We stayed in the one bedroom villa and fell in love with it from the minute we walked in the door. It has the most beautiful view from the downstairs and upstairs balconies. The outside bathroom downstairs was amazing and felt like showering in nature but with complete privacy.
Checkung out
Was sad to leave.

The property is beautiful and very well located. The balcony views are absolutely stunning and make the stay incredibly relaxing. The staff are genuinely kind and welcoming — they helped me with everything I needed and always did so with a warm smile. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

The house is absolutely beautiful, with traditional furnishings, lovely paintings, and has great views from the spacious balconies, over the valley, fields and mountains. The area has nice little restaurants nearby, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast delivered to the room too.
It's nice that there is a bathroom on each floor too. We had a perfect 5 nights in this place, and would definitely come back here.
It's hardly a minus, and we didn't really mind, but because it is a house close to nature, and it is quite 'open', be aware that you will have some ants on the balconies and sometimes an insect in the house.
It is a little far from a bigger 'supermarket', but there are plenty of tiny shops nearby for daily needs.

Lovely location, traditional style accom, beautiful outlook, very spacious villa.
Beds were very average, cleaning sponges were full of grease, no detergent, no hand towels to dry anything, only bath towels. Some small improvements would make this place more enjoyable for a longer stay.

Great Location.
Spacious Room. Staff Hospitality Exceptional. Walking distance to everthing, small shops, restaurants, mountain and local food. Really enjoyed breakfast, & housekeeping
All good.

Lovely position and nice views.
No windows at top of bedroom and no fly screens to prevent insects coming into the room. We had a large wasp buzzing around.
Outside widows near toilet didn’t close, allowing ants and centipedes to enter, which of course they did.
Building site next door with constant noise from hammering from sunrise to sunset.
No lighting along the long pathway from road to room at night so it was relatively dangerous as there are steps to negotiate.

Delightful little room
With beautiful green tiled floor, lovely blue colours threw the room and bathroom. Nice big bath tub too..
Sweet table and chairs in room to hang on.
Nice small porch to sit and listen to the cows .
And watch the fish in the pond
It was quite cold at night and only had 1 light blanket.
I had to put the towel on top of me and still felt cold.
They could add an extra duvet in the room for cool nights

I was only at Bebek Biru for one night. They have a villa as well, that is above the room I stayed in. The rooms are situated well off the road, behind a small rice field and over looking lovely gardens. It is very quiet and at night the sounds of nature are relaxing.
To get to the room (not villa) you had to go down a pathway and a number of steps. It had a fish pond and lots of greenery. The room had a massive bathtub, which I used to cool down, a bed with mosquito nets, indoor and outdoor seating, a wardrobe, a fridge and kettle.

Stunning villa, beautifully furnished, comfy beds, fantastic view, very peaceful.
The only thing I was lacking was some more bathroom products e.g. shower gel

the fish in the pond out front. And we did not see a single mosquito in all of the time we were there (2 days). Great breakfast & service from the staff.
the toilet was more or less in the living area without a screen. Very visible and audible from the living room.

I have stayed at Bebek Biru, several times, I love it there. The Villa is so comfortable & in walking distance to many restaurants.
it's always spotlessly clean & the views from the Verandahs are superb.
Wayan, the gentleman who runs the Villa is soooo kind & helpful. Nothing is a bother to him.
Breakfast is is always fresh, delicious & on time.
I will be back to stay again here soon. I love it so much..

Love everything about this house. The location is perfect and set back from the road and is really quiet. Huge verandahs and very comfortable sitting areas. As soon as I walked into the house, I instantly fell in love with it. Just reminded me of the old Bali back in the day when I was a child. Thank you to the owners and the lovely staff who really looked after
it was such a privilege to stay at this beautiful property.
Would not change a thing

