Perfect, relaxing, quiet and comfortable

Staff were lovely and welcoming. The property was calm, relaxed, I managed to sleep well as comfortable and cool. I’ve tried several places and this is by far the first place I could relax and will be staying there again.

The room had what we needed and as we only slept there, it was ok.

The beds were comfortable.

I feel the cleanliness of the toilet could have been better aswell as the surfaces in the bedroom. The bedroom was set up as a double (we weren't asked if we wanted a twin). As our bedroom was off the main hall, it was very noisy at times.

Great place to stay with good conversation and breakfast. Why would you stay anywhere else!

The location was within walking distance of The Cock pub and restaurant for dinner. The breakfast that Stewart cooked, pre-ordered the night before, was excellent and set me up nicely for the day.

Would have welcomed a tour of where switches were for the extract, towel rail, etc. but I worked it out. Would also have liked a light above the mirror in the bathroom for shaving!

Great, spacious area, good value and really welcoming hosts

Lovely welcome. Great, private space with cooking facilities, all the crockery etc you would need for a short stay. Lovely large bedroom with a big Kingsize bed which was very comfortable. Unexpected offer of breakfast at a very reasonable rate. Short walk to a very good pub and only a couple of miles to St Ives, Cambs, where we decided to meander around on our second day.

A clean, shiny and spacious property with lots of windows and light. The kitchen, dining, living space, looking out over the garden, was delightful and there were tables and chairs on the patio to enjoy a coffee in the sun had we wished to.

Excellent stay

Hosts Stewart and Nicki were very pleasant hosts. The accommodation was very spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very tasty and we will certainly be back.

Location and it was close to the river walks. The room was comfortable and we were able to make a drink and some light breakfast ..

Friendly, clean and a wonderful stay.

I had a wonderful stay. They were very helpful by giving me a recommendation on where to eat and the breakfast was excellent. I would stay again.

No everything was great. My only suggestion (don't have too) but maybe offer some touches for anyone who is walking to the local pub at night. There weren't many street lights around the area and a touch would of been helpful (something brighter than your phone).

Two nights in a quintessential English village.

Thorpe Guesthouse is in a small village in a perfect location for exploring the local are by foot, further if you have a car, Excellent local pub and a worthwhile village walk. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable and happy to offer suggestions to make the most of my stay, short as it was.

location, super friendly welcome and really delicious fresh breakfast

no complaints, it was a late decision to stay overnight rather than drive home after the dinner we were attending and I’m so glad we decided to turn it into more of an adventure
