moskee is a bit annoying in the morning but with earplugs its allright. And you can hear a lot of noice from outside. Maybe the bathroom is a bit outdated but it didn't bother us a all. Just a great stay!

Come to Sidemen and enjoy its beautiful landscapes, fields and warm people. The manager is the cutest being ever, they make everything so you're comfortable. You can have a lovely Balinese breakfast, you can rent a scooter and you can organize taxi drop. Very calm, clean and perfect balcony for morning stretchings. Thank you so much !

Superb

The owner was lovely and very attentive. A beautiful room with a lovely view of Mt. Agung when it's clear. A short walk into the centre and markets (less than 10). Very clean, nice bathroom and breakfast. Would recommend! Worth noting that it's just the one room so you have the whole place to yourself.

Little bit of Paradise

This little homestay is amazing value. The room is large, we liked the outside shower/toilet, the terrace has an amazing view, good WiFi is available, we hired a scooter from the owner, and we had a different breakfast provided each day. It was a real pleasure to stay here. The location is also really good with an abundance of Warungs within walking distance.

There is a mosque close by so we were sometimes briefly woken up at around 4/5 AM for their call for prayer. This didn't bother us too much though.

Amazing stay in unique homestay

Amazing homestay, great location overlooking rice fields and Mount Agung. Super friendly and helpful owner, he helped me with doing laundry and renting a scooter, provided wifi. Room was very clean, nice outdoor shower and amazing terrace. Traditional and delicious Balinese breakfast! I will be back!

Beautiful spot where you can opt for a relaxing break or activity filled holiday.

The breakfast was amazing the three nights we were there. You can rent a scooter from the host. Spacious room and large bed. The place is situated on its own, making it a very private area with a beautiful view of the scenery surrounding. Located near local shops and laundry. A 10 min walk away will bring you to many restaurants and coffee hubs. There are many spots to do water rafting and guided tours. To top it off, the host was so accomodating. He checked in on us every so often to make sure we had everything we needed (through a language barrier). Such a kind man who made a home away from home for us.

Très bon homestay à Sidemen

Très bon endroit où dormir. Le monsieur est très accueillant et t’explique tout. Tu peux même lui demander de laisser ton sac chez lui le lendemain pour te balader tranquille. Petit dej compris très bon. Bien dormis. Lit avec moustiquaire et salle de bain extérieur. Proche des warung et activités.

Séjour simple et calme à sidemen

J’ai pu avoir la chambre avec la vue sur mont Agung et quelle vue ! Incroyable de pouvoir petit déjeuner dans la nature. Le propriétaire est d’une grande gentillesse et vous apportera tous les matins votre petit déjeuner : beignet de banane, galette de riz avec de la coco. La chambre est simple et sans prétention. Si vous cherchez un standing hôtel, passez votre chemin. Mais pour les commodités de bases, pas besoin de plus. La chambre est grande, propre. La salle de bain était bien, quoique un peu mousseuse. L’eau est tiède mais c’est très largement ok. Pour un passage immergé à Sidemen, je vous recommande. Il est proche des rizières et des commodités ( restaurant, rando) pour un séjour simple et sans prise de tête.
