The villa was spacious, and the mezzanine provided a nice separate area for the kids to sleep. The bed was super comfortable, and it was right in the beach.

The bath lacked a plug, which nobody was able to help with. The location was also tricky without a car. Taxis/ Grabs are not readily available in the area for short trips, and it was difficult to walk far due to lack of pavements/ space at the edge of the road. Breakfast options were all very much based around eggs which was problematic for one of our party.

We loved waking up to the sound of the waves lapping on the stone beach and viewing the sunrise. The sea was wonderful to watch from our front balcony. We saw turtles swim by, fish jumping and the local fishing boats coming and going with news of how the catch went. The snorkelling just off shore was full of fish and coral. You can rent fins and gear from Candak just out the front (WhatsApp 62 8998210331) and also book a boat trip with him. The pool was cool with some shade. The room had a shower open to the outside air, a fridge, little desk, comfy bed, an outside table and daybed. The restaurant was good with a variety of meals. The staff were friendly, relaxed and helpful. A handy small supermarket opposite. We loved our stay and think it's a great value 3 star accommodation. We'll be back.

EASY FIX- You need beach shoes to make it comfortable to walk on the large pebbles on the beach. Hilarious watching folk negotiating the swim exit.

Management gave us different rooms after complaining about our allocated room which had smell.

Disclaimer: we usually stayed at more expensive places, so I try not to compare this place against the more expensive ones. However, this place is definitely old and a bit run down. The pictures on booking.com show it in better times. Staff seemed a bit unmotivated. Both this place and the one next door are locally owned and similarly priced, however next door has better staff, nicer maintained gardens, new mats for sunlounges and better food. Owner should invest in upkeep and staff training. There is a little snorkeling spot outside the resort on left. Careful with entering water right infront the marked spot as there are some sharp rocks.
