Welcoming and comfortable inn

We loved this place. The room was very comfortable with tea and coffee amenities provided inside the room. Right outside is a self-serve area: snacks, fridge with milk & juices. There is a very homey and welcoming feeling. We visited overnight in Sep while passing through the Cotswold area and wished we would have been able to experience it longer or especially in the summer.

Almost perfect!

This beautiful property was perfect for a relaxing night away. Small and cosy with great little touches. Very clean, had everything you need.

We couldn't seem to lock our bedroom door with the key, no matter how hard we tried. It didnt bother us too much as we felt very safe in the property so we didnt bring this up at the time (host very attentive so no doubt they would have fixed), this could however effect solo travellers.

Fabulous room and location

Stunning property inside and out, cosy comfortable stylish room. Perfect location not even a 5 min walk into the town and secure safe parking! Easy no contact check in and check out but very easy to contact the host and they were nothing but friendly throughout our contact!

Relaxing and comfortable, I will recommend 😊

A Beautiful house, I loved the decor, it was very well thought out and executed. There was a welcoming fire burning in the drawing room when I arrived. As I checked in late my key was waiting on the side with my name attached. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. There was a small fridge on the landing with jars of sweets and biscuits on top and cold milk and orange juice inside, good to have real milk with my morning coffee. In the room there was a coffee machine too. A nice touch was a jar of cotton wool pads and cotton buds in the bathroom, Lovely shampoo and liquid soaps etc. to use too.

My only little hitch was when I arrived the instruction was to hold my hand in front of the door pad in order to enter the access code. It did not work like that, luckily there was a young gentleman getting into his car who told me to place my hand on the wall above and slowly slide it down until my palm covered the top half of the pad, this worked! A suggestion is to change the instructions as the sweet cat by the door could not help 😄

The best hotel in the Cotswolds!

Beautiful house, lovely interior design. The location in centre of Bourton-on-the-Water was ideal, the room was clean, comfortable and well suited for us. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! The owner was so friendly, cute little dogs and cats roaming around. Breakfast at The Croft was brilliant too!

Location is the best thing about Halford. Donna is helpful and efficient and the room was comfy, particularly given the age of the building. Nice historic building

Amazing hospitality in a cute old building

Wonderful stay and Donna is truly a caring and accommodating host! It’s a beautiful place with nice facilities located perfectly. Donna provides a guest fridge with beverages and snacks and lots of thoughtful little touches. She will help you meet whatever your needs are!

It was hot when we were there and our small room didn’t have cross ventilation, and the window didn’t open much to allow the cold air in at night. But Donna went to extra effort to keep the hot sun out during the day! And she upgraded us when other guests moved out.

A Wonderful Stay in a Beautiful Guest House

Centrally located in the stunning village of Bourton-on-the-Water, this impressive guest house was a fantastic find. One major bonus was the private parking available on-site—a real plus in this area. The house itself is full of charm and character, with beautifully preserved period features. The rooms are elegantly decorated, offering plenty of storage space and a generously sized bathroom. Donna, the host, is absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble—she was always on hand with a warm smile and great local knowledge, offering helpful tips on places to visit and eat. I have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful property and will definitely be returning!

Friendly, relaxed and super clean. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the room had everything in you need for a relaxed stay, tea and coffee, lovely toiletries, perfectly clean and comfy bed. The location is great and it has easy on site parking.

In the summer months if warm, the top floor room can be a tad too warm. The team provide an aircon unit for the room which is helpful. It’s the nature of the building and can be helped. Would not put me off staying just something to consider.

Lovely property, but pricey for the quality and comes complete with live in pets.

The location is second to none; if you’re staying in Bourton on the Water then you’d struggle to find a better location. An old property that’s very quaint and extremely well preserved, with fab gardens to match. The little touches like drinks and snacks on the landings were a nice touch.

There were (friendly) dogs and cats around the property, had we known this in advance then we wouldn’t have booked (my wife has a cat allergy). The rooms are nice but need small touches to justify the price, even putting a door on the bathroom (some romance can be lost when using the bathroom).
