Great Stay

The wooden house is modern and exactly as depicted in the pictures. Ketut and his family are amazing hosts. Sidemen is a beautiful and calm area, from which you can start great day trips, e.g. to Mount Batur, Virgin Beach, Tirta Gangga, or Pura Besakih.

Keep in mind that the restaurant scene in Sidemen is fairly limited; there are only a few non-Indonesian options.

Great location to explore Sideman

There are only two Villa’s in this small property runnend by a very nice family The houses are new and very clean The locations is great Also the prepared Indonesian breakfast was very tasty Just a few minutes walk to the rise fields entrance (Pucak Luah Santi Tracking) and restaurants We also did a vegan cooking class at Anandinii Organic Garden & Kitchen that is about 10 min drive Some coffee tasting is also in the neighborhood Who does not want to be in the middle of all the tourists this is the place to book

A Small Paradise Amidst the Rice Fields

We were incredibly lucky to stay at one of the two accommodations run by Ketut and his family – an absolute hidden gem! The location is stunning: nestled among lush green rice fields and far from the hustle and bustle, it offers a truly peaceful atmosphere. Every morning, we enjoyed our breakfast right on the terrace – with views of the greenery, fresh air, and everything your heart could desire. The breakfast was lovingly prepared and absolutely delicious! We especially want to highlight Ketut and his family. They are incredibly warm and helpful, offering great tips about the area and even organizing tours upon request. This allowed us to explore the surroundings at a relaxed pace while gaining many authentic impressions. With only two accommodations, the limited number of guests makes it feel like a small, family-run oasis – personal, peaceful, and absolutely relaxing. We would come back any time!

Peaceful oasis, with a chance to experience real Bali

This is a beautiful villa in a stunning area of sidemen. It’s right near the rice paddy walk so you can easily just walk over to the entrances from the accomodation. There are lovely warungs nearby. The family running this place are also a highlight. Lovely helpful family and their daughters were such a pleasure! So good at making you comfortable and such a joy to talk to! They made me dinner and breakfast and both were lovely! Slept wonderful! So quiet!

Comfortable Wilderness in a Lovely Family-Owned Lodging – Perfect Location & Service!

I absolutely LOVED everything about our stay here! The landscape is beautiful, and what a privilege to wake up in the middle of the vegetation with a view over the rice fields, with birds and cicadas for companions. The room is in a charming independent wooden cabin – quiet, private and comfortable. The bed was spacious and extremely comfortable, we both had a very restful sleep. The breakfast (included) they brought to our balcony was just right. Our host Ketut was wonderful in every detail, always generous and accommodating – he arranged for us a guided tour in the rice terraces, and he was himself our private guide/driver for 2 days. It was also lovely to meet his wife and daughters, who all work in the business as well. You feel love and care in every detail. A truly heart-warming experience! Highly recommended.

Beware of the nasty mosquitos in the rice fields!! (better use repellent)

Gorgeous stay in the middle of nature with kind locals

This place is gorgeous! I felt like I was on a luxurious glamping safari. The staff are so kind and helpful, the interior of the bungalows is beautiful and spotless. The bed is so comfortable and I had the best sleep. The surrounding rice terraces and view from the terrace is to die for. I only wish I could stay longer.

The property is rural which gives it its charm but it also means that the surrounding jungle gets LOUD at night. I loved hearing the sounds but it might make it a bit difficult to sleep without earplugs (i was perfectly fine with mine). The walls are also not soundproof so if you are unlucky with your neighbors (only one other bungalow), earplugs come in handy again. I could hardly wish for a better place and better value for my money for my stay in Sideman.

Wish we could stay longer!

We loved our stay in the Villa! The views on rice terraces and greenery were wonderful. Having breakfast (very delicious by the way) with that view is unbeatable! Staff were very nice and helpful. There’s hot water and towels. You can walk to Sideman rice terraces from the villas. We only stayed for one night, wish we could stayed longer!

Séjour inoubliable ! La famille qui gère cet hébergement est d’une rare gentillesse : toujours disponible, attentionnée, et prête à rendre service. On se sent vraiment comme chez soi. Le logement était très propre, calme, confortable et bien équipé. L’emplacement est idéal pour découvrir la ville ; j’ai eu la chance de rencontrer des personnes incroyables et de vivre une expérience authentique. J’avais prévu de rester peu de temps, mais j’ai tellement aimé que j’ai décidé de prolonger mon séjour. Merci pour tout, je recommande les yeux fermés ! 🌺🙏 Unforgettable stay! Magnifique séjour

Quel accueil ! La gentillesse de Ketut et sa nièce Dessit 💕Ketut peut venir vous chercher à l’aéroport ou vous faire découvrir une magnifique cascade à côté. La chambre est très propre, dans une végétation luxuriante. Tout est neuf. Le lit très confortable avec la climatisation. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse. À 5 minutes à pieds de Sidemen rice terrasse ! Sinon Ketut vous conseillera des restaurants avec des vues imprenables sur les rizières. Merci Ketut pour votre accueil ainsi qu’à toute votre famille. Je recommande 100%

Séjour au milieu des champs et des rizières

Nous avons beaucoup aimé l’accueil de Ketut et sa famille dans un très joli cadre. Seulement 2 logements dans cette guest house qui rendent le séjour proche de ses habitants et nos hôtes ont parfaitement répondu à toutes nos demandes! Situation parfaite pour visiter sidemen en scooter et au milieu des champs de fleurs et des rizières. Meilleurs satay ayam pour moi à Bali! Un coup de cœur pour nous :) 🙏

