Fabulous location and hotel. Good value for money.

Hotel lovely. Staff all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and tastey. Attached bar also excellent service, choice of draught beers and food delicious. Plentiful pillows in the room

Bed was too soft for us and a little wobbly but you cant please everyone 😊 and it didn't spoil the stay.

Seaside treat

Very good breakfast. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The location was magnificent. The food at dinner was very good and a good selection.

Saturday night..weekend away and over £200 for a meal and being asked the leave the bar at 9.30 because "if there's less than 5 people in the bar they close" That's ok for a regulars pub but this is a hotel and people pay good money to stay there and have their holiday... theres nothing else local so be be sent to our room at 9.30 in a Saturday is a joke. You want more people in?... put an act on .put music on.. make it worth coming to. Food ... its ok. Not worth the price (breakfast good but evening meal not worth it) Order at the bar? Starter to main no cutlery replaced unless asked to, meals arrive for part of the party and 20 minutes later the other meals arrive. They should all arrive together!! Young waitress didn't smile once Room...dogs poo on the patio outside our room, guests before us left their review Sheet on the dressing table and it wasnt moved... if this wasn't changed what else is left unchanged? We've stayed here 7 times this year and this was the worst room..bed was broken, mould in the bathroom, there was a dirty disgusting rotten patio chair outside the room.

Relaxing Break

The hotel is clean and very welcoming and in the most perfect location with stunning views with plenty of parking. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating, nothing was too much bother. We had a lovely meal in the evening which was freshly cooked to order and tasted delightful. Breakfast was delicious also.

Had a very pleasant stay,.

Loved the location, right on the beach front. The size of our room was really spacious with a big bathroom, perfect for what we wanted especially since we had the dog with us. I also liked the fact that we were on ground level, so it was easy to walk out with the dog. The bar area was a lovely sized room too.

Mattress on the bed was too soft and the pillows have seen better days!!

Fantastic location, staff super friendly, the room we stayed in had been recently refurbished. Food choice was good for both evening meal and breakfast.

The hotel is a bit tired in places although spotlessly clean. We stayed in a newly refurbished room which was huge but felt unfinished in some areas and the furniture and fittings seemed cheap Little things like having to go downstairs to get a hairdryer and then no mirror near a socket so I could see to dry and style my hair. Radiator in bathroom was rusty. Food service was very slow at dinner.

Rooms were very good, neat and clean. Catered to our special request. Staff is very co-operative.

There was the marriage function, which created some noise late night. There were 10-15 of the marriage attendees blocking the enterance and smoking at any given point of time, . There were 2 cars parked near the enterance, which made me difficult for dropping up my disable mother and luggage at the enterance, and have to bring them from the parking area. WIth the exception of the above incidences, stay was very good.

4th time of staying here, great experience every time

The rooms are clean and spacious. There's a fairly decent bathroom and we had a sea view. I've stopped here 4 times now and only ever stayed in 2 different rooms, so can't say what they are all like, but the one's I've had are decent. The restaurant serves really decent food. Breakfast is decent too.

We got locked out of our room and we couldn't get in despite having 2 keys none of them worked. I rang the number it said on the desk and nobody answered! We had to leave the hotel and go back home because we had nowhere to stay. So we didn't even get to stay in the hotel.

Miserable Matratzen Auf Beschwerde sollte per Email eingegangen werden, stattdessen nur ‚hope you enjoyed your stay‘. Meine Antwort darauf: Die Fotos zeigen den einen Hund beim Gassi in der Nacht auf unserer Terrasse. Dear All, No. We had not. It was horrible as I told you at the check out. I left our Emailadress, but I did not get a response. The parents‘ bed was not good. Our neighbour smoked day and Night something smelling awfully - and last but not least he let his beautiful Sheppard dog without lead on the terrace. At 11 p.m. someone let his small dog on the terrace for the Good Night walk. In my opinion our terrace is not a dog toilet. In consequence we all were awake again because also our dogs noticed the dogs walking and peeing and poohing around. At 7 a.m. the laundry started - great to be be woken up by laundry Noise and smelling on Sunday morning. We already told you during the check out - and now you write you hope we enjoyed our stay. No, we did not do. You are laughing about your guests! Regards

A surprisingly good hotel!

The hotel is in a wonderful location, right on the beach. The staff were so kind and helpful to us during our stay. The room was clean and spacious. Our highlight was in the restaurant. The meals here were really nicely done, using quality ingredients. Breakfast was really good too. Compliments to the Chef! I'm sure we'll come back and stay again some time. We were a big group of motorcyclists. A perfect stop over while travelling around the lakes. The Bikes were all parked in the courtyard out of view from the main carpark.

Really enjoyed our stay at St Bees

Location fantastic. Had breakfast at a nearby cafe which was excellent.

Room was very clean and had a walk in shower which I requested. The only drawback was the sloping ceiling where you had to be very careful not to bump your head especially in the night.

We paid extra for a refurbished room. The refurbishment was not very good, a lot of detail has been missed including a rusty old radiator in the bathroom, no bin in there either and a really badly fitting door into the room that led to a lot of light pollution from the corridor

Fantastic hotel

I've stayed here a fair few times now and every time has been great. Team are always friendly and helpful, the rooms are a good size and clean, the bar/restaurant is great, food is amazing and reasonably priced. Beautiful view of the beach and sea from my room this time.
