Beautiful grounds, our room was good size and clean.
There was a noise all night constantly due to which we didn't sleep good both nights which was a shape because everything else was amazing. The lack of sleep due to this really disturbed us and we felt tired the whole time rather than rejuvenated.

Grounds were beautiful. Kieran and Tom in the activities team were brilliant.
The attitude of staff end to end is not based on delivering a great experience, but rather how they can make more money off you. For such a luxury property I’d expect them to be delivering first class service but they didn’t seem interested one bit. Nobody bothered to explain how to get around the hotel. The waiting staff made excuses not to bring my Dad’s birthday cake to our table. The breakfast was worse than a greasy spoon in terms of quality. Pillows were rock hard. Damaged and missing bathroom fittings.

Check-in - great
For me - great evening buffet
Some evening entertainment was great
My partner is allergic to dairy and far too much food had milk proteins in it. Very inconsistent approach to how this was dealt with. Fortunately we learned after speaking directly to the kitchen that they could, on request each evening, provide a plate of vegetables that was not cooked or served in butter. Some allergy labling confusion e.g Lamb Koftas said to include milk, but no recipe seems to use dairy as an ingredient, but my partner had to play safe.
Breakfast was lacking in variety and omelettes, eggs benedict etc could easily have been provided in a hotel of this stature. No mint or herbal teas available in the bedroom. Again a hotel of this standing should have those as standard in the bedroom.
Evening desert menu very poor for dairy intolerance and generally poor staff training in this area. However with perseverance and one helpful and creative waitress my partner's needs were accommodated. Just seemed like hard work making my partner feel unwelcome.
The spa steam room is very small; no room for more than 5/6 and generally lacked a vital ingredient - steam. Generally agreed by those using it to be very poor.
No shower gel provided in rooms, but shampoo and conditioner was. Again strange for a hotel of this standard.
Some evening entertainment was great but some distinctly poor.

Beautiful decor, loved the historic building
Felt like being on a cruise ship, lots of very elderly people, understaffed in the restaurants, the servers seemed exhausted and not very happy, entertainment was just ok.

The location is stunning, rooms were light, airy, and spacious. Facilities were excellent, although at the other end of the complex which was a difficult walk to make.
The lack of concierge service, no help with baggage from the car park, which is a good 250m away. I am disabled and did NOT appreciate that.
One person from the Reception staff was kind enough to help us back at the end of our stay.
Food was pretty basic.

Clean room. Lovely grounds.
The spa changing rooms are very big and well equipped.
The brasserie 32 is a beautiful dining setting.
The relaxation room upstairs is lovely and calm.
Steam room wasn’t generating enough steam to sit in it. There is not enough lounge chairs around the pool to accommodate the amount of people during the day. You only get a robe from in your room so arrival day it’s not given at the spa.
The relaxing room is only for post or pre treatment and it’s kept upstairs next to the treatment rooms. This is a lovely room but no instructions to work the hot tap to have a cup of peppermint tea etc.
The gym is tiny and not equipped well on the weight side. (The decking area outside by the hot tubs where nobody uses is a larger space than the gym.) The cable machine only had two attachments and weights were 4kg to 14kg (missing a 10kg) and could fit two people max at a squeeze in the weights section.
I was given a wrist fob for the lockers but please note this isn’t like a key card and it won’t open the changing room doors so it’s pointless as would need to carry a key card with you regardless and the key cards close the gym locker doors too.
The staff at the restaurants were poor at informing how everything worked. Our breakfast was very misinformed. This really left a negative at the end of our stay. The server spent more times bowing and kissing a spoon than explaining that we could order to our table. The most we got asked by a server is if we wanted tea or coffee and when we asked a server if we could order poached eggs etc as per the menu in front of us, we got directed that it was buffet only. The problem with this is that the toast was so hard from sitting under a hot light. It really ruined the end of our stay as other people around us were getting freshly served food. The breakfast was mediocre and not what we wanted.
The biggest areas that the hotel would improve on is the service at breakfast and the gym.

Nice pool, food good, beautiful site
We booked a twin room which was confirmed on the phone. When we arrived it was a standard double
They offered to upgrade to a twin for a ridiculous amount of money considering it was 10.30pm and we were there for one night

Mainly the location the property was very big not a lot going on in the day and I thought the information was very hard to get round so I didn’t know what was going on
This was a very beautiful building very vast with lots of empty spaces so not always a lot of people about the spa was quite away and went there at one point and was told it was full. They restaurants that we eventually booked were very nice. We’ve had a couple of days before via a Warners booking and was in the buffet in the market restaurant which was I think all we could book at the time and then we change to a couple of other restaurants for our evening meal and breakfast, which were very nice waiter service. Our room the heating didn’t work and it was very cold and after I complained to them 4 to 6 times eventually they put a radiator in the room so I was very disappointed with the service on that.

