Must do destination.
The breakfast was divine.
We liked not having to worry about parking a car as we trained from London. Public transport buses and country walk from Stowe was the perfect transport.
Just had a little trouble locating the entrance- probably didn't read the instructions clearly enough -we were tired after walking from Stowe and it was dark. But once we found it all was perfect.

Beautiful classy place definitely would go back and stay here
Beautiful room really nice place right in the heart of the village.
Only I would say was that you could hear people talking from the other room .

Great location and beautiful rooms. Breakfast delivered to the door each morning was great.
Great location. Easy check in and check out. Lived the breakfast in bed each morning.
The photos are very professional and do not exactly depict the rooms as they have been loved and used. Not a problem but just not an exact representation.

Not worth the money.
The location was excellent. The only good thing about the property.
Not worth the money. Too expensive for this sort of room. Needs painting and some repairs in the front door. They also say Parking as a faculty but there is no parking.

Great location, loved the large bath, breakfast delivered to your room was great
Location
The view was a roof, I thought the room was facing the river when booking

Great location, but not worth the price.
Loved the location, breakfast that was delivered in the morning was tasty
Black scuff marks all over the walls, stains on the carpet, plumbing issues in the bathroom. Emailed twice to make a complaint with photos attached, no response from the property not even an acknowledgement or apology. Has made us not want to return. Poor customer service.

A lot of money for the money we paid
Location is brilliant
The room is run down, could do with a refurb. The pictures on the website are not like the room I stayed in last night, very tired and needs updating. Had a shower this morning and the drain was blocked, so water was overflowing onto the bathroom floor. The bed was hard and the mattress topper is flat as a pancake, could do with replacing. Breakfast was ok, nothing to shout about. No staff on site, so didn’t have a clue how to get into the room first of all as my email for the code didn’t come through until later as there is no service and the WiFi is poor. For £230 for the night I expected better and we have been to better for less money. Shame as we were really looking forward to our stay because of what we had seen on the website. Also the room are above a fish and chip shop, as it was windy last night the sign outside my room was really creaking and kept on waking me up. Maybe put some WD40 on it to stop the noise. Unfortunately we will not be back unless the rooms are updated and refurbished.

It was good but the bathroom needs improvements.
Really liked the location and the room, breakfast was excellent and the service was great.
Unfortunately the shower didn’t work very well- it didn’t stand up on its own and the water didn’t run very smoothly. We ended up having to hold the shower ourselves which didn’t make for a very relaxing time.

Well Positioned and Comfortable Rooms
Well positioned in town centre.Clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast delivered to room
No onsite parking. Had to unload and load vehicle outside property in narrow street. Had to pay £20 for overnight parking at a car park, which was a 5 minute walk back to property. Owners did advise us that would be the situation.

We had a lovely night away as a family to visit the village, we had a comfortable stay at your property and had a great
In the centre of the lovely village so didn’t haven’t to use our car at all
Room needs a lick of paint and lots of stairs to get to the top floor which was quite difficult with a cot and push chair

Lovely location but room was not comfortable
The view and location were pretty amazing. Lovely breakfast
We stayed in the Yen room. This room was just too small.
We had to leave our luggage in car as there was not enough space. The shower was tiny so not comfortable at all for a taller, larger person.

Worst stay I’ve ever had in the Cotswolds
On arrival, the room was extremely disappointing: the walls had multiple stains and splash marks that had clearly been neglected for a long time, and there was dust on the bedside table which I had to clean myself. The Wi-Fi did not work at all, despite being advertised. The room is certainly not 25 m² as claimed.
The shower was far too small. It can barely fit one person, and even though I am not overweight, I could not bend down properly to wash my legs or feet.

Awesome
One blind was broken.
There was no.plug in bathroom sink and silver ring disappeared down the hole
Instruction on what to do with breakfast dishes would have been helpful
Could have been written iin info folder.
Otherwise it was great

A bit disappointed with the rooms.
The location is perfect. The size of rooms were good. We were on the top floor and it was very quiet. The view from the room was idyllic.
The room is advertised as upmarket however this was not the case. Nothing wrong with the beds or bedding. The towels were chewing gum white. Both rooms are in need of a good lick of paint. Curtain tie back fell out of wall. The bathroom is dirty around the edges of shower. All 3 rooms look tired and they need a good tidy up. Not worth the money that we paid. Room was not like the ones advertised.

