The location was fantastic and th Dollar room offered a great view. Size of bedroom, bathroom and breakfast was also gret

Stairs/hallway leading the room are all scratched and dirty. The rooms are just as run down as the stairs/hallway. Massive black marks on the wall. Towels were white but are now grey as they were old, poor quality and rough to dry yourself on. Bath robes i did not touch as they were also dirty looking and rough. Carpets were dirty. Photos showed coffee machine and pods but that wasn't there anymore. Breakfast was below average, sausage was more like a fried hotdog. No salt, pepper or sauces provided.
I don't ever complain, but on this occasion i feel i need to as i paid £230 for this room which was described as luxury. It really isn't, it so run down it resembles the quality you'd imagine in a hostel. Im sure it was luxury 10 years ago, but £230 i paid for 1 night is not justified just for its central location, which was the only positive
I was embarrassed as this was a surprise for a 40th birthday. I was embarrassed as it looked like id got the room cheap. But I paid luxury prices for a run down room with dirty rough towels etc

We stayed in the yen suite which was very small, also a tiny shower and bathroom. Ok for one night. Excellent location and breakfast was lovely, just awkward to eat as no table and chairs like other rooms due to the size.

Beautiful room very big but cosy, clean, comfy beds and great facilities.
Fantastic location and amazing breakfast.
I booked the old bank rooms for one night only for my boyfriend’s birthday. We were so impressed how amazing the room was, everything was just perfect. The breakfast was beautiful! Perfect location! We will definitely be back

We were not told that parking was 2 blocks away and cost 20 pounds per day
Breakfast was delivered to the room while we expected table service in a b&b
Food was fair

This was a really nice place in a great location. It is right off the Square in Burton on the water which is a lively place during the daylight hours, but then is quiet at night. There is a lovely park with ariver running through the middle of town. All the tourist shopping and mailing about along with locals with their dogs. It is really a lovely safe city feel. They bring breakfast to your room in the morning from the fish and chip shop below. The breakfast was excellent! What a great place to stay.

You cant beat the location, but, thats about it. Its not the boutique hotel it represents itself as. The amount of scuff marks on the walls was more like a well used train station or a paediatric waiting room not renovated since the 70s. Two sinks, one plug didnt unplug, the other was missing. No parking and nearest parking is 5 minute walk away, not the 2 minutes the hotel says. That may not seem like a lot, but its not honest to lie like that. Parking costs £20 a day, so factor that in. wifi disconnects you approx eight times a day. Smart TV never connects to internet and so not smart, no netflix or youtube etc. Breakfast was delivered to the room on time and warm each day. So in conclusion, the location is great, but the property upkeep is worse than you would see in a hotel you rent by the hour...

Great location if you can manage tons of stairs, great breakfast. Very cute rooms.

Lovely rooms and location
We had a nice visit to area - however it was sold as a hotel- it not - not advised until late by email how to access facility, no reception desk, parking a 7 min walk in the rain away, not visible from road, no lighting on stairs on exit made it unsafe

Absolutely unbeatable location, right on the beautiful high street opposite the river. The suite was lovely and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and superb breakfast delivered to the room. Room could do with some light maintenance it nothing major. Would definitely stay again.

There's everything you need for a comfortable stay, comfy bed, nice bathroom brilliant service. Breakfast served in your room is unique. There's just a couple of niggles for me, like the shower leaks onto the floor and the curtains could fit better. Staying on the high street does have its noises to contend with especially if the windows are open. Other than that we had a great stay.

Everything was explained and easy to park and get into the property. The room was lovely with everything you needed. I was a little concerned that it was over a fish and chip shop, but couldn’t smell it in the room even though we had the windows open. We stayed in the Dollar room which is on the first floor overlooking the river. Beautiful setting and central to the town. The breakfast was delicious, and arrived at our room on the time I had asked.

No parking very shabby decoration in entrance hall and in rooms shower tray way cracked and blocked and accessibility was poor for someone with poor mobility.