Location and grounds are really nice. Lots to do. Food generally good. Service generally good.
Room smelt from drains. Only one towel on first night. 2nd night room not cleaned. Entertainment was not as good as it normally is. Felt prices had increased but standards slipped . App not great

History meets modern and elegance. This hotel has the wow factor and it ticks every box. It’s like being on a cruise ship without the water. Just brilliant.

Staff really nice, appreciate the extra help from Alex in the bar.
Food was spectacular and get a design on the Guinness which was a nice touch.
A nest of lady birds on room window, maybe due to condensation. Wasn’t a major issue.

We had a great time at Heythrop Park. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
The food was good quality and delivered extremely quickly. The pool and spa area was very nice but one of the best things was the evening entertainment. We weren't expecting much based on previous hotel experiences, but the Elton John tribute was fantastic. We were very impressed.
There was nothing to complain about. We would definitely visit again.

Excellent standard room in the manor house.
Very clean.
Fabulous decor and grounds.
Restaurant service staff could be better trained.
Hot drinks not available during breakfast times except in restaurants.
6.0 / 10.0
Loved the location and the grounds. Stunning views and a really nice Manor House. Spa was good too,
I came with my family and friends which included two 19-year-olds and three 22year-olds. The average age of the other guests in that hotel around 70. Which led to no atmosphere whatsoever. The spa was run with very strict policy for entry and exit times. Although I pre-booked my breakfasts in two different restaurants, when we got there, they could not find the booking and turned us away. Also, the whole drinking & eating thing was run like an over 50s cruise ship. We only used the hotel as a base and ate all our meals outside, although they were included in the price of the booking. Can’t fault some of the staff for their service, but others probably need a refresher on dealing with guests. Overall, a good base and slightly comical stay.

Modern room, and near Theatres
Facilities and entertainment
Late time for breakfast
Excellent location , with beautiful grounds.
Easy to drive to many places.
At Check in, we were not given the facilities/entertainment sheet
The room was not thoroughly dusted
First morning tried the breakfast room we were allocated but not on the list and not on any breakfast list in the other two venues. Had to ask staff and we ended up back at the first room.

Loved the setting of the property and the venue itself.
The pillows weren’t the best.
6.0 / 10.0
There was lots of lovely rooms to explore, we liked the location and the games room was a nice extra.
Unfortunately service was slow and in some cases poor. Our bathroom needed cleaning to higher standard. The entertainment wasn’t as good as previous stays.
8.0 / 10.0
Good quality and choice of food. The entertainment was good. The spa facilities were very good.
We hated having to book into restaurants- all best slots were booked days ahead with some unavailable for our stay. Also even though you booked a slot, there was a long queue to get into the restaurant. They just didn’t turn the tables round quick enough. You have to walk long distances in this hotel!

Meeting my brother and sister in law was the best bit, the Hotel is really corporate and the staff robotic (not their fault they seem untrained).
Tables were uncleared in the bar, booking dinner and breakfast was problematic and when we got there, it turned out we were not booked in at all for either dinner or breakfast in spite of my efforts to do so. No possibility of talking to a human being to sort things out and we will never use a Warners Hotel aver again. We ended up in a local Inn for our dinner and went in to Chipping Norton for our breakfast, so value for money was minimal as we paid nearly £200 for each room, supposedly covering £30 for each meal and £12.50 for breakfast, none of which we had. Very poor really.

Well what a revelation!! For some reason we had always dismissed Warners "as not for us". Heythrop Hall is a magnificent location with the building and grounds offering a 5 star venue. Add superb food quality and choice in multiple locations together with entertainment options to suit all interests it really comes highly recommended.
We didn't like having to leave after a wonderful 3 night break!!

Very pretty property, spacious, well thought out. Good amenities
Unfortunately majority of the staff were inattentive, and looked miserable. We had booked the Cocktail Making Class during our stay, and had been on the phone with reception the time it was due to start, to let them know we’d be 10 minutes late. We were told it was in the wrong place, and by the time we got there, we were told the class had been cancelled due to staffing issues. Having been on the phone with them not even 10 minutes prior, I would have expected to be told/ phoned back. We had left important plans to make it, and we were hardly apologised to. Very disappointed.

Exactly what we were looking for.
+ Plenty of food options
+ games room (and additional activities: croquet, Bowles, rifle shooting, axe throwing, golf)
+ walking routes on the grounds
+ Room was great size
All the staff were very polite and helpful
Just make sure to book food/restaurants in advance otherwise they will be booked up
Special thank you to
Lelia, Demi and Emily (From the Waitressing team)
Ryan and Meg
That I didn’t book in advance for food and wasn’t given the options.
I wasn’t even chased to say, you booked the stay but not the restaurant.

It was a lovely building and spa was nice
It is for the older generation. Everything is very much catered for them. There was no warning of this before coming. The food was all freezer food and microwaved. The room was dirty and not cleaned properly the faculties weren’t very clean either.
