Our hosts were very hospitable and helful. They were really nice people. Breakfast was lovely and on demand. We got good walking and hiking tips. The fells are accessible, Crummock lake is at an easy walking distance, there are lovely inns nearby. It's highly recommended. Love to go again.

What a fantastic find , The setting of the property was idyllic with stunning views.
The hostess Jan and Leslie were lovely and have thought of everything, and always very helpful with local knowledge and walks. The cooked breakfast was amazing the best we had ever had, and it includes Jan 😋 homemade marmalade and jams.
The view from the bedroom was beautiful looking over the gardens towards the mountains , and the bed was really comfy.Keep up your excellent work and look forward to visiting again.☺️👍.
We were lucky enough to see red squirel in the garden and a spotted woodpecker ,plenty of Birdlife so tranquil.
The only downside if you can call it that is the narrow road, track which is the only access. 🤔

Located in a stunning area of the Lake District. Jan & Les made us feel very welcome - nothing was too much trouble & they were happy to share their extensive knowledge of the locality and even lent us a map & extra walking poles. They also called the local pub when we arrived to reserve a table.
Lovely freshly prepared breakfast including fresh fruit and full English accompanied by Jan's award winning marmalade- worth a serious tasting session by itself!
The room is very comfortable with lovely views of garden & surrounding hills and included a sofa and small fridge. There was generous amount of storage & the space in the en-suite bathroom was maximised with some clever planning & fitted to a high standard.
There is a fabulous pub (Kirkstile Inn) just over a mile away which serves excellent meals & a great range of local ales - very popular so best to book.
Plenty of local walking options without needing to take the car.
Don't forget to ask for a guided tour of their garden & the history (& sheer hard work!) that has resulted in a beautiful & unique landscape featuring its own beck.
Nothing.
