An exquisite, family-run small hotel with perfect access to one of the best beaches in Belize

Breakfasts were extraordinary, unlike your typical hotel breakfasts. Local fruits and juices, Belizean fry jack, Belizean omelets - all prepared to order and served in a gorgeous poolside setting. Attentive staff. We appreciated the availability of bikes and simple watercraft, the beachside bar was an asset, the hammocks and comfortable cushioned loungers made relaxing near the pool and under the palapas very comfortable. The attention to detail, from the elegant and abundant coat hangers to the abundance of foot-rinsing stations between beach and pool, to the conch shell outside shower, was marvelous. The proximity of two excellent beach restaurants, accessible by a barefoot stroll through the sand, was a treat.

Absolute delight from start to finish!

Kalimera Resort is in a truly beautiful location, and the room exceeded expectations-thoughtfully designed with extra special touches that made it feel luxurious and welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful, with great quality and choices and a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. The front desk staff were incredibly warm, helpful, and genuinely made us feel cared for throughout our stay. One of the highlights was enjoying massages right on the beach-pure relaxation and such a memorable experience. We loved every moment and would happily return, hopefully for longer next time!!

I do wish they had a free airport shuttle. It is a $20 taxi, but for the price, would be appreciated!

We loved everything about it. A slightly bigger bed perhaps, and daily room keeping would have been a treat, but we still absolutely loved Kalimera.

Relaxing paradise

This is a beautiful hotel with just steps away from the beach. It is so nicely decorated and gives it a rustic feel, especially in the bathroom. Makes you feel like you are bathing in a mountain/waterfall. The beds are so comfortable and the facilities are so clean. The breakfast offerings were delicious and the staff were friendly and always ready to assist with any requests you had. The drinks in the bar were also very delicious albeit pricey. I would definitely recommend others to visit if you want a nice, relaxing vacation!

My only suggestion to the hotel is to offer a small couch or seating area in the room because if you want to sit down in your room you only had the bed to do so. I also would have appreciated a small refrigerator inside the room to use for keeping our water and drinks cool and any food that was purchased outside. Also a small microwave would be helpful too

Very peaceful hotel right on the beach.

This is a lovely small hotel of about nine rooms set around a pool. Some have good views of the ocean. The room was very clean and spacious with plenty of storage space and a safe. The bathroom was also very clean with a good strong shower. Breakfast is cooked to order and was very good. We also had a couple of lunches which were equally good. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay here again but not in a room with an interconnecting door.

The ground floor room had an interconnecting door with the room nextdoor. Despite the message saying it was sound proofed you could clearly hear every word and every action in the next room which was rather annoying.

Absolutely spectacular , truly the most accommodating hotel and staff we’ve ever experienced

Truly a wonderful experience. Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Every little detail was thoroughly thought out , you truly feel all the love that the two owners poured into this property. We’ve stayed at a lot of resorts in the carribean and this experience was truly one of our best experiences. From the staff , who truly went above and beyond , to the property , to the amenities just everything. Truly a wonderful stay. Thank you to each and every one of you at Kalimera , an absolute unforgettable experience.

My only complaint would be the beach chairs! Could use maybe one or two more loungers! Out of EVERYTHING else . That is my one tiny little suggestion!

The location was perfect, our room overlooked the beachfront, the sound of the sea can be heard. Everything about the room/hotel, exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was fresh, served by very polite and efficient staff.

This place exceeded all out expectations. The food was fantastic, service impeccable, room comfortable and well-appointed, pool pristine, etc, etc. The hotel, itself, is ALL that AND a bag of chips, as they say. :)

It's a little far from town, so you have to make plans for transportation. BUT, that's also a reason to book here. It's NOT part of the hustle and bustle. If you want something that feels more secluded that way, this is the place.

Best hotel we stayed in Belize!

Absolutely the best boutique hotel we stayed at in Belize! Everything at Kalimera Beach is so thoughtfully designed — from the moment we arrived, we felt more like family than guests. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their attention to detail makes the stay unforgettable. You get ice for your drinks or to make a refreshing iced coffee (which became our daily ritual). There’s a water tap in front of each room to rinse the sand off your feet before going inside — a small but brilliant touch. The rooms and common areas were spotless, and you can tell a lot of love and care goes into everything here. There are hammocks, a beach gym, paddleboards, kayaks, and games — it’s literally impossible to get bored. The absolute highlight? Sipping an iced coffee while relaxing in a hammock right by the beach, watching the waves roll in. Sometimes you even get a fresh coconut! They also organized an incredible tour for us to Laughing Bird Caye — it was breathtaking, and we even saw a shark! We truly loved every second of our stay. Kalimera Beach is a place you arrive as a guest and leave feeling like part of the family. Can’t recommend it enough!

Service that makes you feel special✨

Kalimera is such a beautiful property with so much attention to detail. It is only a small hotel but this only added to its charm - it’s peaceful, intimate, and so relaxing. But the real standout here is the staff! The awesome maintenance staff supported us when my boyfriend was adamant to kayak out to the deserted caye a mile off the hotel’s shore. They gave us life jackets, snorkels, and water bottles for the expedition. And of course the incredible ladies in the kitchen, Gloria and Aracely. Not only did they make an AMAZING breakfast, they showed us how to harvest the right coconut for fresh coconut water, taught us how to make fryjacks, gave me birthday pancakes (not requested!), and even made sure we had a burrito for the drive back to the airport on our last day.

