Lovely welcoming hotel, Carmel was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were lovely and warm with everything we needed along with fresh milk and a fridge.

There was a little noise from above as we were on the ground floor near the front door.

Amazing! Very friendly staff.

We had the best time here, the staff were fantastic and very accommodating to everyone’s needs. Breakfast had plenty of options including an option to have breakfast in bed, which suited us on one morning as we had a late night. This was delivered to us in a hamper box and we had everything we needed in there.

The early check out time of 10am, 11am would have suited us better, especially as we had a long drive home. However we really could not fault a thing x

Lovely hostesses, fabulously clean and great location

The hostesses were fabulous. Very knowledgeable about the local area, very welcoming and friendly. On arrival, we got a welcome drink and yummy chocolate as it was my partners 30th birthday. The room was very clean, and we were always able to get a parking spot at the property.

All the staff were very polite, helpful and extremely friendly, which enhanced our short stay.

The room was very clean, warm and comfortable, as was the bed. Plus the very welcome addition of a mini fridge in the room for fresh milk. Breakfasts were very good with an amazing varied choice. Fabulous location just a stroll from the centre, plus the added bonus of onsite parking for all guests.

There were no issues that we were not happy with.

Excellent place to stay

Corrine was very welcoming and helpful. Nice to see a cheerful person to greet you. I left my watch in the bedroom by mistake and very efficiently corrine and staff came across it and posted it back to me. Excellent service. Thanks to all the team. Highly recommend this place.

Bijou stay - nice facilities - great location - very helpful staff.

Location - friendly staff - nice breakfast and little fridge in room with fresh milk and nice biscuits. Pub next door (Mousetrap) did excellent dinner. They also let us check in a bit early. Offered us a lift to local tour we’d got booked. Excellent customer service.

Would have hit up earlier if known the hot water would run out. We both had to have an almost Luke warm (colder than that) shower which ad it was warn was okay. Would not okay in winter.

A bit frustrating but not unpleasant!

As I have lost count of the emails (from different sources) I have received asking me to review my stay to the point it has irritated me, here is my review. This property is excellently located a short walk into the main area of Bourton. I would say the room was adequate for a short stay, but was very small when you consider that prices are usually equated to square footage. Despite me visiting during term-time Bourton was exceptionally crowded with visitors (of which I was one!) which a little spoilt my enjoyment of the area (I have very different memories of visiting Bourton in the past). The bed and pillows were comfortable (and these are usually a deal breaker for most travellers), and the breakfast perfectly fine, with a good choice offered. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would I stay there again? Yes if location was important, no if I was going by the size of the room. I should add here that parking was impossible in and around Bourton at the time of my visit, so if you are looking to park in a public space get there early!

The location was very convenient and made it easy to get around. Amenities were decent and the breakfast was very nice.

The mattress was too soft and already had a dent in the middle, which made it uncomfortable to sleep on. Would be so much more convenient if there was closet to store clothes or belongings.

Excellent guest house

The guest house was exceptionally clean, our room had everything you need. Mini fridge with complimentary beers and fizzy pop, crisps, biscuits and bottled water. The staff were very friendly and polite, breakfast was tasty and a large choice and the guest house has its own parking. It is situated ideally 5 minutes walk into the centre of Bourton and couldn't be more convenient. A great place to stay.

All the Staff were extremely pleasant and efficient. The room was very nice and comfortable and the en-suite was excellent too... very clean with lovely soap products. The morning breakfast was first class and delicious. We loved our stay. Thanks you.

A lack of plug sockets near the bed for phone charging overnight. The room only had one accessible double plug which my wife and I both used for our phones overnight.. this meant we weren't able to also use the supplied fan in the room to keep us cool during the warm summer night.

Any other time it would have been perfect

The place is perfectly situated away from most of the busy areas, but within walking distance to everything. The room was spacious and clean. They also provided snacks and milk in the small mini fridge. Breakfast was delicious. Parking is available, but it can be a hassle depending on the time of arrival. We didn't have any issues, as we stayed in town most of the time.

Unfortunately, we were there during a heatwave. They do not have air conditioning. Which I am sure is not normally needed. They did provide us with a fan, but it was a heat wave with high humidity, making it terrible to sleep in. We also had trouble in our room with the internet constantly connecting and then disconnecting. The staff were very helpful, trying to provide us with different solutions. I would recommend this place to stay to any friend and family.

Overrated breakfast not according to expectations..

A well driven family boutique hotel. Nice private parking was a plus. Close to the city center of Bourton on the Water with some choices of restaurants, bars, shops and sightseeing. The room was nicly decorated and bright colors. A very welcoming host.

Breakfast overrated. Not good, where the ham slices was too thich and hard, not according to expectations. The room was located to the road with some light ttrafic during the night. No aircondition, only a fan.

A delightful stay at Cotswold !!

It was absolutely lovely ! The staff is very attentive and helpful ( she even carried by luggage to the room). The breakfast is scrumptious and delightful. The location is perfect to walk around Bourton on the Water and nearby Cotswold villages. The room (single) was clean and tidy and exactly as the pictures or rather even better. Highly recommend this B&B for a Cotswold gateway!
