Clean, warm and friendly
The fact I had to travel to get breakfast from a sister hotel although, to be fair, the breakfast was very good

The food was amazing and good value for money, nice beers on tap, very friendly and hard working staff, the room was serviced every day which is unusual nowadays. The location was great giving access to the fells of Lakeland whilst close enough to the sea, Drigg beach was only 7 miles away, Wast Water about 5 miles. The shower was great, high pressure and hot.
The bed was very comfy but a little too soft for my liking.

Great location for what we needed. The bar area was fantastic.
The manager or bar man, whatever his position was, was very rude and unprofessional. Clearly in the wrong profession. His attitude did absolutely not suit the hospitality industry.
