The comfy bed , evening meal was lovely
Twin room not available on arrival , offered family room , 1 adult had to sleep in a bunk bed , not appropriate . However had a good nights sleep ,
Down for breakfast waitress hadn’t turned in , sat a while , the chef made us coffee , and took our order , missed out on cereal , orange juice and toast .

Friendly nice and warm a really shelter from the storm
Not too hot on dogs around tables whilst people are eating but small in comparison

Good location with nice walks in the area. Very handy having a pub downstairs.
The room was very dated and felt grubby. The bathroom didn’t feel clean at all. The bed was spongy.
It was very over priced for what we got. We paid the same price for a room in Pooley Bridge the day after and the rooms were worlds apart.

Good breakfast, nice bar & friendly staff
Bathroom in the bedroom needed a deeper look up at the fan and around taps, shower area

Location. Good atmosphere, nice food.
It could have been a lot cleaner upstairs and in the rooms.

Location was perfect for Wainwright bagging in the North Western Lakes. Inn was cosy and welcoming, staff pleasant.
Room was too hot. Windows in poor state of repair and didn’t close. Not a problem since the room was so hot but otherwise it would’ve been. The materials used for the tables in the bar wasn’t authentic, better layout would make it more cosy, only one open fire. Breakfast a little under cooked and lacked flavour. Restaurant menu a bit limited and basic.

Characterful building. Breakfast was good. Nice bathroom. Lots of free parking.
Room was quite small and directly above the bar so we heard voices until 11 pm. Quiet overnight. Hospitality tray bit basic.

The room was large and comfortable with dogs allowed. The bar and lounge were very comfortable and homely with a good menu. Both evening meal and breakfast were good value and tasty. All members of the team we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Great value, no additional dog fees. Easy parking and access. Clean and comfortable. Very handy for Wasdale and surrounding fells.
There didn’t seem to be any hot water, so I couldn’t have a shower.

Charming little find, staff were friendly and good was good even if slightly on the expensive side.
Only slight issue was breakfast was not being served and you had to go to the nearby sister hotel if you wanted this.

Very cosy traditional pub. Perfect location for hikes around scafell. Stunning pub and amazing food. Room was very traditional but cosy.

The breakfast was excellent. Good choices available.
The room was creaky with minimal noise insulation with the corridor outside. A tired pub room. The evening bar menu looked enticing but was very disappointing.

The decor was nice and pretty location next to the river
Website said food served til 9pm but got a call on the day to say last orders 8pm which put my travel under pressure, I ordered food, they said it would be a wait which is fine but my main came out whilst I was still eating my starter, the order was wrong anyway, when it came back out my burger was cold and pink in the middle so it went back again and came out wrong a 3rd time so I was partially refunded, I was too tired at that point after a six hour drive so went to bed. My room was subjected to alot of noise, banging and crashing from above

Couldn’t fault dinner on Friday evening. Food was very good and service was good. On Saturday evening we had to wait a long time as the restaurant and bar was very busy. There was not enough staff to cope with demand.
Breakfast was excellent on both Saturday and Sunday mornings
The fact that there was no additional staff as the staff were obviously struggling and visibly stressed

Love staying here, extremely friendly feel to the hotel, bar and restaurant. Restaurant menu has an excellent choice without it being overwhelming with options, also the bar has excellent choices in beers and ales.
Nothing to dislike about the Bridge Inn.

Very good breakfast that was included in the price.
The rooms were tired and in need of updating and a deep clean.
In one room the shower was tiny and had mould and the other room had a bath with a big chip in it and mould

Dog friendly, good breakfast and geared up for hikers. It’s a relaxed pub feel. Breakfast staff were really friendly. Lots of screens in the bar for sport and general TV.
The rooms can only be described as grim. Ok if you just want a place to shower and sleep but I wouldn’t stay here until rooms have some money spent.

The bed was comfortable
Lack of breakfast, poor tv no remote, dirty shower, lack of staff, dangerously close to busy road when stepping out

The only thing to like was the bed and pillows were very comfortable
Shocking service very rude man waiting in restaurant food was totally appalling
Bar man on Sunday evening very pleasant and had to put up with so much

Location is great
Restaurant service for evening meal and breakfast rather slow. Bacon, black pudding and hash brown really overcooked. Hand cut chips with evening meal were hard and inedible as if they had been left heating up rather than freshly cooked

Nothing
Photos look as though they were taken years ago as the rooms and buildings were very shabby.

Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. Very pretty place. Staff in the bar and kitchen were nice and an adorable man that cares for some cats that live around back in the car park. A very nice environment.
Be careful if you have to follow a gluten-free diet. Obviously having to follow this restriction is not a choice and I am fully aware how awkward this is.
The menu said GF pizza on request. I messaged a week before and my request was acknowledged.
But, I was told there wasn't going to be any pizzas and of course the chips are GF as they are just potatoes!!!!..
Just be mindful that the food we request when not actually be available.
This did ruin my evening.

An excellent room - I was alone and am slightly less mobile (walk with at least one stick, sometimes two) and had been allocated a groundfloor room with a wonderful wet room - could not have been better! The room was quiet at the back of the building.
As an older lady walking with a stick it was a little disconcerting to have to request assistance with my case on a relatively long walk through the hotel to my room. My request for assistance was immediately given but I felt it would have been nice for it to be offered as a matter of course.

The breakfast was good & morning staff (one guy we saw) was great- Monday 8th morning. Good shower & room size. Comfy bed- great to have king size. Clean bedding & good towels.
Cleanliness of room- drinking glasses clearly not washed. Tomato ketchup (I hope...!?) splatter on wall beside bed. Mould in shower. Horrendous fish & chips. Worst we've ever had! Over 2/3s of "chips" (hard pre-packaged fries actually, definitely not made in house anymore as old pics suggest) like little sticks. Fish over fried & greasy- pics attached. We gave a bit to our dog & she even turned her nose up too! Outside area by parking disgusting. This wouldn't pass an EHO visit. Multiple cats coming & going by kitchen open door. Manager on bar Sunday 7th night- such cold service! No one ever said Welcome or Enjoy your stay! Basic hospitality warms absolutely lacking. Can't recommend at all. To add insult to injury I'd have liked to tell them this personally but no one was working apart from the cleaners (who were lovely & friendly). So no front of house staff or any management on (10:30am Monday) What on earth??!! Just so so disappointing & massively misleading from pictures & website.

The bed and linen were very comfortable. Nice to have refreshment facilities on the room.
I had to move from the first room I was given as the sink nor shower drained away. I had to wash the shower as there was hair and dirt left from lack of proper cleaning.
The hotel was lacking on proper levels of staff. One man manning the bar and reception, then later when it was getting busy in the bar, only 1 person was tending. The food was big portions but the gravy was really salty.
To top that, I was on a time schedule the next morning so was down for breakfast for 8am , their starting time, but there was no chef. The young woman was very apologetic….the chef rocked up at 8.20am without I hint of an apology. When it arrived, the breakfast was amazing….the highlight of my one night stay. It’s just a shame I had to rush it!

Fabulous location, lovely staff (Humphrey was great, as was Simon from the kitchen and a number of the girls) and a low price compared to other options.
Not enough staff so queues at the bar and quite a wait for food at busy moments. Food adequate but not gourmet. We stayed for a week without a change of towels or bedding. Packed lunches didn’t turn up on 2 days. The first day we waited for them to be done, the 2nd time we just went to a shop.

Food was good, especially the breakfast, which was one of the best that I have had in a hotel. The room double was clean and comfortable. The single rooms were a bit smaller than we expected, but they were comfortable.
Service at the bar was a bit slow and not very personable at times due to how busy they were. It sometimes felt like they could have done with an extra team member.

Very dog friendly. Gave my dog a sausage on occasion when I had breakfast and were accommodating in storing my raw food.
Staff were overall friendly and did anything they could to help you have a comfortable stay.
Rooms quite small and cramped

very modern pub fantastic location to climb scafell pike staff were friendly but seemed like they couldn't cope with the demand of people it was busy food was gorgeous rooms are very standard and old fashioned but for one night it served purpose and I would stay again it was good value for money
not enough staff for breakfast in the morning 1 server im guessing 1 chef and it took nearly 1 hour to get breakfast so made us set off a little later than planned

Blind in bathroom window only came half way down so no privacy. Windows very tired and need replacing.

As detailed previously
Slow service at bar, one person serving at busy times doesn’t cut it!
When I got back to my table after waiting half an hour to get served my existing drinks had been removed by staff. Admittedly they bought me a new drink but this shouldn’t have happened!

Great location and pleasant staff. Spacious and comfy rooms.
Staff seemed overworked even though they were very pleasant and got things done.
Can hear lots of noise from corridors when in our rooms
