Water heating was an absolute nightmare. They had to change it and the gas smell was awful. The food in the restaurant, breakfast or dinner was less than average. Really need to improve that.

I really do not want to share how lovely this space is! Family friendly, quiet surrounds, surrounded by nature, great food options, lovely staff.

The one reason I did not rate a ‘10’ is a selfish one - the floor below us was having repairs/maintenance done so no sleep ins were able to be had. We understand that works have to be done, it would of been good to have been informed.

Beautiful accommodation in Sidemen. Value for money.

A beautiful Balinese owed accommodation choice. Room was cosy and had a great bathroom. Short walk to money changer and other restaurants. Restaurant at accommodation was fantastic. We only ate there. Breakfast was huge and great value for money. Pool was beautiful.

There was nothing we didn’t like. We didn’t want to leave.

We had an amazing stay! The location was fantastic a bit far away but that’s ok. Quite rooms and hotel with easy access to the pool and a private beach. The room was comfortable, with good water pressure and hot water, and the staff were incredibly helpful, checking in to see if we wanted the room refreshed in the evening. The breakfast was excellent, the coffee in the room and TV worked perfectly, and the beds were comfortable. Renting bikes from the property made exploring the area easy and fun. There’s a private pool for in-house guests and another pool for other customers, and the cocktails were amazing. Overall, everything about this property — from the amenities to the staff — made our stay truly enjoyable.

Absolutely loved my stay. The hotel seemed to be in a good location, close to some nice restaurants and accessible to some of the walks in the rice fields. The room and pool were beautiful, comfortable, and clean, and Sidemen was a stunning and relaxing place to stay. Would recommend!

Beautiful setting

Beautiful location, lovely view right from the balcony or pool, restaurant was very good and the hotel is well run with friendly staff.

It wasn't as intimate as I was expecting from the photos, upstairs and downstairs neighbours were noisy. There was never any warm water in the shower in my room (1) for 5 days, asked twice for someone to look at it but nothing was done. Also a lot of black and green mould in the bathroom which needs treating. 1 single wardrobe is not big enough - room could fit a bigger one, i don't like to live out of suitcase on holiday, it like to unpack. Room 3 leaked a lot in the rain.

It was gorgeously set amongst the rice paddies. Our bungalow was very private, the gardens were beautiful & the breakfast was exceptional. The staff were very responsive when our baby had an accident. Lovely friendly helpful staff.

Forever memories in Sidemen.

Even though we were passing through, our stay at Sawah Indah made a very big impression. Loved the location in the middle of a green oasis, the room was big and very comfortable, splendid view, quiet at night except the sounds of nature and the bathroom is quite an experience.

I didn't like checking out because I wished I could stay a bit longer.

Perfect stay

We loved this place and wished we could have stayed longer. Perfect location after the busyness of Ubud. Our room was huge, only a few steps from the pool and overlooking the rice plantation. Breakfast had good choice to order, and we really enjoyed what we had. There was a spa, but we didn’t have enough time forbthis. All staff were extremely friendly Highly recommended, great value for money

The steps up to the property would benefit from being jet washed as it was covered in algae like matter (presumably as a result of humidity) and slippy to walk on.

Not the cleanest place I stayed at Toilet almost coming out of the wall Shower is terrible, impossible to wash your hair correctly I worked in a restaurant so I understand the hassle but tried to order food at 9.05 pm at the restaurant (last order at 9pm but restaurant closes at 10 pm) and the Waitress refused too, I am a solo traveler, I only wanted a plate of noodles, I found it very unhelpful Had to go somewhere else The next morning, I went to get breakfast and they did not get a single thing right and forgot about at least half of my order, I was tired of waiting and having to ask for everything and just left so I did not eat much that morning It was my most expensive stay of my 2 weeks here in Bali and was not worth it

Gorgeous views and Balinese decor

From the moment we entered this property we were amazed at how peaceful and beautiful it is. Our room was spacious and clean and we really liked the Balinese decor. Our terrace was an extension of the room overlooking the rice fields and the hills. It was like being inside of a painting. Absolutely gorgeous. Everyone working at this hotel was very nice and polite. We would like to come back and stay here again.

A pleasant hotel in a good location. Lovely pool

Lovely pool and garden. Restaurant with a view and good live music twice a week (though be aware that there is currently construction going on in the rice paddy next door - though the sound wasn’t a problem while I was there.) Attractive rooms with large patio, light/ feel with large glass patio doors and stylishly decorated (at least mine was)

Be aware of lots of steps to some rooms. Not an issue for most but worth bearing in mind if you have mobility issues. My bungalow was private but situated at the bottom of the hill and smelt a little of mould - although I think this is an issue with many places in Bali unless they in full sun

Tranquil stay in the heart of Sideman overlooking the rice terraces

The staff were very friendly and the pool was beautiful with a great view over the rice terraces. Situated only a 20 min scooter ride to a nearby waterfall.

There were lots of bugs flying around the pool but this can’t be helped due to the location of the hotel!

Affordable but luxurious accommodations in a quiet village with many amenities.

Extraordinarily well-maintained property with beautiful, spacious bungalows placed adjacent to working rice fields with mountain views and lovely landscaping. One of the very nicest places we stayed during a month of traveling around Bali. Fantastic restaurant with excellent service, gourmet meals, live music, and beautiful views as it is perched on a second story patio. A large number of very nice restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance. The village is small, and the area is generally quiet, although the facilities for tourists and visitors are nearly all of the highest caliber. And affordable, too. Luxury on a budget.

The only thing we didn’t like was the occasional burning of rice stubble in the agricultural area, as the smoke can be irritating. But this is a problem we encountered nearly everywhere we went in Bali, which is extensively cultivated for family scale agriculture.
