Relaxing getaway with fantastic facilities

We were welcomed politely and professionally on arrival and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the facilities were perfect for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed use of the swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room and although didn't get round to using the gym this time, saw that it was very well equipped and will be using it next time. There was an excellent variety for breakfast, friendly staff and the location of the hotel was great too, just round the corner from restaurants and entertainment, as well as being close to Cambridge. We will stay here again!

Highly recommended, perfect stay

The facilities were fully accessible, not time restricted. Clean throughout and the staff were so helpful and friendly, they went above and beyond, and even bought along to our room a fruit buffet for my partners birthday, and extra coffee and milk.

The location is suitable if you dont mind driving from there into town. We didnt mind, but for some, it may be an issue with location as not walkable really unless u want to walk 1.7 miles into town.

Have stayed here before, but the food is terrible value.

Like any person who uses a hotel for business, often you arrive tired and just want to refresh and get some food. Whilst I have no issue with the quality of the food at all, it is ridiculously expensive for its basic presentation, and tiny portions. One person with no alcohol, a bottle of sparkling water, a starter salad and a steak was nearly £70!!! That is shocking. And to be honest I've been 'caught' many times before with this as a fairly frequent guest with bad value food, but the hotel location isn't central to be able to take a walk to a neary restaurant.

Mixed experience, room very good, pleased with facilities but food & dining experience let it down

Breakfast was good, lunch my kids had steaks and chips which were good, but eating later in the dining room, food was a bit disappointing and expensive, and the room was freezing!

Need to improve restaurant and menu facilities. Bar and Restaurant Menu are identical - what's the point in going into the restaurant? And do something about the environment, it was sooo cold, food was cold within 2 mouthfuls.

Excellent hotel with outstanding customer service.

Overall experience was excellent. The reception team was efficient, professional and courteous, Lounge and dinning services were equally praiseworthy. All additional requests when booking were met on arrival which underlines the professional approach. Good location for local business visits and spacious and secure parking facility.

The pool facilities needed a bit of an upgrade - showers were a bit grotty. In our shower in our room (110) the seal on the shower screen was broken so the floor flooded.

Lovely room, fantastic breakfast

Very comfortable room, great beds. Fantastic breakfast. Decorated very eligantly with wide, grand corridors. Pool and spa areas very clean with beautiful lighting. Great jacuzzi and nice pool size.

There were dirty dishes outside of our room when we arrived and we found a random chicken bone under the chair in our room. There was only decaf coffee, as the regular coffee sachets hadn't been restocked and the conditioner in the bathroom was also empty. The hairdryer was hard to find and we didn't find it until we were leaving. Members also use the spa/pool. We were made to feel very un-welcomed by one.

A fortunate find in an area that we stay regularly but this is the best we have found and good value

The room was wonderful. Large, new, clean. Well provided for in every way. Suitable for an even longer stay. Breakfast was one of the best for this kind of hotel. Parking was free and easy. The lounge dining area was so relaxing and quiet. Nothing to dislike in this area.
