Friendly and helpful staff, amazing atmosphere, food soo good we still remember it! Absolutely fabulous place to stay, highly recommended!

Great breakfast Good-sized room (quieter room at the back with fell views - room 2) - with space for our dog, too. Proper openable windows Good shower Very friendly staff Dog-friendly: Very accommodating of our dog Nice pub with good food in the evenings

- Very strong "air-freshener" in hall outside room made me sneeze / have allergic reaction. - Leak in bathroom behind sink left a puddle on bathroom floor (hopefully fixed soon) - One bedside lamp couldn't reach a socket to plug it in - extension cord needed (or new socket point). - Carpet on stairs & hallway up to rooms could do with cleaning or replacement - Bedding provided was pretty thick for summer, too hot to sleep under. I used a sarong & chenille throw that I'd brought to sleep under instead. A flat sheet and blanket might be better than a duvet (I often get too hot when sleeping, yet need to be fully covered, hence my bringing my own alternatives if needed) - Not a "dislike", more for information as it's about the physical location: this Inn is on the main coast road. Whilst the traffic isn't too busy, when it comes, it's pretty fast, so noisy. If you're easily disturbed by traffic noise, I'd recommend bringing earplugs. This is clearly a busy working pub, so is a little "rough around the edges", but overall was a great friendly stay.
