All in all and good value for money place to stay for a short visit.

The location was perfect for us as we had business at the airport which was a 10 minute walk away. Check in was super easy. The room was warm and tidy and the shower was good. The beds were comfortable. The parking was easy and close and free. Plenty of tea and coffee and hot chocolate sachets and a kettle and milk available in the room.😻

It was all a tiny bit rough round the edges, but it was cheap. The walls are a bit thin and it felt like the other guests were very close. The extractor fans are really noisy and you can hear the fans in the other guests rooms too. The room I was in was quite noisy because of the road ( traffic ) at the front. The curtains at the front were thin and white so they didn’t block out much light in the morning when the sun arose.

Overall served the purpose I needed. Location and a place to get my head down.

Property was very close to where I needed to go to work. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Unfortunately the hot water didn’t work and just had cold water. I had to miss having a shower. The bed was very creaky which disrupted my sleep.

Carpet looked a bit scruffy but it was ok for me as had dog with me so I didn't have to worry about it too much. I didn't like the fact that it was an effort to get answers to questions before arrival.

Great place to stay on a budget.

The location of the building was beautiful. I can imagine in the summer sitting out overlooking the canal with a cold beer. The young lady who welcomed us, booked us in and served us for dinner was very welcoming and friendly.

Our mattress was very tired and uncomfortable which hurt my back and didn't get a restful night's sleep as it kept waking me up. Also the fire alarm that flashes is located above the bed which was annoying at night. The carpets could do with replacement or at least freshening up, it night make the room smell a bit nicer too.

Nice welcome, amazing building, love the feel of the bar though we didn't stay for a drink.

Everything was great - clean, good facilities. Lovely room. All we could possibly need though would've been nice to have some bottled water. We just needed a quick stopover hotel and as such it was great: problem was the beds. They were very clean but the mattresses were really uncomfortable. Really hard pillows too. We didn't sleep well and woke with sore backs from the feel of the springs in the mattress. We would have had breakfast but as a celiac there were no options for me. Very reasonable price, lovely hotel.

Nothing was too much trouble. Food excellent. Thank you to the chef! Nice quiet room was spacious, perfect temperature, clean, comfy and cosy. TV great. Bath with whirlpool great. Hot powerful shower. Near the canal for nice walk before dinner. Handy co-op walking distance. Parking plenty - nice view from room x Can’t comment on breakfast as we didn’t book that.

Great occasion & friendly welcoming atmosphere

The Pub was very sociable. The atmosphere was great , the people were very friendly and welcoming. It made us feel at ease and the staff were lovely and helpful.

The location was not obvious/ not well marked from the road so it took us a few turns to find the place. Signage on the main road would be helpful.

Very dated and no information regarding the room located directly Above the bar no breakfast available as advertised next day . Private event was on the night we stayed which they let us know there would be no food on the evening but no mention of the noise to room above the bar we didn’t stay we left and drove home as unable to rest or hear the tv

Warm and cosy with character.

This is a classic pub with rooms. If you want a real English pub with a room this is the place! Not slightly tired in places but surprisingly warm and comfortable. I’ve stayed in few hotels local to this and by far the best mattress IMO.

The only thing that comes to mind is the time for a cooked breakfast, available from 09:00.

Great and cosy

Great little hotel easy to find. It's located next to the airport but we honestly didn't hear any plane passing by. The car park is right next to the rooms so it's perfect. There is tea, coffee and hot chocolate available in the room. The beds are comfy and clean. The bathroom was spacious.

We arrived on Sunday afternoon around 5pm and the bar/restaurant was closed so we couldn't check in. We had to call the manager who told us how to find our keys and our room but we would have liked to be informed of the procedure before our arrival. Also, since there was no check in face to face we weren't able to book a breakfast so it was a bit disappointing. Also, we got really cold during the night since the heater didn't work in the room.

No food available, closed the bar at 22.20 on a Saturday night, no option for breakfast as they didn’t have a chef. Towels were stained and pillow cases, big gap between mattress and headboard, bed constantly squeaked.
