Perfect breakfast, homemade bread, selection of really good quality ingredients and breakfast choice for all. And great butter! Lovely restaurant/breakfast room. Fantastic evening meals too!
Really comfy beds. Amazingly good service.
I was actually a little bit warm with the duvet, but I suppose that's unusual in the Lake District.

The breakfast was delicious and just the right portion. The rooms were well equipped. Location was perfect to access local walks especially the Coast to Coast. Nice and clean too.
Perhaps a TV would have helped. Felt a little pushed at times, to order dinner before a specific time and also check out time. Some of us were maybe 10-15 min late in leaving though!

Love the location, food, charm, great pub with rooms
The dogs! I had a dog barking in the room above me all night and then when I left the room to go to breakfast had to step over a massive pile of dog mess. The staff seemed reluctant to challenge the owner which I thought was really bad. If you’re going to allow dogs staff need to be really clear what the rules are.
