Everything! Room was perfect , not too small as a single room. Comfy bed, roomy bathroom. Dog bed , towel and bowl supplied. I didn’t have evening mela but service for breakfast and a packed lunch was excellent

Amazing hotel in the most beautiful location

Loved our stay at this hotel, staff are friendly rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and the views are amazing. Breakfast was great and had plenty. Having a drink in the lounge looking out at the amazing fells as the night falls, was super relaxing. Hope to be back real soon.

Very clean and tidy. Room was well equipped . Perfect place to either relax or go hiking with many trails within walking distance. An amazing breakfast selection . Perfect beer from the bar .

lovely stay

staff were friendly and nice towards my dog. Breakfast was good with prompt service. shower was fantastic

my room didnt have any heating on, on my request i was given a warm room. The single rooms overlook the car park. The car park lights were very bright and didnt switch off until early morning. There was no need for the lights to be on, in the middle of the countryside. It would be great if this setting could be reviewed for those of us who live in the countryside and find the gaps in the blinds do not allow full black out ;)

Really peaceful, homely, friendly experience.

Absolutely lovely hotel, perfect location for hiking and the scenery around the hotel is beautiful. I stayed for 2 nights with my dog, there was a dog bed & bowl waiting in the room when we arrived. I had breakfast with my dog in the bar area and the food was amazing. Hotel was spotless, room was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

A sanctuary in the Borrowdale valley

At the end of a very tiring day walking the Cumbrian Way, our stay was lovely. the staff were very kind and the food delicious.

Couldn't ask for a better stay

I have been coming to Seatoller for many, many (many) years and this is the first time I have stayed at the hotel. It was such an easy, relaxing and enjoyable stay. The room was comfortable and well equipped, the breakfast is brilliant and the dinner is exceptional. It is very well connected to many different walks of various degrees of difficulty and enjoyability, whilst being very close to the bus stop top and from Keswick, a short walk to Rosthwaite for the Watendlath walk, the beginning of the Castle Crag walk as well as being close enough to the end of the Cat Bells walk (if of course you are doing the whole walk!) and of course the Honister Pass (Great Gable and Haydtacks walks) with Buttermere beyond that, and a stones throw away from Stonethwaite for the beginning and end of Scarfell Pike. You really could not ask for a better location or setting. The food provided is really great and the service provided is to be commended. If however you wished to not eat dinner in the hotel, I would strongly recommend the Yew Tree in Seatoller as the alternative (booking recommended during peak season).

A wonderful 1930s building with an excellent running room and generous bedrooms. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the local area. The food, specifically the evening meal was excellent. The breakfast was also generous.

super location in the beautiful Borrowdale. Communication with the hotel pre-arrival was very straightforward and staff continued to be pleased to assist. Excellent afternoon scone. Dinner was good - pre-selected options from a limited choice menu but all very good. Lounge area is very comfortable and cosy. Rooms were good; comfortable beds, bathrooms fine. All in all, very good and will definitely look to come back.

Great location in Borrowdale with direct access to the fells. Comfortable sitting room with log burner, brilliant drying room. Very friendly and helpful reception / restaurant staff and good breakfast.

The bar area lacked atmosphere . The barman didn't seem to be in the right job , lacking any charm and warmth. Additionally he closed the bar at 10pm on Friday night in spite of the presence of 3 or 4 groups of customers in the lounge thereby turning away a lot of business.
