One of the best Best Westerns.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The food is exceptional for a Best Western (but we are in France!), the wine excellent (as to be expected in France!) and the beer very good (not to be expected in France!). The room has been very comfortable both times and quiet. Will definitely be back next year. Merci beaucoup!

Lovely location for dog owners and dogs very welcome

The location and its cleanliness.

That when you come down for breakfast with still a half an hour to go, the sausages and option had gone. Only scrambled eggs which was burnt was left of the cooked breakfast. Also the selection of cheese were left without cover in the fridge, so had gone dry and hard.

Great place for our overnight stop

The hotel is well located next to a lake. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The restaurant offers a limited menu but the food is good. Breakfast good All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Hotel in very good location but needs a change of management.

It’s very conveniently located on the way to the tunnel. Clean rooms, nice breakfast.

It’s a fourth or fifth time we staid in the hotel. Always highlight was dinner in the restaurant. Now the chef has changed and dinner was very disappointing. Plus there was a big group of bikers which were very noisy. We could even converse at our table. Have to find another place for next time.

Ideal hotel for ferry services

Very handily located for Dunkirk. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant which I would highly recommend.

The hotel looks quite shabby from the outside but actually is much better on the inside! Pillows were quite hard

A basic but comfortable hotel

It was very clean and the staff were friendly and efficient

A cycle race group were staying at the hotel, and electricity wires to their vehicles was plugged in on the corridor leading to our room leaving two thick electric cables laying across the floor which was a serious trip hazard.

Great location

Shower is over the bath, very high to get in or out, especially for pensioners. Also no anti slip mat in shower. Quality of the toilet paper very poor, we always take our own

Convenient for an overnight stop before crossing the Channel.

The breakfast was quite average and coffee was not good! OK for one night but wouldn't stay any longer.

location with a lake - brilliant for a one night stay with your fury friend.

Check in (late) was easy and we could order some drinks at the bar. The room was great, windows could be opened (I need fresh air) and the bathroom was well thought through and spacious.

Lovely hotel , quite small rooms but clean and well maintained

Lovely location next to a lake despite it being just off the motorway. Breakfast was good value and the hotel was clean and tidy

The room was very small , not much room for suitcases. There were a group of people with dogs on the grass outside our room until quite late at night so we had to close our window in the heat and no air conditioning

Exceptional

The staff went above and beyond to meet our expectations! We felt welcomed and enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you very much for making our stay such a great experience! The walk by the lake was so peaceful and beautiful! Our dog was welcomed, too! The whole atmosphere is relaxed, every member of staff we met was smiling, happy, ready to help. Great value for money. A special mention goes to the restaurant, starting with the chef and tasty dinner, to our beautiful waitress, who was awesome! She even taught us French a little ;).

The selection of milk for coffee could be more plentiful. It was only one milk and one condensated milk satchets on the tray. During breakfast, we've noticed it a few flies around food.

The hotel is perfect for a one night stay when you take the ferry the next day, parking is free.

We booked the room for one night as we took the ferry the next morning to Dover. The location was perfect as we didn’t need to drive through Dunkirk. The room was very quiet and comfortable. The bathroom facilities were good and so was the lighting.

Breakfast was not great and there wasn‘t much selection.

Breakfast and helpful staff there. View on the lake when eating outside. Free parking.

Bad sound isolation. Couldn’t sleep both nights. People walking and talking in the corridor day and night. Smell in the bathroom, cracked ceiling in the shower. Somebody’s hair in the sink and shower. This was disgusting. Cleaning improvement is a must. Lumpy pillow and duvet.

Good value, Good staff, Good service

Being close to the major road and motorway network, the location is great for those travelling onwards out of Dunkirk, though despite the close proximity to the roads, there was absolutely no road noise, and you could easily think you were somewhere much more remote. The rooms are quite basic and need a little updating, but in no way are they bad. They’re clean and well looked after, and comfortable enough for a night passing through. The staff are very polite and welcoming, and for those whose French is a little rusty, they all speak very good English, and are keen to help and support. The on-site restaurant is good, and the food very nice. The waiter was polite and knowledgeable, and made good recommendations on food and wine. Breakfast was good, and worth booking if you have a long day ahead. For what you get, it’s a good price for a good service. I’d stay here again if passing through Dunkirk. If, however, you’re staying in the area, you’d maybe want somewhere a little closer to the centre or the waterfront.
