Poor value, poor location and poor customer service.

The room was spacious and the balcony was nice. The pool was nice, although not in great condition (tiles missing etc). The over water restaurant was beautiful. The restaurant staff and some of the front desk staff were nice.

The location is very far from anything and they charge you for every extra or shuttle to town and the onsite restaurant was very expensive with no nearby alternatives. Generally the hotel was in poor condition with parts under construction. Broken tiles in the room, shower didn’t work well, towels didn’t get replaced or refreshed so we ended up with only one towel by the end of our stay, had to call for extra toilet paper twice because we were only given one roll, the water refill stations were always empty, the gym door was falling off, some front desk staff were rude and unfriendly (the manager I think). The initial booking process was also very stressful due to very poor customer service.

Beautiful facility located right on the beach!! We upgraded to a suite facing the ocean.

The staff wasn’t as customer service oriented as other places where we’ve stayed. For example, they didn’t send us a message on WhatsApp asking if we needed anything, and the one day we ate breakfast there, the service was very slow. Also, it’s a 30 minute drive from downtown Placencia. Additionally, prices at the resort were in U.S. dollars, whereas all the other places we visited were in Belize dollars.

Prices too high, facilities in room poor, little possibilities for breakfast, charge you extra without telling you beforehand for special coffee, not all mentioned amenities in place , close down restaurant for private event unannpunced

Amazing!

The food and service at the restaurant on the water were excellent! Stefanie went out of her way to do extra service for us.

Can't wait to see what the Placencia will be like once all of the construction/renovation is completed!

Its location.

Restaurant prices are definitely not affordable for locals. Therefore, we had to source dinner and breakfast elsewhere. Actually thought it was intentional to discourage locals. If so it definitely works.

Beautiful grounds & a wonderful experience.

The entire staff was so friendly & helpful, especially our Shuttle Driver Ronald. The Pier Restaurant complete remodel was so very well done, with great food & very friendly service. Stunning Pool area. Phenomenal landscaping.

Television reception at night was horrible, as it would freeze permanently. We were only allowed (oddly) one washcloth to share each day. Pier Restaurant Prices were way too high. Shuttle to Placencia Village was only available at certain restrictive times.

Comfy stay, facilities are dated.

The hotel was very accommodating to our dietary needs. We are both plant based and ate breakfast there every morning.

The rooms are very dated. The coffee maker was very old and dirty. Didn’t feel comfy using it. You cannot use the beach really ( ours stay was in late May 2022) because of the sargassum washing up to the beaches. It seemed like it was everywhere on the peninsula.

Beautiful resort, that has so much potential to but be so special, but has a long way to go still. If you’re looking for

The resort is beautiful, no denying that! Very clean and comfortable rooms (apart from the shower). They kindly provide drinking water, and tea and coffee making facilities. Food options decent, however better food in neighbouring resorts or in Placencia Village.

There are no local convenience stores. The closest place is Placencia village - you either take the hotel shuttle, which isn’t the most reliable, or need to call for a taxi. Taxis seemed quite sparse. It is a 25 minute drive to Placencia village. The telephone number for the hotel online doesn’t work - one evening the shuttle didn’t arrive to pick us up at the prior confirmed time, and we couldn’t get through to the hotel to ask for any help. There were a couple of times we were told there are not enough beach towels. Staff trying their best, but do need more training. The showers were very dated, and not comfortable to use.

Beautiful property but rooms, not so good.

Pool and grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Very nice property.

The room was small and had a very small bed. The ocean was not clear, but had a weird muddy bottom. But the pool was beautiful. Also they were spraying chemicals to help with the bugs but did this often, which gave me a headache.

Surprizingly disappointed:-(

The pool was the highlight of the trip. The landscape was beautiful with lots of iguana running around free.

The room and bathroom were small. The decorated bed head was outdated and chipping off on the pillows. The chairs on the veranda were not comforted and more decorative. The view from our room was horrible (bush and a outdated tennis court). There was a live roach in the room. Our reservation was for 4 persons, but when we got to the room it was prepared for only 2 persons. I had had to call for extra towel, coffee cup and pillow!

Wonderful 5 day getaway!

I was upgraded to a master suite which was very comfy. The staff was great; always friendly and helpful. I loved the excursions booked through them. The meals that I ate on the property were all tasty. The shuttle service into town is very useful. The spa is another great place to be pampered. The pool is also outstanding!

The resort is a distance from town and without a personal vehicle, it is a little inconvenient (though they do run a shuttle 4x/day). There are 3 dining locations on property but they are all serving the same exact menu. Lots of sargasso seaweed is washed up on the beach even though the staff works hard raking it up every morning. Just something to be aware of pretty much all over.

I definitely do not recommend staying at this resort.

Nothing! We left a few days early and found another hotel to stay at down the road until we could check into our current hotel booked through your company.

Our room had mold on the walls, doors had stains with we are not sure what, dirty & stained bedding and towels, shower handles were broke, water leaked onto floor when using the shower, we asked about water and was told the outside faucet where the animals drank from was our water source for refill a small water container, phone in the room was broken so we made several trips back and forth to front desk to let them know we were unhappy with the very poor conditions. I have the WhatsApp and tried calling and texting front desk and no answer. Restaurant was limited with food choices. When we asked for room service we were told no but we could order from restaurant and take back to the room. At night the pathway lighting to and from the parking area, drop off, front entrance, pathways to and from rooms and the pier were not working, broken or just missing light bulbs. Stairs, walkways and paths were crumbling or missing step stones. There are so many things that need immediate repair or replaced due to being a hazard. We spoke to several workers and was told the owner has ran out of money. The resort would need approximately 2 million dollars to start the current repairs. The online pictures that is currently being used to advertise is false advertising. Pictures are from many many many years ago. we were not the only couple that left the resort early.

The pool was great, as well as the food and the staff. The beach is well tended to look pristine. Great atmosphere all in all.

They flat-out refused to give me a tax invoice, even after Booking.com's intervention (you connect the dots here 😉) so that 12.5% you pay on top of everything is a rip-off.