I am a frequent visitor in Bali since 1998. Prior to Bebek Biru, I stayed in two luxury villas with private pool in Seminyak and Ubud. I was recommended Sidemen for relaxing and soul searching. I was searching for the Old Bali. Choose Bebek Biru mainly for the view and good review. I arrived quite late around 6 pm and Bapak Wayan was waiting for me. My car was parked in front of another property and I had to walk a little through a beautiful paddy field to get to Bebek Biru house.
Once Pak Wayan open the door, my heart just dropped. It was too big for solo traveler and they view was the best I had ever seen in Bali. It was like Bali in the old day. I am always drawn to mountain and paddy field compare to sea anyway. Never get tired of the view. The drifting smell of the flower surrounding the house and the sound from nature and the nearly temples bring tears to my eyes. I am a very sensitive person. Spent most of my time reading and sleeping on the comfortable daybed with thick mattress at the balcony. Thank you, Bebek Biru owner! Most property I stayed only provide hard chair or benches - not meant for total relaxing.
Mattress - I am insomniac - had my best sleep ever here.
Being in the hotel and travel industry for many years, I've experienced many kind of properties around the world, the most expensive, the cheapest, the most wonderful and the horrible one as well. However, I think I have found almost a perfect place for me in Bali - Sidemen. The house, the view, the PEOPLE - I have found a new home here.
Expect the same breakfast daily prepared by Pak Wayan. Juice is pure and delicious though. No eggs or omelet or bread. or nasi goreng If you are a heavy eater please buy your own groceries before arrival and stock the fridge. The kitchen is fully equipped.
Only one standing fan in the bedroom upstairs. Owner need to fix the fans in the whole house. It can get uncomfortable during the day.
Because you are in the paddy field, expect some smell from the fertilizer. It didn't spoil my stay anyway. The view and sound of nature and temples nearby compensate all the minor things you could have found in the house.
Bathroom - I enjoy bathtub, always look forward to one. I had floral baths in other properties. Bathtub at Bebek Biru is outdoor and only available on the ground floor. It was not inviting because of the many crawling insects in the tub.
I had already planned and booked my 2023 visit to Bali (Sidemen included). This time will stay longer, nearly 20 days. However, the only thing that made me choose another property instead of Bebek Biru is the bathtub and the lack of curtain on the front door of the bedroom upstairs. There is no curtain 😅! The bed face the open view of the outdoor. I need curtain when sleeping. Hope the owner will take this into consideration.
This is a beautiful rustic guesthouse, well recommended for soul searching traveler, not recommended for the super fussy.

It was cute at first. The upstairs family unit was where I would have preferred to stay. Even with just the two of us. Breakfast was okayish. They connected us to a really great driver who was intelligent, kind and knowledgeable.
Bedding had mold on it. The bathroom never felt clean. Lots of ways for mosquitoes and bugs to get in.

I love everything about Bebek Biru. It's the most beautiful Villa. I have stayed here several times & I love it more every time.
The Villa is spotlessly clean, the bed is so comfortable, I love the mosquito net, I love all the comfy places to rest & read, I love, the position of the Villa.
I am always grateful for the breakfast served with love & attention. I love having it delivered to my Verandah.
I am always so grateful for Wayan & how helpful he is. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
I am definitely coming back to stay here & I might stay longer next time.

Loved this place!
They brought breakfast right to our room, the owner and family were so lovely and helped us arrange activities. Definitely see the Hindu temple close by, and Alingaling waterfalls. Would absolutely recommend staying here :)
The apartment could have had a bit of a better clean, there was some dirt and cobwebs but it wasn’t too bad.

Traveling with my wife and 13-year-old daughter, Bebek Biru is, simply, the best place we've stayed in Bali. It is a quiet, self-contained two-storey villa 200m off the road with a view across the rice paddies down to the river and up to the magnificent ridge in the distance. It is peaceful, beautiful, relaxing and restorative. We simply didn’t want to leave, either day to day, or in the end when we had to.
From the path, you enter the big downstairs room with a kitchen and lounge with a large divan and well-stocked bookcase, and to the side, an indoor-outdoor bathroom (with lovely pregnant woman statue blessing the massive bath). You climb a spiral staircase to the second floor, where there is a big bedroom with a queen and a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. Both levels have large verandahs with table, chairs and a divan. We virtually lived on the upstairs verandah, playing cards, reading and simply gazing out at the view as the crows of local roosters and clanging of the local gamelan blew in on the breeze.
The house is managed by Wayan, who comes each morning to cook a simple, delicious breakfast and and attend to your every need, for example organising walks through the rice fields, or a taxi. He is friendly and competent and speaks good English.
Sideman is a small and peaceful authentic working village, with an unobtrusive tourist presence, levels of accommodation from low to high end, and many good warungs. Very close to Bebek Biru are two small shops to buy snacks, water etc. and also close at hand are cafes for simple, inexpensive food. Bebek Biru is the perfect base from which to enjoy and explore peaceful Sideman.
Our only suggestion would be to have a stand for those really big bottles of filtered water. Buying so many plastic bottles of water doesn't feel great. Also, the double bed upstairs has a very firm mattress - just a little too firm for two of us.

