Everything, particularly the lounge and fire
I genuinely don’t want to criticise any aspect however if pushed the only thing I’d critique would be the shower temperature which at max wasn’t that hot but maybe lots of people were having showers etc.

Beautiful location in the Borrowdale Valley. Wonderful views. Staff were friendly, relaxed, and very helpful.
There are lots of good walking tracks near the hotel, both along the valley and up onto the top of the hills. Some of the mountains were covered in snow. Very picturesque.
Keswick is approximately 11 miles away for restaurants, shopping, etc.
The hotel food is at a very high level. We really enjoyed the evening meals. Well cooked and a reasonable choice every night. Served at 1930, which is a little later than we normally eat.

I liked the cleanliness and comfort of Glaramara, and I found the staff very attentive and welcoming. The food was excellent. The location was beautiful.
