Delightful and charming guest house

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this delightful property. We originally thought that we would be renting a car at the time that we stayed here, but we ended up using the train. The nearest train station is about a 25 minute walk and Fred, the owner, very kindly offered to pick us up at the train station with our bags and bring us back to the property. He also did the same for us when we left at the end of our stay and even another time or two during our visit. He went above and beyond for us, and we really appreciated that. We rented the family room, which consisted of a bedroom on the main floor and then a separate loft with two twin beds. It was very comfortable and spacious and suited our needs. Breakfast was delightful and is served in the charming living room. We hope that we can come back soon.

Everything was tiptop perfect. From entering the property, you can already tell it's a beautiful and well-maintained place; the common area is super cozy and the room was gorgeous, sparkling clean and just full of charm. The owners were incredibly kind; making sure we found a place nearby to have a late dinner, and making us fell very welcome. Breakfast was superb and the surroundings really pretty for a short walk. Would stay again without having to think about it; in fact, the only sad thing is that we only stayed on night!

Wonderful storybook accomodation with lots of little special touches

Everything. The house is something from a picture book and the family were so welcoming and friendly. The house is stunning, the gardens are beautiful and there was lots to see in the surrounding towns and we had a wonderful dinner in a nearby town. Breakfast was wonderful also. We will be back!

Exceptional

If you expect accommodation like in a standard hotel, this is not the place for you. Here you live individually, in an old building with history. There was breakfast on the terrace every morning and nothing was left to be desired. The family room was big enough and we slept very well. The hosts are wonderful and we had a great time. And our dog Enya was not only allowed, she was warmly welcomed. We couldn't ask for a better place.

The whole stay was excellent Axel and Guy cared a lot and made those 6 days unforgetable. Every morning we had an excellent breakfast and very good talks. The days started with a laugh, what else can you wish for. WE got good advices for trips and restaurants. Thank you both, we keep that in mind as a special trip wth very special people. Heerlijk tot rust komen in historische setting

De fijne setting in een oude hoeve die geschiedenis van de nabijgelegen abdij uitstraalt. De prachtige tuin en gezellige gemeenschappelijke ruimte met haard waar we samen met onze hond erg welkom waren. Het heerlijke uitgebreide ontbijt, alsook de lekkere koffie en fijne attenties zoals versgebakken lekkers en chocolaatje bij de koffie. De "blauwe kamer" waar wij verbleven, die is tot in de details piekfijn afgewerkt met behoud van oude elementen en een prachtige badkamer.

De snelweg ligt in de buurt en is buiten wel wat te horen, maar werd 's morgens al overstemd door vrolijk gefluit van vogeltjes en eenmaal binnen is er niks van te horen.

Heerlijk weekendje in de polders

Fantastische B&B in een mooi oud pand, heel smaakvol en gezellig ingericht. De locatie heerlijk rustig en mooi om te wandelen. Lissewege is een knus dorpje. Erg vriendelijke ontvangst met goede uitleg, inclusief over de geschiedenis van de buurt en het huis. 's Morgens wachtte ons een lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt bij een knappend haardvuur. Perfect voor een winterweekend!

Voor het bad in onze kamer moest je eerder lenig zijn. Geen probleem voor ons, maar ik kan me voorstellen dat dat voor oudere mensen lastig zou kunnen zijn.

Super séjour entre Blankenberge et Bruges

Couple très accueillant et chaleureux! Ils nous ont conseillé un bon restaurant pour manger dans le coin. Chambre très confortable! Nombreuses petites attentions dans la chambre j'ai trouvé cela très touchant. Super petit-déjeuner. Parking très facile. Tranquillité pour dormir car au milieu des champs. Bref un super séjour!

Vieille maison donc portes basses et salle de bain avec plafond très bas. Bémol pour la baignoire, pas possible de prendre une douche debout dedans car le plafond est beaucoup trop bas. Matelas un peu trop mou à mon goût mais le reste de la literie est top!

Accueil chaleureux par la propriétaire, grand lit confortable, eau/café/thé à disposition. Grand jardin et terrasse accessibles aux hôtes. Petit déjeuner copieux avec produits maisons.

Route fréquentée devant la maison. Douche/évier dans la chambre et portes style "saloon" pour la toilette également dans la chambre. Cela ne m'a pas gênée voyageant seule mais à prendre en compte éventuellement.

Schitterende authentieke en karaktervolle woonst, waarbij we ook gebruik konden maken van een heel aangename living met haardvuur, erg sfeervol ingericht in kerststemming

Een verborgen parel in Lissewege! Vanaf het moment dat we werden ontvangen, voelden we ons enorm welkom dankzij de bijzonder vriendelijke gastheer. De honesty bar en de supergezellige gemeenschappelijke living met open haard gaven ons verblijf meteen een warm en huiselijk gevoel. Onze kamer was prachtig authentiek ingericht en de lakens roken heerlijk fris — echt een plezier om in te slapen. De badkamer was voorzien van kwaliteitsvolle producten en zelfs gezichtsmaskers, wat een fijne verrassing was. Onze dochter kreeg bovendien speelgoed, wat haar verblijf extra speciaal maakte. Het ontbijt was royaal, vers en lokaal. Helaas was ik ziek en kon ik er niet volop van genieten, maar dat weerhoudt ons er absoluut niet van om terug te komen. Integendeel: we keren zeker en vast terug! Chapeau voor de gastheer en gastvrouw — ze doen dit zó goed. Ik kan dit verblijf aan iedereen aanraden