Nice accommodation amongst rice fields close to main area of town.
Plenty of warungs and restaurants close by within walking distance.
About 15-20min walk to yellow bridge.
Beautiful outlook from accommodation.
Bathrooms were clean but kitchen could have been a little better kept.

We loved the whole vibe of Bebek Biru… beautiful Indonesian teak furniture and beautifully designed … loads of character and very comfortable

Great location and really friendly staff. Wayan that runs it is amazing. They also own a few fancy villas so you can go and use the pool there.
The bed mattress wasn’t the best but fine

I love everything about Bebek Biru. This is the second time I have stayed here. The location is Divine.
Tucked away in the Rice Fields but within walking distance to many Restaurants.
Bebek Biru is soooo comfortable. The bed with mosquito net is so cosy. There are heaps of comfortable Chairs to curl up in. That's one of the reasons I chose to stay here.
The views are stunning.. There is a full kitchen if you are choosing to cook for yourself. Which you don't get everywhere.
Wayan who looks after the villa is the kindest young man. Nothing is a bother to him. He makes a delicious breakfast & can organize transport for you.
He speaks very good English so communication is easy.
I would throughly recommend Bebek Biru.
I can't wait to visit again.
♡♡♡
Nothing really.
But if I have to say something it would be that they don't have eftpos facilities on site.
It's available via another hotel though, so it's just takes a small trip on the bike to pay with card.
Minor detail. It's totally fabulous here.
♡♡♡

Situated in a very quiet area of sidemen, with a few other home stays around if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle then the location is great. The staff were very friendly, it’s ran by two guys. one of them spoke better English and the other had poor English so there was a language barrier there. The gardens are well maintained and the Villa room looked ace but we stayed in the garden room. The bed was very comfy!
Too many bugs!! We loved the bath but when we went to use it there were loads of caterpillar / centipede things around? The room smelt damp and so did the bed linens. We would have loved a soft chair to sit outside on the small patio. There is a rattan furniture set inside the room but the cushions on that were also dirty. The breakfast was just okay, it’s delivered to the room in the morning. However, the first breakfast wasn’t collected until the morning after and it was covered in insects. We left the plates outside for collection but it was there all day. The fan in the room didn’t work and we didn’t want to use the ceiling fan as we didn’t want dust blowing around and when I asked for a new fan the man didn’t understand me, just said not to worry about it, so it was a bit hot in the night. Was okay for a two night stay but I probably wouldn’t stay again.

The location was perfect in the middle of the ricefield. The olace we stay was beautiful, unique and homey. We would love to come back again when we go to sidemen in the future
The contact person given in the booking.com page was not working at all. Cannot be called/ text, we were trying to make sure our booking before arrival.
So it's better if they can change the working c.p. number in the future

I loved everything about Bebek Biru. I loved that it was tucked away in the Ricefields, I loved all the comfortable furniture & the fully self contained kitchen. I loved that it was in walking distance to one of the best Vegan Restaurants I have ever been too. I loved that there was great things to do. I did a Vegan cooking class & a Silver Jewellery making class at Sidemen Silver. I loved how helpful Wayan was. He looked after me impeccably. The breakfasts he made were Divine, he made my bed & tidied my room every day & helped with transport as well. I loved that there was a little Tea House & Day Spa just down the road. I had many great massages while I was there. I can't wait to get back to this beautiful space. It was one of the best places I have ever stayed in.
The only thing I struggled a little with was that there was very little lighting on the street at the front of the Homestay so seeing the sign was tricky & a few of the lights were out on the path to the villa.
Oh, & the fans need fixing but I didn't need them anyway, so not a huge concern for me.

Very nice place to stay in Sidemen. Private view from your place over the ricefields, good bed, big room, scooter renting is easy
the shower did not always have hot water

Peaceful area, quite beautiful.
The bathroom should have been sectioned off. There was not a private space to use the facilities.

The location is fantastic, the room is spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff is really nice and they have a very cute puppy. It was clean where necessary but a good scrub wouldn't be a bad idea.
The breakfast wasn't the best, not very rich in options but it was okay. Because its in nature you will hear a lot of natural sounds (with all the insects and animals around), I was alone so it was a little bit scary. Also, in the bathroom, there is a window that you cannot close with a curtain, for privacy, it would be better if all windows have shutters.
