Loka Amertha

Dodi the host was amazing! His English is great and he taught me a lot about Hinduism & Sideman. I loved the cooking class, rice terrace tour and also we went to the local food market and he explained everything! The room itself is perfect with a huge bathroom.

We stayed in the beautiful family room, that looks like it is a fancy resort. But it is way cheaper. The veranda is a wonderful spot to sit. It is situated in a garden, where they are at the moment building a swimmingpool. We enjoyed the time with the manager Dodi, who we booked for trip to temples. He speaks very good english. You can fill up your water bottles in the room, and there is fridge and tea. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We booked massage which was very pleasant. The hotel is not far from the Samsara Living Museum which I can highly recommend for the whole family. All in all we had a wonderful stay and wish we had more time to go hiking in the rice fields. A hotel with extremely good value for the money!

The hotel is situated close to the road, so you can hear the traffic a little bit, but we did not mind. The room was very clean, but maybe the fridge could use a little extra cleaning. Many westeners would appreciate a toilet brush in the bathroom. There were not any mosquitos when we were there, but if there is in some periods of the year, it may be a good idea to change mosquito net, so it covers the whole bed.

Sideman is spread out but Loka Amertha is a short walk to the Rice Field Trek and Made's Silver Course. The bedroom and bathroom in the cabin are spacious and nicely set up.The staff are very welcoming and willing to answer any queries. Breakfast is substantial and it was worthwhile eating a home cooked dinner in the simple dining room. A swimming pool is under construction and will add to the facilities.I enjoyed my stay.

Sections of the garden are being renewed. This was not a problem but it will take a little time to grow and fill out.

Decent location and it was nice and clean
