Great hotel clise to Cambridge and Stansted airport, we really recommend it.

The hotel is really nice. Our room was bigger than in other hotels and the bed was very huge and comfortable, we had a very good sleep there. Also, there was an extra electric heater in case we were cold. The breakfast was also very tasty.

We found some rubbish by the window next to the sofa but otherwise we loved our stay there.

Disappointed as had potential

Bed was very comfy. Staff lovely.

Specifically asked (and booked the picture room) for a room with a desk as was working, and paid for late checkout to allow this. No desk in room - at most could be described as a shelf stuck on the wall, not even deep enough to sit an a4 folder on. Not as per request or pictures of specific room booked. Bathroom dirty - bin filled with used nappies from previous clients which stank the room out. Red droplets on floor. Hair in shower. Hand soap and body wash empty, so washed hands with shampoo. Evening meal (marg pizza) - cost £15 but was equivalent to Iceland oven pizza. Breakfast - no cooked vegetarian meat alternative option.eggs (cold), hashbrowns (cold) and toast.

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff.

Hotel entrance. Not met by a smiling face (that was hidden round the corner) but rather by two 'terminals' inviting automatic checking in. Very modern day but not what I would call welcoming.

Its a great place to stay

It was really a surprise, a huge room with a king size bed and a sofa in the room. Close to the town center. The bed was comfortable, plenty of room.

There is an extra charge for parking your car, Not sure if it is mentioned. I booked this just an hour before we arrived and I may have overlooked that fact.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

We had accidentally booked a twin room. On arrival we asked if it was possible to swap to a double and they managed to accommodate our request without any issues. Additionally, there was an issue with getting the TV to work. We asked about it and someone was sent to assist straight away. It was a tripped fuse and they fixed it very quickly. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful!

Not really any issues. The pool is still out of use which is a shame but that didn't really impact our stay. Free parking would have been good rather than having to pay for the hotel car park

Great overnight stay

We stayed for one night while travelling from Scotland to Norwich and found the hotel very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the beds were comfortable, giving us a good night’s sleep. We did not have supper at the hotel, but we were recommended a nearby pub, which worked well for us. Breakfast the next morning was good. We were also able to have rooms next to each other, which we really appreciated. There was a small fee for overnight parking. Overall, it was a pleasant and straightforward stop on our journey.

convenient location, fine for a night or two

The bed was comfortable and it was close to the motorway so it was easy for us to get around. If we had needed to do any bits of shopping there was a Tesco right next door. Check in was all by computer so you didn’t need to wait around for staff.

It felt like this place was designed by people who had never stayed in hotels before. I’m a bath person not a shower person and it was a pain to have to get up and down to get the shampoo and body wash which was attached to the wall at a height for someone using the shower. There were no plug sockets next to the bed so you had to get up and cross the room to turn your alarm off which was a pain. When we arrived the bath still had some hairs in and the drain was grimey which wasn’t nice. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and both mornings were woken up at around 7.45/8am by a cleaner so loud that it felt like she was in the room with us.

Gem for your money in Cambridge

I had stayed at this property twice before in the last 20 years but this time the room and the restaurant were freshly equipped and my experience was so much better than I expected. This was due to the excellent price, friendly staff booking on and tasty breakfast. I had been in a different hotel the previous 2 days, that cost much more but thi was much better in appearance, quality and value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff were lovely and very helpful with us arriving late ensuring we could get some food from the hotel restaurant.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. The only improvement I would recommend is blind covering all windows as the side panels of glass provide no privacy.

Great when working away from home

Good sized rooms with comfortable beds. Great breakfast and all staff are friendly and welcoming. Car park payment machine is easy to use and allows you to choose an exit time.

In rooms that face close to the hotel entrance you can smell cigarettes when guests smoke even when the window is shut. Some rooms are a little worn but there are renovations going on (it doesn't disturb you though).

Slow check in, not even acknowledged by receptionist on very long phone call, not very clear parking instructions in car park. Worse negative was small double bed with one side against the wall so nowhere to put water, glasses etc and room was large enough for bed to not be by the wall.
