Overnight stay

Spacious comfortable room and a great restaurant popular with locals. Steaks cut to size and cooked on an open bbq in the restaurant. Plenty of choice on the menu. Breakfast was exceptionally good.

Breakfast did not start until 0830 on Saturday.However I left, visited a ship in Zeebrugge and came back for breakfast at 0930!

2 kamers moeten nemen voor 3 personen... 4 personen was maar 20€ verschil geweest... Toch nog 20€ extra moeten betalen voor mijn hond... Ontbijt was heel basic voor wat we betaald hebben...

Ontbijt was goed maar eerder aan de sobere kant. Er was geen brood enkel pistolets en sandwiches. Geen gebakken ontbijtspek of roerei. Er was wel ruim voldoende beleg.

Propreté dans la chambre (poussière sous le lit et toiles d'araignée), le spa n'était pas propre et le hammam ne fonctionnait pas. Travaux en cours dans les couloirs.

Zeer middelmatig verblijf aan een te hoge prijs

De locatie en het authentieke landgoed zijn de absolute troeven. Wij vonden de kamer leuk ingericht en het bed comfortabel.

De hygiëne laat sterk te wensen over. Zoals ook andere hotelgasten reeds schreven, is de kamer bedekt met een laagje stof. In een hoek trof ik dode pissenbedden aan, er zat schimmel in de minifridge en er lagen verschillende haren in het bed. Bah! Het ontbijt stond al klaar op tafel nog voor wij toekwamen. Het is onduidelijk sinds wanneer dit ontbijt al klaarstond, maar het fruit proefde ondertussen al wat zuur. Het ontbijt werd bovendien geserveerd op schalen ingepakt in vershoudfolie met daarop geschreven “2p” (zie foto). Niet zo appetijtelijk! Toen we de ober om een beetje water vroegen, kregen wij een flesje 50cl Spa dat ons vervolgens werd aangerekend… maar liefst 8 euro (?!!!). Het personeel was tot slot niet hartelijk. Geen goeiemorgen, alles naar wens,… we kregen ook geen excuses toen we bij het uitchecken vermeldden dat we teleurgesteld waren door de hygiëne in onze kamer. Kortom: 185 euro voor één nacht is véél te veel voor dit etablissement. Er zijn veel aangenamere etablissementen in de regio voor die prijs. Wij keren niet meer terug.

locatie was prachtig en rustgevend. Er was een goed voorzien ontbijt en gastvrij personeel.

Kamer was niet ideaal om te delen met een niet-partner, aangezien de douche en toilet (via spiegel) direct zichtbaar was over de hele kamer.

Toen wij toekwamen bleek dat er een groot evenement aan de gang was. We waren daarover graag vooraf geïnformeerd, dan waren we beter op een andere dag gekomen.
