The Mansion

The property had wonderful views, Ian & Nav were very attentive, you were left to your own devices but they were around should you need assistance. Pool was lovely, kids really enjoyed it, The room we were provided was huge - almost like a self contained 2 bedroom flat. Breakfast was on a pre order system, for the duration of your stay, but if you wanted to change it then you could leave your change of menu on the honesty bar.

There wasn’t bits that I didn’t like - but I would change. Firstly the beds were tiny, my guess is they are small doubles rather than standard doubles. You could get a king size bed in one of the rooms The room size we had a nice little kitchenette would have been ideal.

Plent of parking on site, our room was a sea view and had a good view across Whitehaven. The room was large with a double bed, sofa, clothes hanging space, TV, coffee and tea, hairdryer and ensuite bathroom. There was an honesty bar in the guest house and found it easy to amend breakfast requests. Breakfast was served fresh and quickly. Good options for breakfast and had plenty or hot and cold food available. Was able to order take out to the room and use items from their kitchen. Was a real home from home experience. Swimming pool was great. Had it to ourselves. This is an indoor pool and available from 3pm to 8pm. Perfect base to visit the lake district and also Scotland which we did. We will be looking at booking again and this time for longer. Thank you to the hosts.

It was okay

Not worth the money. We told them on day one we weren’t staying for 3 nights. No mention of a charge to use the EV charger. When we checked out we were charged £20 for not staying for 3 nights! (Saying this charge was from booking.com) We won’t stay again and won’t recommend it. Overpriced for room and location