Stukje paradijs op aarde

Alles wat je zoekt voor een droomvakantie op Bali vind je hier in het mooie huisje van de hardwerkende sympathieke eigenaar I Ketut Sumada. De twee huisjes liggen in een oase van rust met prachtige uitzichten op de dichtbij gelegen meest authentieke rijstterrassen van Indonesië en wel die van het dorpje Sidemen. Sidemen heeft zijn oorspronkelijke Balinese karakter goed weten te behouden. Je kunt er in de vele warungs (kleinschalige restaurantjes) voor een ongelooflijk klein bedrag heerlijk eten en drinken. De lokale bevolking is vriendelijk en spontaan en maakt graag een praatje met je. Lumbung Uma Luah, een van de mooiste paradijselijke plekken op aarde…

Omdat Sidemen wat verder in het binnenland ligt, wat de natuur en de rust ten goede komen, moet je er wel even voor rijden met een taxi. Maar als je er eenmaal bent, zul je zien dat de rit er naartoe meer dan de moeite waard is geweest

La struttura è molto bella, immersa tra le risaie. Abbiamo anche avuto modo di provare il ristorante che è squisito, assolutamente consigliato! Il proprietario e la sua famiglia sono favolosi, accoglienti e super disponibili per qualsiasi cosa; ci hanno aiutato ad organizzare le giornate e gli spostamenti. Per noi è assolutamente consigliato e speriamo di tornarci presto!

Hotel familiar para sentirte como en casa

El hotel tiene solo dos habitaciones y lo gestiona una familia muy agradable y super atenta. El padre cocina muy ben y está todo muy bueno. Nosotros no encargamos otras actividades pero ofrece muchas opciones de actividades para hacer. Las vista también es muy xula.

Un cachito de cielo

La ubicación y el personal es maravilloso. La cama súper cómoda. Repetiría sin duda. Se deshacen en ayudarte y conseguirte lo que necesites…moto, chofer, gasolina…

El único puntito a mejorar es el agua de la ducha ya que sale muy poca y es imposible lavarse un pelo de media melena. Por lo demás perfecto!

Tout nous a séduit dans ce petit paradis. La sympathie de Ketut et de sa famille, l'accueil chaleureux avec la possibilité de diner sur place, la qualité de l'hébergement, le rapport qualité / Prix, l'immersion dans les rizières de Sidemen, la beauté et l'authenticité de Sidemen, les conseils de Ketut... Un vrai paradis qu'il faut absolument prévoir dans votre séjour à Bali.

Le chalet est très mignon mais aussi spacieux. Grande salle de bain. Tout est très propre et le personnel nous reçoit chaleureusement. Location de scooter possible directement sur place. Petit déjeuner varié. Petit établissement de 2 chambres donc c'est cosy. Bien situé, warung à côté et rizières accessibles à pied.

Pas de vue direct sur les rizières due aux palmiers devant la chambre.

Villa au milieu des rizieres. Ketut, notre hote est aux petits soins pour ses hotes et aide à l organisation du séjour et visites. Sidemen est une région magnifique, aussi bien pour la visites de temples que de promenades/randonnees. Et le faire à partir des villas de Ketut et de sa famille est parfaite. Villas très jolies, propres et fonctionnelles. Nous recommandons fortement. Corinne et Nicolas PS: avons mangé chez ketut et petit warung top à 80m

Genial, je recommande.

Merci pour cet accueil parfait, 2 logements dans la propriété donc si vous reservez les 2 vous etes les seuls, logement tres recents donc equipement et confort au top. Tres bien placé pour visiter la region, en plein dans les riziere magnifique. Le propriétaire Ketut peu vous organiser pleins d activités et en plus il est taxi. Je recommande vivement.

Comme departout a bali, pour nous occidentaux, des rideaux occultants et ce serait le paradis😜

Aangenaam kleinschalig verblijf

De eigenaar Ketut heeft ons vriendelijk ontvangen. Ontbijt was lekker en goed verzorgd. De huisjes - het zijn er maar 2 in totaal - zijn proper en heel mooi vanbinnen en ook zeker ruim genoeg. Wifi uitstekend. 2 scooters gehuurd. Wij waren er met een gezin van 4 en hadden de 2 huisjes geboekt en hadden dus de hele locatie voor ons alleen 😊 Aanrader!

Kleine minpuntjes: handdoeken zouden mogen vernieuwd worden na 1 of 2 nachten verblijf. 2 flesjes water voor 4 dagen is te weinig. De ligging is niet zooo rustig, om half 6 beginnen alle hanen van de ruime omgeving zich te laten horen, veel blaffende honden en geluid van scooters. Zonder scooter vrij afgelegen.

AMAZING

La famille était au petit soin. Si touchants, ils nous ont vraiment émues. Pas mal de choix pour les repas. Un rapport qualité prix qui bat tous les records! Tout est fait maison et leur Dadar Gurung (crêpe avec de la coco frit) fut une évasion pour nos papilles. Un séjour atypique avec une vue agréable et surtout une famille extraordinaire! Terima Kasih 🙏🏼🥹🩷 nous reviendrons je l’espère.