The directions for check in where great. It would have been confusing if there were no communication. Luckily everything was good, so pay attention to the emails.
It was in a great spot, on the street and area where everything was happening, but quiet at night.
Customer service from the owners was great, they were very resonsive, and breakfast was a nice bonus

Very comfortable accommodation though it can be a bit too hot at night and not all the windows can be held open. Good service and breakfast. A very convenient village location but parking within walking distance will cost. One of the phone contact details seems to be incorrectin the information guides.

The picture given for this place is somewhat deceiving. It may have been an old bank at one stage but now it's a chip shop. Hard to find if you're driving down High St looking for a building saying Old Bank Rooms. The sign/entrance is in an alley. You then need to go up back stairs to a lock box to get your key. Our room was clean but very small. Would we stay again... sorry but no.

The room was tiny, had to walk sideways past the end of the bed. I'm 6ft 3 and struggled to move in the shower. Room really needs a freshen up, shower leaked in corner, god knows where that was running to. Breakfast was superb, Staff were really helpful and friendly also

When we first arrived it was a keysafe system so we were able to check in freely which was good, it also provided a code to enter after 9:30pm as they lock the outside door at this time (although we couldnt see said keysafe for the outer door). As we entered we found it to be a beautiful big room with a very comfortable bed (although we did not like the pillows, fluffy appearance but flat once you lay on them). We had the Rupee suite with the 2 person bath - it was overall very clean and stunning! Lovely shower cubicle but of the evening when we went to run the bath it made a horrendously loud rumbling noise and it vibrated all throughout the bathroom and bedroom - we used the shower head attached to fill the bath instead which took a while as you can imagine - we reported this to them which theyve then passed onto their maintenance. The room is above a chip shop so we could certainly feel the heat rising, very toasty but not so nice in summer! The breakfast system was easy to follow and we ordered our breakfast for 8:30-9am and it arrived at 8:25am so very nice - the food was delicious and provides applejuice/orange jucie option, alongside the tea coffee in the room. We thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience but i wouldnt go as far to say it was worth the price for one overnight stay.

The room is advertised as small but a luxury suite. The reality a small what I would describe as an attic space. Moving around the room was difficult because of the small space. The room smelt of dust, was full of coffee stained grimy walls with cracks and scratches everywhere. The window was rotting and the floors in the bathroom not clean. The hotel is situated above a chip shop and smelt of grease. The information book was covered in dust and coffee stains, sticky and dust to touch! The bathroom has a tiny shower cubicle which you would struggle to fit a child in let alone an adult, it was leaking, paint from the ceiling above was flaking off whilst trying to shower. The temperatures went from freezing to scorching whilst under it. The holder was not secure, shower fell hitting me on the head twice and burning my back on the mixer tap. Door had to be left open to turn around in! The breakfast had to be eaten in room, no table or chairs, so balanced on your lap on the bed, no milk for tea/coffee. No fire instructions in room or hall way no escape route on top floor or fire extinguisher. A disgusting dirty room, very uncomfortable and hot. Caution when booking, I have emailed the company seeking compensation awaiting a reply.

Breakfast was wonderful and location is outstanding. Lots of broken things in the room, and no air conditioning during heat waves.

A great location with a lovely view. The rooms could do with a freshen up and a cosier feel.
A lovely touch to have extra water and milk if needed and breakfast delivered to your room. Just a shame check in is so late and check out again is so early.

Room was fine. Did smell ok smoke inside room maybe from outside as windows open due to warm weather.
one tap was wrapped with towel as broken or leaking i guess.
Breakfast options was good and delivered ontime. Think check out is a little early for a weekend night.

Fantastic location, but should have been more transparent in the listing. The location could not be more central. It was right in the middle of the village, and despite no onsite parking, there were convenient options nearby. The Yen suite is comically tiny. Like, really, really tiny. We only really found out when the check in instructions arrived. They could have been transparent from the start, or even marketed the room as the “tiniest suite” and the perception may have been different. The other thing, the room was about 28-30 deg C. at night. Only a small fan, and a window that only opened a crack, and no cross breeze. It was unbearably hot. The room condition was just “okay”. Lots of scuffs and scratches on the walls where people struggled to wedge their suitcase between the wall and bed. The shower was small enough that a “generously proportioned” guest might not fit. The good part: the check in was smooth, the location could NOT BE BETTER, and the breakfast was exceptional.