Unfortunately the beach bar was closed during our stay. But this wasn’t a huge biggie because luckily the ladies in the kitchen were still making drinks upon request!

It was a perfect, relaxing vacation getaway.

This was our favorite place to stay ever, and we travel quite a bit. The entire staff was phenomenal from the moment we set foot on the property. The breakfast was amazing and was actually our best meal of the day most days we were there. I can't recommend Kalimera highly enough.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this beautiful and thoughtfully designed boutique hotel or the incredibly kind and helpful staff. This stop was the highlight of our trip to Belize and we have the Kalimera to thank for it. They went above and beyond helping us coordinate excursions and even made all the arrangements for us, some before we even left the states! And when our boat trip to the Blue Hole was canceled because of weather, they found a way to get us there by plane. I never would have been able to do it on my own. And I can’t forget about the breakfast and lunches, absolutely delicious, my husband was a HUGE fan of the warm homemade salsa. Our deepest gratitude to everyone there for making our family vacation our best yet!!

Lovely, relaxing and comfortable.

My 5 night stay at Kalimera was wonderful. The rooms are nicely designed, thoughtfully laid out and have a very comfortable bed. It is not a large resort with many buildings but rather a smaller boutique hotel. My favorite energy. The grounds and the rooms are immaculate. I had a view of the sea and enjoyed opening the door in the morning and taking in the sounds and beauty. Breakfast was healthy and so very delicious. Everyone, I mean everyone, who is part of the property ownership and staff were wonderful. I would recommend staying here!

One suggestion, which I shared while staying there, was to please include a small refrigerator in the room in the future.

Perfect memorable stay ☀️

We had such a wonderful stay with Kristy, Victor, and their amazing team. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcome and at home. They helped us organize tours and even arranged a driver for our airport transfer, which made everything super smooth. The food was incredible—breakfast, lunch, and the afternoon snacks were all delicious and clearly made with care. The hotel has been recently renovated and it shows: everything felt fresh, clean, and beautifully designed. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. A special highlight for our family was seeing our daughter become fast friends with Atlas, the owners’ child—it really made the experience even more memorable. On our last day, Kristy even surprised her with a little gift basket, which was such a sweet touch. 🥲🥹 Thank you for making our stay so special—we’re already thinking about our next visit!

Serene beachfront boutique hotel

I had an amazing stay at Kalimera. This boutique hotel was everything I was looking for; peaceful, beachfront, modern infused with tasteful local elements. The staff were super friendly and they all went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay. I appreciated Jessica’s prompt helpful communication before my arrival, and lovely Ella’s excellent hospitality. As a solo female traveler I completely felt safe and relaxed. Every night I went to sleep with the sound of the waves and every morning woke up to birds singing and the super delicious breakfast made by Gloria and the other lovely ladies in the charming kitchen. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Christine and Viktor and their adorable son. Overall, excellent experience!

Ubytování bylo naprosto perfektní. Klidné místo. Krásné a útulné pokoje. Výborné snídaně a fantasticky milý personál i majitelka. V hotelu se myslelo na nejmenší detaily, které oceníte. Např klimatizace je nad hlavou, není tedy vůbec rušivá, pokoj je příjemně ochlazený tak, že i já, co s klimatizací onemocním, jsem tady měla naprostý komfort a mohla jsem tak i krásně spát. Regulovat si vše můžete podle svého. Bazén je taky perfektní a Maya beach úžasná pláž. Hotel zařídí perfektně i všechny výlety.

No slice of paradise

L'hôtel en soit est très joli et très bien agencé et entretenu. Avec un personnel et un service impeccable et très accueillant et aux petit soins.

Booking nous a vendu une prestation que l'hôtel ne pouvait pas fournir tel que, une chambre pour trois adultes, trois petits déjeuners et en l"occurrence trois lit. L'hôtel n'as pas de chambre de trois lits. Aussi on ne nous a pas prevenu des gros travaux contigüe à l'hôtel. Alors des nuisances sonores dès sept heure de matin.

- het zeewier op het strand. Echt zwemmen in de zee zat er niet in. Het schijnt een tijdelijk iets ieder jaar te zijn. Maar het was heerlijk in het zwembad. - het eten was geweldig. Perfect ontbijt. Jammer dat er geen mogelijkheid tot diner was.

Nous avons tout aimé de l’endroit. Les petits détails qui ont rendus l’expérience très agréable, du welcome card aux déjeuners tout simplement délicieux. La chambre était belle et propre. Chaque chambre a sa petite terrasse. La piscine est belle et agréable. Le personnel est attentionné. Ils nous ont même offert une belle et grosse mangue coupée sur la plage. L’endroit est esthétiquement beau.

C’était une période où il y avait beaucoup d’algues partout au Bélize et nous avons moins appréciés l’odeur qui s’en dégageait. Les algues étaient tassées mais conservées pour des raisons environnementales.
