I would recommend this stay.
We stayed at the barn an it was great, Karin was very kind and made our stay feel like home
It was very private and really enjoyed the silence and gardens

An excellent few days away, in a very warm and welcoming Bed and Breakfast - highly recommend.
The property was very comfortable. Loved that we had access to a private lounge in evenings, very cosy. The host of the B&B was very helpful, and her breakfasts were delicious.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property. However, the village is in a very rural location, which we knew in advance, but it does mean you are reliant on using your car.

Great location but know the terms and conditions
The house is beautiful and kept the original features. The garden is also very pretty. I would say a little over cluttered in the bedrooms with furniture and lots of things on the walls making the room feel small. The garden bedroom was cosy and comfortable and has a great modern bathroom with all the bits you might need if you have forgotten cleaning products.
Despite a cosy bedroom and modern bathroom the towels are very stiff and there wasn’t other towels for hair. Only one for your body. Due to it being an older property the pipes are very noisy when the heating is on or the toilet is flushed. These do wake you in the night and the morning. What was most disappointing was booking the room and then receiving the “terms and conditions” from the host. The house cannot be accessed by guests between the hours of 11-4pm which you only know about after you have paid with no refund. I am paying for a stay and should be able to use the property when I need as I have paid. Not only can you not use or access the property between those hours the host also makes comments about being back later in the evening as she goes to bed. They do not provide you with a key and a key box is not available. Whilst you are away and paying nearly £200 a night I expect to not be restricted or to have comments about what time I may be back after an evening meal and socialising. This made us feel uncomfortable the second night so was home before we wanted too. Breakfast is good, the quality of the jams and fruit from the garden is a nice touch. The cooked dinner is locally sourced and the bread is homemade. But it’s not a very filling breakfast. One of everything (1 sausage, 1 small rasher of bacon, 1 egg) despite not have three items of the breakfast (black pudding, mushrooms or tomato). Although the owner is pleasant the comments about other guests arriving late, comments about not being late, comments about not spilling things on the tablecloth is unwelcome and not particularly inviting. I don’t think the B&B is good value for money at all mainly because you can’t use the property for 5 hours a day and the breakfast was small.

A lovely change from a regular hotel, and hosts Karin and James were a delight. Funny, easy to talk to , very welcoming
A beautiful property in a very idyllic setting. Quiet and cosy and we were very well looked after.