Whilst the exterior of the building looked lovely, and the location was great, when we got inside it was a different story. We should have known what the room would be like based on the corridors - there were chunks missing out of the walls. When we opened the door to the room it was not what we had booked. We’d booked ‘luxury’ accommodation. Instead we got a dirty room with towels older than me, coffee (I hope!) stains everywhere including up the walls, grimy surfaces and again chunks missing out of the walls. Very very poorly maintained and in no way luxury. We didn’t spend the night here - we found a lovely hotel a 5 minute walk away and had a great time in Bourton. But I would not recommend Old Bank Rooms in a million years.

Easily parked in large car park 5mins away, £20 for 24hrs. We were able to check in early but if couldn’t we would have had to leave luggage in the car as there is nowhere to leave it as it’s an unmanned property. Had one minor issue as my email with the key code didn’t come through, I rang the emergency number on the door and all sorted within a minute, excellent response.
Stayed in Sterling, bed was super comfy, lovely view, all very clean.
Coffee & water is provided in mini fridge and breakfast served in the room ( no condiments with breakfast).
Would stay again 👍

The property listing address was incorrect and we were halfway to the incorrect address before calling up the contact number and going back to where we were coming from!! Bathroom was tiny, not small. View from the room was good and breakfast delivered to room was a welcome luxury. So it was a mixed bag.

Amazing room in middle of very picturesque village, wonderful to enjoy the evening and morning light and river. Very tasty well cooked breakfast, delivered in a very friendly and punctual way, very kind and hard working and caring staff. Great place to stay.

Wonderful view of Bourton-on-the-water from the beef run window, absolutely fantastic bathroom and breakfast was great. Couldn't fault the stay and would definitely recommend to others.

Location and views over the river and Bourton 10/10, good sized suite and a huge bathroom, with rolltop bath and separate shower, twin sinks(stayed in The Euro suite).
Superking bed, very comfortable, fridge in the room, all key facilities provided, check in a simple process.
Breakfast ordered the night before and delivered to your room at the requested time, good selection, good quality.
If you’re being really picky the room could do with some age related wear and tear decorating touching up, deep clean the soft seats and carpet stains.
Overall a good stay in a decent property with incredible views, in an incredible location which is why you pay a premium price.
Just lower your expectations around the decor/finish it’s not the Ritz and doesn’t pretend to be.(Your paying for the location).

The advertising is luxury en suite accommodation. It’s far from luxury. The rooms, halls, carpets are tired. It’s a 3 star hotel.
It’s ok.

Stayed in the Yen room for one night, I thought it might be small, but that's an understatement. The Yen room is tiny - just big enough for the bed and don't get me started on the ensuite. If you can get in the shower, you wont have room to turn around, I have never seen one so compact. Would be better made into a wet room. The radiator wouldn't switch off/down so it was very hot, but at least the window opens. Nice view. Could do with a new paint job to the room, probably because you do have to squeeze around the bed. I believe this was the smallest room and appears to be about the size of the other room's ensuites, so for a more comfortable stay I would recommend a different room. Would I stay here again? Yes, but not this room and only if the radiators can be turned off. Breakfast alright and Yen just about okay for 1 night. Great location. Parking is in a public car park, but fine at this time of year.

Lovely clean room! The room was ready before the time stated which was great. It was a little bit noisy as it's joint in with the chip shop but that doesn’t go on till late.
Amazing how they offer breakfast delivered to your rooms which was incredible.
We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back if we are in the area.
Thank you!

The Hotel was in an excellent location and check in was really easy. The room was extremely small and needed decorating. The heating was on all night and the heat was unbearable. Don’t want to sound too negative as it was a lovely stay. The room just needed updating. A nice little touch were the extra pastries given to us at breakfast as a congratulations for getting engaged so thank you to the owners for that.
