We had a wonderful time. The room was spacious, clean and had a beautiful view over the extensive garden. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and very healthy, the house itself is charming, interesting, spacious and delightful. The whole ambience was calm and restful. Leo is a great host, very helpful, and thoughtful. Thank you, we'll be back!

We had a lovely stay at Heyford House during our visit to Blenheim Palace and the Christmas markets in Oxfordshire. We stayed in a spacious king room, which was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space and beautiful views overlooking the church and gardens. The bathroom was gorgeous, too, with a lovely, large, spacious walk-in shower. The location was peaceful and quiet, well away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, which made it perfect for switching off and relaxing.
Breakfast was a real highlight — we were given a great choice from the breakfast menu, of which we opted for the full English, and the homemade bread was excellent. You can tell a lot of care goes into it. Leo, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming. We had some great chats with him, which made the stay feel personal and homely. The price for our two-night stay was very affordable for the quality and comfort you get. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend Heyford House to anyone looking for a relaxed, comfortable place to stay in Oxfordshire.

The house is beautiful and the rooms very comfortable and clean. The place has a homely feel and Leo cooked us a really nice breakfast which we enjoyed by an open log fire. The location is ideal for countryside walks and there is a train station just down to the road to venture further afield.

Beautiful building full of character. Bright, colourful rooms, have use of kitchen for guests, welcome to use other reception rooms in house. Hosts were very welcoming and accommodating, really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was delicious with a very varied menu. Used the sauna while there.
Liked everything about the property.

Leo was a brilliant host, the house is eclectic and decorated beautifully, set in stunning grounds in a picture post card village. We felt like VIPs. The room
was well decorated and equipped, clean, stocked with high quality consumables and offered amazing views of the church, with a very comfy bed and sofa. The bath robes were a really thoughtful touch. Breakfast was great too, very high quality, set us up for the day, we’ll be returning later in the year. Very highly recommended.
Not the fault of the hotel or staff, but other guests arriving in the middle of the night were very noisy and disruptive, talking loudly in the hall, slamming doors and playing music etc. Sadly the sound proofing between rooms wasn’t up to much. We had to bang on the walls to tell them to be quiet at 1am. Spoilt an otherwise amazing stay.

I loved the ambience in the old rectory, with a superb garden and view over the church. The place was full of interesting books and art and there were several nice sitting rooms with fireplaces. The quiet little village was a refreshing break from the more touristy spots in the Cotswolds and there are lovely country walks nearby along the Oxford Canal.

We loved our very short stay at Heyford House - we were late to arrive (around 9pm) and they couldn't have been more understanding - then had to leave early in the morning so in all we were there less than 12 hours! However, we'd definitely stay again, and for a bit longer!
The house seems to be full of a mixture of interesting art, treasures acquired from overseas travel and nostalgic books from their (and our) childhood - everything very comfortable, excellent breakfast and a huge shower.
As an added huge bonus, there was an ice bath/ cold plunge that was available for use, which was a surprise but a very welcome one!

Very beautiful classic house with a lot of style and charm. Very big room. Very good bed and shower, the best breakfast we had in the UK. Going to Oxford is easy, use the Parkway-parking, which you reach in 15min. Then 5£ for parking 16hours including 2 persons by bus to Oxford and back.

Full English breakfast very good.
Location good for Oxford and the main attractions, Bicester village & Blenheim Palace.
Garden, nice place to relax with a drink and good book.
Room 4 needs refurbishing and the 5 steep stairs into the room are difficult to negotiate if you have mobility problems.

Room lovely size and excellent shower. There was a nice greeting on arrival from the host who also made fresh homemade bread for brekfast and homemade jam which were both excellent. If we could rate the breakfast which would give it more than 10 - the produce tasted local and everything was perfectly cooked. The house felt homely in a beautiful village and it was lovely and peaceful and in a good location.

Unfortunate that the nearest pub is currently closed, but there are two other pubs about half an hour walk away.

All good, Leo. We had a fabulous stay and enjoyed exploring the beautiful garden and surrounding village. The walk along the canal was an unexpected highlight and so was Rousham Gardens nearby. We loved the breakfasts. Our room was spacious and more than comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay, the beds were comfortable, wonderful views out the window over the lawn, so peaceful we slept well. Lots of art on the walls and interesting eclectic style. Lovely breakfasts made to order by the host Leo and nice coffee. Right by the train station too.
We thought there was going to be a local pub where we could get food as had read that somewhere (maybe it was from older reviews i'm not sure) but it wasn't open when we were there and doesn't serve food anymore. So if you've not got a car with you (as we didn't on this trip) then I advice to bring some food with you.

All good
You did not inform the b and b that we had requested 2 single beds. They had prepared a double and had to change that. It was not a good situation for us or for the owner

all the pubs were closed, there was confusion about the booking, even though i phoned up to clarify our booking.sleeping next to a cemetery is not everyones cup of tea.

I always hate mentioning lack of lift or assistance in getting luggage to room, but at age 79 its getting a little more of a challenge, however, thankfully I am still in pretty good shape.

Location excellent for Woodstock (if you have a car) the house is so interesting and has a peaceful vibe , its situated in a tranquil village and is so picturesque. Breakfast was amazing and our room was one of the best we have stayed in spacious, comfortable and clean .
The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed exploring them before our onwards journey .
Our host was happy to chat if required not imposing which was thoughtful .
We wish we could have stayed longer !
Earlier check in but Leo did agree to a 4pm rather than the stated 5pm which was helpful.

The location was wonderful, places to go,all nearby & lovely walks.
Very quiet, lots of choice to eat out, however, would
advise to book beforehand, especially weekends.
Breakfast was first class with various options.
Nothing in particular, we liked everything.
