Great location-Lovely rooms-very busy on a Sunday

Bed and breakfast stay was lovely. Room was beautifully decorated and so quiet for a small hotel. Hotel is closed on a Sunday evening so had to go out elsewhere to get a drink. Can’t comment in the food as we didn’t eat in hotel other than for breakfast, which was very nice, would have liked to have relaxed in hotel by the fire in an evening but there wasn’t enough room so ventured out to the local pubs which were ok but nothing special. Bourton on the water is beautiful and hotel is bang in the middle of it all so perfect location to explore the area. Very very busy on a Sunday!

I expected the local pubs to be more cosy with log fires and sofas but they’re just average and no better than a Wetherspoons. We tried the Kingsbridge and the Willows and the Old Manse.

A gorgeous hotel in a beautiful setting, would definitely return!

This hotel is very beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a garden room which was very comfortable with tea, coffee and biscuits replenished daily if required. The breakfast was delicious and varied.

The only thing I would mention is that our room had a shower over the bath and the bath may be a bit difficult to get in and out of for some people.

Beautiful, cosy hotel

Excellent location in the centre of Bourton. Staff were incredibly attentive and friendly - they are all a credit to the place. There are several bar areas - outdoor ones with open fire pits and heat lamps, and cosy indoor bits with an open fire. Rooms are cosy and functional.

Lack of plug sockets in the room (I realise this is because it is an old building but perhaps add an extension cable near to the bed)

A charming and unique period property with an excellent restaurant.

A charming and characterful property, with friendly helpful staff. Interesting interiors with eclectic decor. Food was very good with excellent service.

Space was rather limited on the ground floor as this is a period property. There were narrow staircases and as our room was in the attic we had four flights to climb. Our bathroom was in need of an update as we had only a bath with a shower attachment.

Booking.com advertised our room as having an “extra large double bed” but it was only a standard double, I would never book a room with just a standard double bed , but when we got there they were fully booked in all their other rooms, poor show Booking.com😡😡

Great short break, bang in the middle of a lovely little town with perfect road links

Carl, went over and above in our opinion, Breakast was plentiful and fresh. Drinks were good, exceptional cocktails too. Car parking was always available which is an absolute plus.

Room was very dark, with no real option to “illuminate” it any better. No shower, but that’s due to the room shape. Also there were no slippers or bathrobes which from experience are normally included for use. Just for peace of mind, nothing else!, a room safe would be nice, however I left my iPad, phone, glasses and car keys in the room when not in use and they were completely safe.

the location of this property is perfect! the decor is lovely defiantly one of the best hotels we have stopped in. I think what makes this hotel amazing is the staff. Karl and Scott couldn’t do enough for us the made our stay perfect. Maria’s cotswolds gardens (cocktail) WOW just amazing and such a lovely girl! i would highly recommend the dual hotel we will definitely be back! Thankyou

We had a lovely stay in bourton but wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

Central location. Staff friendly. Car parking onsite added bonus as town gets very busy. Lovely outside space with tables/chairs. We didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on food/dining experience.

Hotel in general bit tatty around edges (carpets, stair bannisters). Hotel room ok. We were at the top of the hotel so slanted ceilings and 2 very small windows (again a bit tatty in places). The bed was comfortable (way too many cushions which all ended up on the floor). Shower pressure ok but it was in the bath and ceiling too low for shower head to spray water out into the bath so you had to stand directly under taps. No mirror in bedroom (only in bathroom) which made hair drying etc difficult (lucky my electricals had long leads). Found it hard to find staff sometimes and they seemed to shut early which for a hotel and restaurant seemed odd. Overall thought accommodation expensive, guess you pay for central location (not that the town is that big!)

A perfect place to use as your base to explore the Cotswolds.

We stayed in the coach house and the room had a small patio area where you could sit in the sun and enjoy a drink. The actual room was spacious with good decor and a comfortable large double bed. Good size bathroom with a good shower. The main building had a mix of olde world artefacts and contemporary modern furniture and wall designs. The Bowie piece was a big wow.

The location was amazing. Beautiful room and view out the window. Everything to see was walking distance and they also had private parking which was perfect.

The location was perfect; you're within the heart of the village and could not be more central. The building was beautiful and the decoration brought it to life, sympathetic to its age but with modern touches so it didn't feel stale. Everything we had to eat at the hotel was top-notch, with clean, high quality ingredients. Above all, every single member of staff was charming, engaging, professional and extremely helpful, going out of their way to make our stay exceptional.

Cotswolds perfection!

Loved this place! Charming, unique, cozy and very welcoming. Excellent location smack dab in the center of Bourton On The Water. Requested “the book room” and was not disappointed, absolutely perfection. The details and decor throughout the house were spot on and made you want to explore every nook and cranny. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and attentive, always available and willing to help. Breakfast was lovely.

Dinner was pricey and a bit fussy for us. Foodies would love it, we just needed a few simpler meal options. We enjoyed cocktails, but had dinner elsewhere in town.
