Kankhara Villas Sidemen

We were in Villa Shari and we enjoyed the serenity of this small property that overlooked a verdant valley of rice paddies. It is just a 15-minute walk to the nearby Sidemen Rice Terrace trail, and a 10-minute walk to the main street. Several warungs and restaurants are nearby as well. A shout-out to the service team who took care of us well, especially Sintia, Ria and Nabil. Equally impressive was the tasty breakfast and the excellent on-site restaurant. We loved the betutu bebek and ayam!

Just a couple of minor issues: There was a brief electricity outage and water stoppage during our stay, but the staff promptly corrected these. Also there is no hair conditioner and body lotion, which are fairly essential amenities, especially as the property is not a budget stay.

De accommodatie bestaat uit 4 appartementen. Alle 4 met eigen pool. Zeer comfortabel en veel privacy. Op het gemeenschappelijke terras kan je ontbijten, lunchen en dineren. Maar dan kan ook in eigen appartement. Uitzicht is prachtig. Personeel zeer vriendelijk. Sommige personeelsleden moeten nog iets worden bijgeleerd met Engels. Uitgezette wandeling door de rijstvelden (+3km) is op loopafstand van de accommodatie. De massage was heerlijk en de geserveerde middag thee met lokaal lekkernij was top!

The property is new and the quality is fantastic. We liked the fact we had access to our own pool overlooking the mountains. All the staff are very attentive too.

Lovely staff. Large clean room and private pool.

The construction noise was terrible, would start about 8.30 am until about 5.30 pm . The restaurant had frozen meals they reheat, no made to order apart from pizza. Isolated, if you ordered meal (lunch or dinner) to your room no dishes collected until the next day. Driver couldn't drop us off at reception as construction and narrow road made it impossible, we had to drag our suitcases, the same happened on checkout.
