Good breakfast and hotel handy for the town centre.

The kettle was clean
The bathroom was dirty and very old looking compared to the bedroom.

Friendly staff. Secure parking on site. Nicely furnished room. Food was good and breakfast excellent.
Building work ongoing with scaffold and work vans. No issue for us but could have restricted on-site parking if the hotel was busy. Would have been nice to have been informed.
Lovely room but no view.

Nice views, great restaurant. Friendly staff that helped us through the snow storm!
Loved our stay!

Cosy stay, in an easy location for Highlands road trip. Room had everything we needed and was comfortable.
No exhaust fan in the bathroom meant the room got quite hot after a shower but apart from that, no issues.

We tend to stay out of season as it’s a bit pricey during summer months

The best was not the most comfortable

ONE of the staff members at the front desk (Roddy?) was particularly friendly and helpful.
The double double bed room we moved to was relatively pleasant.
Starting from the beginning:
1. Hallway to lobby was dreary and smelled strongly of stale fish. Always.
2. The first room we had (Suite) required a cumbersome keyboard to enter the hallway BEFORE entering room with key card. Buttons very tediously small for my fingers.
3. The kitchen area of room smelled terrible. Turned on AC and smelled even worse. Had to close off that area to quarantine the smell.
4. Room was very bleak and depressing looking. Window view was first floor directly into parking lot. Like, a car parked a few feet outside bedroom window.
5. The smell was too much--requested room change. Front desk girl (the one from Inverlochy) was not sympathetic to our concerns at all. Only superficially courteous. Got a double double bed room instead, at a price difference of "only 30 pounds less" that she wouldn't take off our bill.
6. Labyrinthine skinny hallways and stairways to get to our room. Not possible to have two people with luggage pass each other in the hallway.
7. Our new room was actually pleasant--had a nice view of a wooded hillside, and the window could open for fresh air (which was needed). Bed was relatively comfortable--though the sheets had that wet dog smell from having not dried them completely when laundering.
8. Shower/bath felt a little dangerous to get in and out of. Could use a hand hold and no-slip mat or something.
9. Even though there was an espresso machine at breakfast, I was directed to just use the push button coffee machine. Not a big deal... but there was a theme of everything being the bare minimum.
10. The everall feeling was of a slightly dated hotel that was neither chic and modern nor has the charm of a historical building. Cost about 50% more than would have been appropriate. Most staff didn't seem to care much, nor were more than superficially courteous (other than Roddy).

The room was great, bath was welcome and decent coffee on show.
The TV was not connected to the internet, so no other services than terrestrial was available. The restaurant was a little overpriced in the main; I went for a celebratory meal after completing a race and treated myself to a £40+ steak dish as a one-off (would never normally do this). It was really chewy and not brilliantly cooked. I wouldn't choose to eat there again, I'm afraid.

My elderley mother took a second room and liked it very much. Excellent food
If you have difficulty walking you need to request something on the ground floor

In my view this is the best hotel in Fort William, and ive stayed in most of them. Good quality rooms and an excellent restaurant. Food is a notch above everywhere else.

Nice modern bath
Directly Above the restaurant (room4) noisy when staff moved the chairs and tables 11 pm and 7 am!

Nothing.
I didn’t like anything about the property. The stairs were very long, the room was far, and there were too many doors which made movement difficult. I had a lot of luggage and was traveling with elderly people, so it was very hard for them to go up and down the stairs and carry the bags. The place is not suitable for this category of guests, and there was no one available to help with the luggage.

Location is good. 15 mins walk to the city centre with many restaurants and shops. The highway can get busy - so be a little careful of you have a kid walking with you.
Spacious rooms and bathrooms
No lifts and no ramps - you have to carry your suitcase and pram. We had to drag 2 heavy suitcases to the higher floor and the floor was up and down the maize of stairs. How can you function when there is no inclusivity for disabled people
WiFi is practically non-existent. The wifi routers are few and far between. When I asked the reception about the internet, they said it's always like this. We couldn't access the internet from our rooms because the mobile network was also very weak. We had to come down to reception to take any calls or do work using internet

Room was small but the bed was really comfortable,
The shower wasn’t the best, the pressure was fairly light.

The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The bath was a bit too high for getting into for the shower.

Dated, dirty carpet in room with stains, smell was awful
Shower didn’t drain properly, stains on carpet in room, given a disabled room with twin beds when we booked a double standard room- not a great start! View of bins from window. All too formal in the dining room, relax it a little bit and guests will want to stay.

The quality of food at restaurant was very good
1. Smell of hallways
2. Discombobulated layout from reception to room
3. No elevator
4. Any flexibility on breakfast hours when guest arrives 2 minutes after 9:30
5. Second parking lot across busy street and down aways

Quality accommodation. Great restaurant/bar staff and concierge, all friendly and chatty.
Nothing bad to say about this place. Recommend.

Was within walking distance of Fort William. We had a room for the disabled and it met my needs (walking stick, leg problems) Breakfast was good but expensive at £15:50 per person
The price charged for a small hotel on the edge of town our rate was £250:00 per night. Parking is first come first served in the front of the hotel, as we have a disabled blue badge we managed to park.

Breakfast was excellent. Good choices, tasted great. Staff was exceptional. Our apartment was delightful. We could have done more cooking if we wanted.
We didn’t have a car so took taxi due to the heavy rain. Walked when the weather was better. It was about a mile to the town proper.

Had some problems with the receptionist. Spoke with the assistant manager who said she didn’t mean to be offensive and wanted to apologise (after she had been spoken to) however this morning all I got was a brief glance and a mumbled good morning. Second time just a glance. So no need to edit or adjust the review I had written during our stay. She was not sorry at all.
On arrival was told they had no booking for us. Receptionist was actually kinda rude about it. Here's what she said "is the booking under another name" (no I made the booking) "the person who booked the rooms must have given another name" (no I booked the rooms using my name) "there's no booking here for you" (oh shoot I must have made a mistake) Got my phone out to check - I hadn't made a mistake. Showed her the booking including my name. "Oh you've booked under Janice" (there's no Janice in our party and I do all my booking through booking.com and had shown her the booking on my phone)
Got to our room, only 1 towel.
Back down the stairs to be told that housekeeping had finished for the day. What the??? It’s was around 4:45 - 5pm. Reception did go and get a towel but yeah wish I hadn't booked here for two nights.
There was no l'm sorry or let me see if I can sort that out for you.
Which is what I would expect from any hotel.
Rooms are small but nice but if you like good service book somewhere else.
Mistakes happen, that's ok, but you should do your homework before you accuse your guests of making mistakes. Especially when it wasn't my error.

Room was a good size . Beds were very comfy. Bathroom big and water pressure good. Very clean.
Wifi poor and shower over the bath. No lift. We were on the 3rd floor so lugging our bags up not great.

Room and facilities. Clean and modern.
Room was expensive for what it is BUT am mindful of the location. Overly priced food and drinks. Average / good food but not worth the money.
