Chestnuts B&B

The location was excellent—right next to the beautiful River Windrush and within easy walking distance of all the attractions in Bourton-on-the-Water. A supermarket and the bus stop were just a couple of minutes away, making it very convenient. The caretaker was friendly, welcoming, and did their best to help during our stay. The property was clean and had everything we needed for a short visit.

Unfortunately, our stay coincided with the UK heatwave, and the room became extremely hot and humid. As the B&B is in an older building, there was very little ventilation, with only a small window and almost no airflow. There was no fan available, which made the room very uncomfortable, especially at night. Our daughter struggled to sleep because of the heat, and it was also quite difficult for my wife. While we understand the weather was unusual, having even a simple fan available would have made a significant difference.

I think the breakfast was good. Staff was nice. The location was good but… I feel again like false advertising because the picture they post is at the corner of the street. They are in the back of this building. It certainly was not the picture I saw

The beds were not so comfortable or the pillow. It was a strange set up especially I think for older people. A lot of steps up and down before u get to where ur going. Lots of extra doors.
