Beautiful grounds and clean room
Beautiful grounds, our room was good size and clean.
There was a noise all night constantly due to which we didn't sleep good both nights which was a shape because everything else was amazing. The lack of sleep due to this really disturbed us and we felt tired the whole time rather than rejuvenated.

Never going back again
Grounds were beautiful. Kieran and Tom in the activities team were brilliant.
The attitude of staff end to end is not based on delivering a great experience, but rather how they can make more money off you. For such a luxury property I’d expect them to be delivering first class service but they didn’t seem interested one bit. Nobody bothered to explain how to get around the hotel. The waiting staff made excuses not to bring my Dad’s birthday cake to our table. The breakfast was worse than a greasy spoon in terms of quality. Pillows were rock hard. Damaged and missing bathroom fittings.

Would stay again for the location but come better prepared with some own supplies.
Check-in - great For me - great evening buffet Some evening entertainment was great
My partner is allergic to dairy and far too much food had milk proteins in it. Very inconsistent approach to how this was dealt with. Fortunately we learned after speaking directly to the kitchen that they could, on request each evening, provide a plate of vegetables that was not cooked or served in butter. Some allergy labling confusion e.g Lamb Koftas said to include milk, but no recipe seems to use dairy as an ingredient, but my partner had to play safe. Breakfast was lacking in variety and omelettes, eggs benedict etc could easily have been provided in a hotel of this stature. No mint or herbal teas available in the bedroom. Again a hotel of this standing should have those as standard in the bedroom. Evening desert menu very poor for dairy intolerance and generally poor staff training in this area. However with perseverance and one helpful and creative waitress my partner's needs were accommodated. Just seemed like hard work making my partner feel unwelcome. The spa steam room is very small; no room for more than 5/6 and generally lacked a vital ingredient - steam. Generally agreed by those using it to be very poor. No shower gel provided in rooms, but shampoo and conditioner was. Again strange for a hotel of this standard. Some evening entertainment was great but some distinctly poor.

2-3 nights would have been lovely but 5 nights was too long. Great location to see many of the cute villages in the Cot
Beautiful decor, loved the historic building
Felt like being on a cruise ship, lots of very elderly people, understaffed in the restaurants, the servers seemed exhausted and not very happy, entertainment was just ok.

Nice, could have been better for the price.
The location is stunning, rooms were light, airy, and spacious. Facilities were excellent, although at the other end of the complex which was a difficult walk to make.
The lack of concierge service, no help with baggage from the car park, which is a good 250m away. I am disabled and did NOT appreciate that. One person from the Reception staff was kind enough to help us back at the end of our stay. Food was pretty basic.

Lovely grounds but service let it down.
Clean room. Lovely grounds. The spa changing rooms are very big and well equipped. The brasserie 32 is a beautiful dining setting. The relaxation room upstairs is lovely and calm.
Steam room wasn’t generating enough steam to sit in it. There is not enough lounge chairs around the pool to accommodate the amount of people during the day. You only get a robe from in your room so arrival day it’s not given at the spa. The relaxing room is only for post or pre treatment and it’s kept upstairs next to the treatment rooms. This is a lovely room but no instructions to work the hot tap to have a cup of peppermint tea etc. The gym is tiny and not equipped well on the weight side. (The decking area outside by the hot tubs where nobody uses is a larger space than the gym.) The cable machine only had two attachments and weights were 4kg to 14kg (missing a 10kg) and could fit two people max at a squeeze in the weights section. I was given a wrist fob for the lockers but please note this isn’t like a key card and it won’t open the changing room doors so it’s pointless as would need to carry a key card with you regardless and the key cards close the gym locker doors too. The staff at the restaurants were poor at informing how everything worked. Our breakfast was very misinformed. This really left a negative at the end of our stay. The server spent more times bowing and kissing a spoon than explaining that we could order to our table. The most we got asked by a server is if we wanted tea or coffee and when we asked a server if we could order poached eggs etc as per the menu in front of us, we got directed that it was buffet only. The problem with this is that the toast was so hard from sitting under a hot light. It really ruined the end of our stay as other people around us were getting freshly served food. The breakfast was mediocre and not what we wanted. The biggest areas that the hotel would improve on is the service at breakfast and the gym.
