Cigarette butts out by back entrance/ parking bays! Early closing , leaving you feeling rushed, a cosy seat to drink after a meal on holiday is always lovely!

Cosy, beautiful room with such a comfortable bed!

Cigarette butts out around back parking entrance but polite staff! Understood the pub couldn’t open every night for food/ drinks but when open just before 9 pm you felt rushed as they obviously wanted to shut early!

The breakfast was very good as was the lovely, friendly lady who prepared and served it.

We received an email 3 days before our stay which recommended booking an evening meal even though we were B & B guests. We then discovered via a phone call that the restaurant and the bar were closed and had been for a while - absolutely disgusting not to have had the decency of some prior notice. We had to go into town for a meal with no service on our return - a dead, unwelcoming pub. Since then there has not even been an apology - totally unacceptable customer care!!! To top it all, we found a pair of dirty socks in the bedroom under the curtain.

The room was super cute! Beautifully decorated and styled. The breakfast was exceptional!! The room was warm and very clean.

I don't like to say negative comments but it's a good place to give feedback to an otherwise excellent experience. The righthand side bed side lamp was broken on the on/off switch. , not a problem, we used the other one. The bathroom was wonderful! The only downside was the mirror was far far far too high to see into!! There was a constant smell of drains also. The fan was a little noisy for quite a long time, but we just closed the door, so not too bothersome.

We had two rooms at the back, off the car parking area. I had expected small but charming. We got small, but not much charm. Bland accommodation, not worth the money, in my view. I won't return.

The room was clean and comfortable and much bigger than expected

The bar area was a bit cold as the front door opened directly into the bar. The log burner wasn't lit, which also didn't help but none of this would be a problem in warmer months, it was after all freezing cold outside

We didn’t like the property very much as the walls between the bedrooms were paper thin. There was no soundproofing whatsoever and you heard every noise and every conversation even through the night we even heard every toilet being flushed and every shower being turned on.

We didn’t like anything about the property . the entrance to the bedrooms at the back was very untidy and needed a good refurbishment. There is limited parking at the accommodation and limited off-road parking in a very busy village. Absolutely no chance of parking during the day a little easier at night. The rooms are tiny and you can hear every noise from every room. You hear every door bang toilets being flushed showers being turned on and every conversation. We had extremely noisy people in the room next-door to us who were still partying at 2 o’clock in the morning as a group of six. I did complain but the group was still there the night after although the manager owner had spoken to them we were not compensated at all, not even a complimentary drink after being disturbed for hours in the middle of the night. It was that bad I rang the pub telephone number at 12:45 am but was told the owner was 40 minutes away and was unable to deal with the situation. I understood that a number of rooms how to complain about the same situation but it was made worse because we were next door to them.

This was our third time staying here, always made welcome and nothing is any trouble, it is a little gem the room was spotless and warm when we arrived Home from home roast beef dinner is a treat we will come back

Nice breakfast for me, pleasant room, shower really good.

No cornflakes at breakfast, not many parking bays, but you can park on the single yellows from 18:00 to 09:00 although a lot of the single yellows go over people driveways.

Rooms lovely and comfortable.

Some staff didn't seem to want to be there at breakfast. 1st morning the lady was lovely, brought us toast and drinks. The second morning had to ask and for more coffee and was told I'm a minute. Possibly not a morning person.

Room was nice, bed was acceptable. Food at breakfast and dinner was really lovely. Staff really welcoming and friendly. Area is gorgeous. I would definitely stay again.

Very limited parking although we managed to park out on road and we were made aware of this before we arrived. Bed could be more comfortable which was the only fault really.

Lack of parking spaces, but not your fault - we parked in a central location, (no cost), and we are quite abke to walk - but we failed to get a spot at the pub which would have been ideal 🙂

Lovely stay. We had room 11 & it was perfect. I was surprised to read reviews it was noisy as it was above the kitchen as we did not hear a thing. Room was spotlessly clean & bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was amazing, great shower & toiletries provided. Breakfast was delicious as was our meal in the evening. All staff were so happy, kind and helpful. Thank you all for such a great stay x

The room was comfortable and had everything you needed. The breakfast was good, with lots of choice and the breakfast lady was very friendly. The evening meal was exceptional but the dining area could have been warmer. Staff were all very friendly Easy walk to Hawkstone Brewery (20 mins) Easy walk into the village.

Unfortunately the WiFi was not good, and as low coverage for mobile data it did impact us. The bathroom could do with either a heated towel rail or radiator. Better details for booking in when the pub was closed

Breakfast was plentiful and the staff were so helpful and friendly that it really made our short stay in the Cotswolds a brilliant part of our trip to the UK.

Beautiful cosy B&B. Lovely food, we had dinner which was delicious and had breakfast included in our stay which was perfect. Location to the village was also perfect being a stones throw away.

There was a funny damp smell in our bathroom which wasn’t very nice and the shower was freezing cold. The door to the building is also very heavy and when people enter it slams shut quite loud, this could be heard from our hotel room. Parking can also be a pain, I do believe if you’ve paid to stay there overnight then you should be guaranteed a space nearby. Luckily after a while we were able to find a space to keep the car overnight by the hairdressers else we would have really struggled.

What’s not to like, warm cosey, full of atmosphere.

Parking is limited. There are places in the village but maybe a problem if mobility is limited.

Only letdown the full English breakfast, bacon precooked so hard when arrived, poached egg cold and hard.