Lovely stay .. a little attention to detail and it would have been a 10 out of 10
Very central and lovely room, breakfast on the first day was lovely, the bed was large and very comfortable.
There was a tile lifting in the bathroom, it was near the toilet so an extreme trip hazard, it was an easy fix, also my eggs on the 2nd day were not cooked properly and therefore not edible… no staff so no one to complain to so went without breakfast

I wouldn’t return to this property.
Bed and pillows were comfortable and breakfast was nice.
I stayed at Old Bank Rooms for one night at £260 and unfortunately, it was not worth the cost. While the breakfast in-room was lovely, the location ideal, and the bed very comfortable, the room itself was far from what was advertised. Scuffed, stained walls and grey, overused towels gave the space a dirty, neglected feel. The hair dryer didn’t work, and the ironing board was laughably small – barely enough to press a T-shirt. For the price, I expected far better. I won’t be returning and would urge others to look elsewhere for a cleaner, more comfortable stay.

Amazing yummy breakfast! 😋
Fabulous location & an amazing breakfast in the room with a view of the river! 😊
It could do with a fresh coat of paint and a little TLC. But it did us fine for one night!

Room for improvement in Yen room
Location is very good, check in is easy
Breakfast is excellent
Our room we know it’s small and have stayed there before that’s fine however it is looking very tired. Scuffed walls, bathroom very tired and little things like no storage in the bathroom or anywhere to hang a towel it could be much better thought of to make the most of the small space

Perfect for a hub in the Cotswolds.
A perfect location. The room large, airy & clean.
I was a little sceptical about receiving breakfast to my room, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. Quantity & it was hot!
The soft pillows for me. It would be nice to have a choice of a more firmer pillow & the option for a top sheet for us hot sleepers.
I wasn't aware that we had to pay for parking when booking.

Would not recommend.
The location
It was dirty and the room and bathroom was incredibly small. There were stains on the bedsheets. There were stains and marks all over the curtains, tea tray and walls. We only had one tray to eat our two breakfasts on. Couldn’t even switch rooms as there was no one on site to talk to. I’ve put in a complaint twice and had no response which is disgusting. £170 is certainly a high price for such an awful room.

Beautiful space right by everything
Location is wonderful, right in the middle of the happening part of town. The rooms are beautiful, love the view out the main window. Bathroom was beautiful, nice large shower and great water pressure
Loved that it was so clean and right on the river bed
Could do with a fresh coat of paint. Just a lot of paint chips etc on hall walls etc likely due to people with bags but could easily be touched up. But the place itself was spotless don’t get me wrong. Very clean rooms

Really nice getaway in the centre of the village and easy to get to everywhere we needed.
Really easy to get to and find key etc. everything was explained thoroughly and everything clean. Liked that you could order breakfast to the room! Bath was really spacious and so was the shower. Bed was large and comfortable. Had all amenities you might need like hairdryer coffee teas kettle proper coffee percolator and a fridge with milk! And a fan was very much appreciated!
The plumbing was quite noisy we had to fiddle with the cold tap on the left sink to stop it from making an awful screeching noise. The windows weren’t able to be held up so we had to improvise and it was a really hot weekend. Tv only had freeview.

Won't be back
The breakfast was fine. But the room was so small it was impossible to eat it comfortably. We took it outside.
The room was hot, noisy and uncomfortably small. You could have been more transparent about that. Parking was also a hassle. We had to move our car twice.

Amazing views and tasty breakfast! 🍳
Amazing view and comfy!
Nice to have tasty breakfast delivered however needs 2 more chairs as 4 people staying cannot all sit to eat a hot breakfast. Be good to have a healthier option granola, fruit with yogurt option for breakfast. We shall stay again.
Location noisy in the morning & shame the walls are in such bad nick (need paint and would feel much nice place) there were coffee stains up the walls.

A well appointed suite with double-sized bath and sound mattress.
Full English Breakfast - the fried eggs were missing and the baked beans were slight off. Otherwise good fried breakfast. We requested 2 single beds but got a King-sized instead.
Eggs were missing and beans tasted slightly stale in the Full English B/F.

I think in hindsight I would pay extra for a room with a table and chairs.
The breakfast was good, but awkward to eat in bed.

