Nothing. It was ideal.

Breakfast, barn & Hosts were fantastic. Very clean and calming environment to spend a night at, comfy bed and great selection of amenities in the room including tea's, coffee etc (to which we didn't use but a nice spread on offer).
One tiny thing was the shower tray glass didn't reach far enough along - so water went into the rest of the bathroom, which we had to wipe up. Really minor

Sabine Barn is described as an 18th Century unique Barn Conversion with exposed Beams and Vaulted ceilings set in a peaceful and welcoming environment, as shown in the 32 pictures accompanying the advert. What they don't say is that your booking will be in the shed in the back yard and not in the barn as described, as they don't rent that out anymore.
Don't be conned like we were, you have been warned.
Pictures show the barn conversion you thought you were staying in and the shed which you actually book.

Not much as I did not stay for long
I booked a room and was told via phone on the way there that there would be nobody in attendance when I arrived so the room key would be left in a unlocked box
I found the key and entered what I thought was the correct room only to find out when I attempted to lock it that it was the wrong room. That room had actually been left unlocked allowing access to anyone . I called the proprietor when I found that I could not lock the room and was advised that that was a more expensive room and I would be charged the extra. Still no staff in attendance.
I refused and was met with a very unpleasant response , blaming me for entering the wrong room. Clearly not my fault
I left the site at that point as I did not wish to stay in such a bad atmosphere and unprofessional environment. Furthermore, I would not stay in in an unmanned site and one that had left a room unlocked.
If I had known that the site was unmanned, I would not have booked it. Booking.com requested a refund but none was forthcoming
I have spent decades staying in hotels on business but never encountered anything like this before. An awful experience.

Spotless beautiful lodge set in a peaceful location. Donna was so helpful and kind, the perfect host. Totally recommend this as a 10/10 stay. Breakfast was lovely and fresh too in a lovely setting.
Everything was perfect

The barn was beautifully equipped and decorated and very spacious and comfortable. It was scrupulously clean.
The owners were very friendly and helpful
The only (tiny thing) - the bathroom light was on a sensor so you couldn’t enter without the light going in. This was fine during the day but during the night it would be been useful to be able to go to the loo without the light (and fan) going on.

Beautiful area and building the chalet was well done and great decoration. There was a little village Eynsham not to far which was lovely.
There was nothing to dislike

Beautiful place, quiet, very clean, comfortable and I had everything I needed for the night. Donna was really kind and guided me through check-in process, suggested a great gastro pub nearby and even offered to drive me there, in case I didn't have a car- I found this very supportive and showing care, which I appreciated.

The host was exceptionally helpful. Providing specific directions whilst we trying to find the accommodation and then booking a taxi for us to get to Blenheim (15 mins). The accommodation is exceptional. I dont eat breakfast but it looked very nice.
Cannot think of anything.

Absolutely stunning and very clean
I wasn’t too keen on leaving your room to use the bathroom even though it was only a couple of footsteps away . Just my opinion .. it wasn’t much of an issue once you had done it a couple of times .

Excellent hosts, great value breakfast. Love having bath not just a shower. Beautiful room and breakfast area.
Blinds and curtains didn;t cover windows so light was let in early in the morning, water could have been a bit hotter.

Hosts, Donna & Clive were friendly, welcoming & hospitable. Always available when we wished, otherwise we enjoyed the place to ourselves. Continental Breakfast was excellent standard & delicious. Highly recommended. Location is quiet & within easy reach of Oxford. The building and gardens are lovely.
Nothing. It was exactly what we would have wished.

Beautiful barn conversion in a quiet location, good parking, just what I was looking for.
Nothing to dislike here.

Beautiful barn. It felt lonely as the owners were not living on the premises. On the first night there was no heating on at all. I happen to carry a hygrometer/temperature gauge with me( for my musical instrument care) so I know my room was 15C. I couldn’t get warm! This was remedied for the second night. Donna was great- friendly, apologetic, and kind.

We had the first floor to ourselves so enjoyed the peaceful privacy and that the lovely Donna was on hand if needed.

The barn was stunning and the two rooms we had were massive , clean and had tea/ coffee and biscuits , Donna was lovely and she brought choccie Cocoa Cockapoo with her each morning who was a cute bonus! It was easy to drive to and we caught a bus into Oxford one day - the bus stop was a short walk and £2 single per person. Better option as Oxford not easy place in a car due to roadworks. .
The hop on hop off bus round Oxford and walking tour in between is a must!
We ate twice at the Bear and ragged staff pub a few minutes drive down the road- lovely pub, great food. Another recommendation!
Loved Sabine barn, it was a great option instead of a hotel, We would go back!!
Also it would be a great place to rent out entirely as a bunch of friends or a family.
The bathroom to the big suite is part over the open lounge, so you can easily hear the loo flush and shower running etc which may not suit everyone. The lounge lights are on a motion sensor which we couldn’t turn off so they flicked on/off in the evening when we moved in the sofa/ chairs.

It took me 15 mins from the pear tree park and ride, which was perfect for me. I had the Superior room, which was a really large sized room with a comfortable couch. There’s mirrored closets which are a nice touch, and the private bathroom has beautiful high end specs and a decent shower. It even has a heated towel rack which is another bonus! I really couldn’t fault the place, as a single traveller it felt very safe, and will def return if I’m in the area. I was close enough to Oxford to drive in with ease, and far enough from the city that I woke up and heard birdsong, which is such a great way to start your day.
I can’t think of anything. I will note that if you use WAZE as a traffic app, it wants you to go and turn R slightly before the entrance which for me was on the L. So if you’re using the app, just double check and make sure you turn where you see the big sign that says SABINE as shown in the pics of the property. But that’s the apps issue and not the host!!!
