If you are wanting a central, clean and welcoming base for a few days in Ostend I would highly recommend Hotel du Parc.

Loved the traditional feel of this hotel in a superb central location close to the sea. Well appointed clean rooms and helpful and welcoming staff. I thought the drinking water in the foyer was a nice touch. A very decent continental breakfast was served in the adjoining Cafe du Parc.

Apart from a couple of stools in reception there is no lounge area. The lift was often busy. Finally we had asked the hotel to reserve us a table for dinner at Cafe du Parc on the first evening. Although the hotel advised they had passed on our request the restaurant had no record of our reservation which was disappointing. They did however manage to find us a table.

Toilet not properly separated from room and next to the bed, very strong burnt coffee smell in the room on the 6th floor as of 7 in the morning so air circulates directly between kitchen and rioms upstairs

Last moment reservation in Oostende

Very good position close to the sea, reception 24h open and the check-in worked very well. It's worth the price despite the reservation at the very last moment

no airco or fan on very hot day. window only opened a bit and backed onto casino road so very noisy at night if open. Staff and bistro customers smoked right outside entrance so hotel stunk of smoke

Lucky to find accommodation close to beach !

Nice staff, a possibility to leave the room key in the reception. A small bottle of water in the room. And excellent location. Even a side sea view ( partial from the window).

Very - very basic. The single room was efficient but extremely hot. It was impossible to ventilate it neither and no ventilator is provided. It could be added. No coffee maker, no fridge, anything extra. The whole building needs renovation.

Perfect location.

The building (although very interesting), its interior, and its facilities are old and very worn. The hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. Rooms are small. Breakfast is only average, it's the same offer every day. Hygiene is questionable. The splendid location comes with a lot of street noise. On the other hand, this is probably the cheapest place in town.

Pleasant hotel in a somewhat old-fashioned style (which I like), but well kept in all respects. Good, varied buffet breakfast served in a spacious breakfast room.

The bathroom was very small indeed. Could be challenge for people even moderately bigger than the average.

A weekend in Belgium is always good

All very good, value for money , once parked you can use the tram ,main stop right outside the hotel If it is of any use you can fit a VW Transporter with roof bars in the under ground car park, for 25 euros for 24 hours as you approach it looks like it will not fit but there is plenty of room.

My kids and I had a great stay here and I’d book again.

Great location to the beach and cafes. We enjoyed a meal in the Brasserie which has interesting decor. The breakfast has everything you want. I never normally take the scrambled eggs in hotels but this was delicious! The staff are polite, helpful and friendly.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The fact that it's a per friendly hotel.

To much noise and the fact that we had to leave the windows open because there is no air-conditioning. The toilet wasn't that easy to use due to it's location too near the walls. There was supoosed to be a parking but when I asked the person told me that my car could stay at the casino's parking, had to pay 25 euro for that.