Over priced, needs major TLC and if there’s an emergency, you won’t get any support!
The location of the property is stunning, and really, you’re paying for the view, which is lovely overlooking the river.
Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience. We paid £230 for a ‘deluxe room’ in a stunning location. I wouldn’t say the room was deluxe or good service. The room could be stunning and evidently when they were first completed, I’m sure they looked lovely. However, there are untold marks on the walls, in the bathroom the paintwork is all chipped around the sinks.
The tray and bedsides tables had water marks and stains to the paint. The right window in our room didn’t stay open, it drops down immediately. We’ve stayed in many similar rooms at the same price point in gorgeous village locations and the rooms have been immaculate, whereas our room certainly looked tired and in need of TLC. I try not to compare but I don’t feel this is true value for money. On top of that, the robes in the room were pretty much grey to look at and threadbare in parts, certainly not deluxe. In the bathroom, there was shampoo and conditioner in the shower stand, however, the stand next to the bath was empty, again, it’s these little touches that will bring it up to the deluxe level. The pipe work at the back of the toilet was also exposed,’again, just needs finishing touches - the bath taps also seemed loose and there were two noticeably stains in the bath.
That said, the biggest concern we had was the people in the room next to us arrived back at their room just before 12:00 a.m. and proceeded to have the most awful and alarming argument. We expected the rooms to be pretty soundproof (thinking it’s an old building) but we could hear word for word - granted they were shouting the place down but even when they were just talking, it was easy to hear. We knew there wouldn’t be people on site which is fine, as an emergency number had been provided. However, when their argument got to such a volume (it was that loud my son could hear them shouting through the phone!) and it sounded like it could become violent (and the shouting had been going on a good hour by this point!

Odd ball but great
Although unstaffed, we had a great experience and we’d recommend Old Bank Rooms to you. We stayed in ‘Euro’ for just one night. Clean, quiet, no smell from the chip shop below. Room great. Breakfast slightly weird (you have to have it in your room) but really nice.
Corridors are totally dark until automatic lights come on. Pre-visit comms just kept coming but we’re very confusing - carelessly prepared and waaayyy tooo looong….

Nice 1 night stay
I booked the Rupee Suite for my boyfriend’s birthday mainly for the huge bath. The instructions to get the keys were easy enough to follow. The size of the rooms were great. Everywhere was nice and clean and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was delivered at the time requested and the lady who delivered it was friendly enough. The location is perfect to have a walk around Bourton village and visit local attractions like Birdland as we did.
It could do with a little bit of TLC and a paint touch up. There were some marks, scuffs and stains in both rooms and in the bath.
3.0 / 10.0
Location is good but it’s NOT luxury and very overpriced.
The location was good right in the middle of the high street but that did mean it was noisy early in the morning due to bin lorries and shop keepers setting up shop, it is right above a chip shop but the smell wasn’t too bad once it closed at 9.30.The room and bathroom were a good size.
The paint was chipping off the walls in the bathroom, Lino on bathroom floor ripped and is a trip hazard, large stain on bathroom blind, shower mat mouldy and shower frame dirty..very overpriced having just come from a 5* spa hotel in bath for a lot less money. This is not luxury! Every thing looks dated and it needs redecorating throughout. We didn’t have breakfast as we didn’t fancy having food that was delivered from who now’s where. The mirror on the bathroom door needs securing properly as it bangs every time you shut the door.. sleep well until we were woken at 6.30 by the bin men

Nice location, not the best value for money in terms of service and amenities.
Nice view, room wasn’t the one in the photo that we thought we’d booked but it was nicely decorated and spacious.
No instructions on breakfast or room cleaning, no notes on how to put the trays out after breakfast (as only room service available) or about how to put a sign out to say if you wanted the room serviced, so our second night we spend with breakfast dishes in the room from the morning before, and the bin full, and no water for the evening. Also the windows don’t open fully, which may be for the best as the noise from outside when it’s busy is quite a lot.

Comfortable, perfect location.
Location was perfect and the view from the room was Devine. Thoroughly enjoyed having an afternoon drink from my room watching the action along the river.
6.0 / 10.0
Excellent location with beautiful views, however the room could do with a deep clean and repair.
Excellent location! Breakfast was lovely and always delivered on time. There was good space and facilities in the room eg iron and board, robes, hairdryer.
The room looked a little tired eg lots of marks/ scuffs/ broken plaster on the walls. The main bed was really uncomfortable with a very firm mattress. The bathroom hadn’t been deep cleaned in a while, there were black dirty marks around the shower tray in the bathroom and no smell of coeaning products when we arrived to indicate it had been recently cleaned. I think for £200/night I would’ve expected a really clean and fresh room.
