It’s a nice little hotel but with plenty of options in the area I would shop around.

The location was great, the breakfast was really good and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel in general is very dated which maybe for some may feel that it’s in keeping with the building. For me it just felt like it needs a refurb. The room was also dated, old furniture, old bedding and old and cheaply fitted bathroom. The pictures online do not reflect the condition of the room. The room was very cold which I found out late in the evening that the balcony door was not shut and locked properly, this was quite difficult to do due to old fittings and tightly fitting doors. The room had a radiator which was initially off, this was easy to turn on but was mostly covered by the double wardrobe. This prevented heat radiating into the room. The bedding was old and had repairs in it (stitched up hole) I had payed extra for a double bed but it was two single beds pushed together so could have payed the lower rate for a single bed.

Good location and good basic amenities- however some staff were not cheerful or helpful.

Okay here’s the story, after one night I had welts on parts of my body- didn’t think much of it. After the second night many more welts. The corner pharmacy advised I had bed bug bytes and provided medication to reduce the awful swelling and itchiness This infestation of bugs ruined our last 3 days in Belgium. I did not report this to the hotel management as I was not certain at the time it was bed bugs, and found only after we checked - but perhaps you can pass this on the hotel management. Our room number was 214. Otherwise it was a nice stay in Knokke.

breakfast was quite nice with plenty of fresh fruit. the beds were comfortable too, although the comforters were quite warm for summer. the shower was nice, but there were exposed cables above the bathroom mirror. also there wasn't a safe or an iron in the room, which was a bit unfortunate.

Great 2 night stay for the Knokke 10km race.

This hotel is very close to restaurants, shopping and cafes. Was a cute and comfortable room. Customer service was excellent. Will stay there again!

Sleep deprived

The room was clean. The receptionist on my 2nd day was friendly.

The extremely rude receptionist when checking in. When I arrived, I told him I would like to check-in. He kept saying "we're full" although I had made a reservation weeks ago! After a little argument, he found my reservation. The room was noisy - I could hear the traffic from the street all night so I had a pretty lousy sleep. Luckily I was able to change rooms after the first night but again I was woken up in the middle of the night by drunk people in the hallway and police investigating a possible rape in the room opposite mine. Also, I wish they had other milk options such as almond or oat at breakfast.
