Stylish, intimate, serene stay

Beautiful and well-kept beach, long dock for relaxing and views, great pool, restaurant for meals / drinks / smoothies, coffee bar, etc. We stayed in the Tree Top Suites - large, stylish and spacious space, comfortable with lots of amenities and a nice outdoor patio. We enjoyed the beauty and quiet of Maya Beach and also the drive into the busier part of town for exploring, shopping and setting off on a snorkel tour. A wonderful stay.

A relaxing holiday!

The Azure Del Mar is a hidden gem. It is a small, laid back resort perfect for relaxing. The staff is really wonderful; always friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is amazing: big portions, delicious meals and great drinks! We have really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! 🙂

Wonderful stay in a beautiful location!

Azure del Mar is in a truly beautiful spot right on the water in Maya Beach. The setting is peaceful and relaxing, and we loved having access to the free kayaks and bikes—it made it easy and fun to explore the area. The free airport shuttle was also very much appreciated and made departure stress-free. The restaurant was great with good service and tasty food, and the staff really stood out throughout our stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating, which made the experience even better. Overall, a lovely place to stay with thoughtful amenities, excellent service, and a gorgeous location. Would definitely return.

Great Beach Spot!

Our stay at Azure Del Mar was fantastic! The ladies at the front desk were so helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. Chloe the massage therapist does a great deep tissue massage - highly recommend seeing her! The property is beautiful with great beach access. You can use kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes free of charge during your stay. The restaurant onsite is convenient and the food is decent and fairly priced for the area. They offer free coffee throughout your stay and it’s a solid cup! You can get to Placencia via taxi (20min ride and $20USD per way), golf cart ($10USD per hour of use, 30min drive), or by bike (free and about a 50min ride). For us the location was perfect, away from town but accessible. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful gardens, ocean view, cabana right on the beach, nice staff, excellent food.

Just a caution, if you’re in an ocean front cabana it’s very hot at night (even with AC going)due to the wooden windows not closing all the way.

Incredible and beautiful

I can’t say enough about our stay at Azure Del Mar. The staff was incredible, specially Maria and Nicole. Their help and knowledge made our stay phenomenal. From the moment we checked in until our last day, this beautiful boutique hotel felt like the perfect place to relax and enjoy Belize.

Everything was maintained meticulously and our beds and linen were so comfortable.

Azure treated us like royalty.

The breakfast was very good. We had the French toast, omelettes, and yogurt with granola. It was all delicious. Dinner was amazing as well. Everything we ordered off the menu was exceptional. The food and service went above and beyond our expectations. Our flight came in 4 hrs late. Azure made sure we had food waiting for us when we got there. The Entire staff took care of us. They set up excursions, got us a golf cart delivered and returned to use for the day, organized a couples massage, and even made sure we had breakfast ready early so we could eat before our excursions. We highly recommend Azure Del Mar for your next Travel adventure!

Beautiful and accommodating stay with great staff

Everything about Azure Del Mar was perfect right from booking! The staff was incredibly helpful in planning and procuring us childcare support during the work time, that included our family. Upon arrival, everything down to the included sand toys and activities for our small child was incredible. The beach is perfect for a family and is also great to have a cool pool accessible as well. We enjoyed using the paddle boards and kayaks. Staff was also incredibly helpful and informative regarding invoices for the work part of the trip and helping us plan last-minute tours. Beds and pillows were so comfortable!

The hotel and Maya Beach town is lovely and secluded. It is, however, far away from the main area of Placencia, and it is difficult and expensive to commute back-and-forth. The nearby restaurants all offer similar food, which is tasty, but at similar tourist prices.

Tropical little paradise

Lovely resort on a beautiful beach in Placencia. We really loved the atmosphere, from the warm welcome by the manager Valerie to the scenic boardwalk leading to the cute cabanas. Definitely recommend this place. The centre of Placencia is a short drive away, but since we had a rental car we didn't mind.

Service is very slow and the food wasn't amazing, but the staff was very friendly. Make sure you pack your bug spray cause the sandflies are intense.

Helpful staff and comfy/cute room.

The receptionists were so helpful and kind. The morning receptionist helped me book a last-minute snorkel tour and I was so grateful. The room was comfy especially for a solo traveler.

I prefer harder beds and the bed was quite soft. Just a preference, understand that when you travel, you take what you can get!

Little piece of paradise!

We really enjoyed our time here. Our room was unique, especially the bathroom! Food was yummy! We enjoyed the complimentary kayaks and paddle boards. We snorkeled by the dock and saw sting rays, amazing coral, and lots of colorful fish! Maria at the front desk was super sweet and helpful along with all the other staff members!

Relaxing beachside garden property

Wow! What a gem! Such a beautiful property. Lovely garden on beach with cozy places to relax. Pier out over the water with more cozy places to sit, shade & sun. Quaint comfy cabins. Great service from hotel, bar, and restaurant staff. We were in Cabana 5, which had a wall and barn door between bedroom & bathroom. Room equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, and kettle. Despite close proximity to other cabins and restaurant, it was quiet and private. Some road noise, but mostly hear the sea at night :) All clean & good working order. We only stayed one night/ 2 days (on our way to a week on a TradeWinds sailboat); I would love to spend a lot more time here.

Beautiful property, wonderful staff (Andy and Maria made sure we had everything we needed), A/C was a bonus, food and bar were great! we would stay again.

It would be good to update the kayak and kayak paddles, we didn’t care about the condition but others might. We enjoyed our self guided sunset excursion thoroughly.

A beautiful , small hotel in an idyllic setting . Well cared for. Lots of thought has gone into the landscape . It has a jetty out into the sea and its own private pool Friendly helpful staff. Nice restaurant Lovely room . No AC but good fan . The rooms are separate cabanas with an area to sit out on. Great showers It is 20 minutes drive from the main town so you do need transport

The hotel is nice. Love the placement and it’s mostly quiet. Perfect for snorkeling, kayaking or fishing right there from the beach. The Korean food was also amazing! Certainly a highlight. I’m coming back for the food again, again and again.

The hotel is going through a transition of ownership and unfortunately it’s showing. Staff didn’t know the menu, and therefore we got delivered the wrong food. Service was slow and a little chaotic, but overall everyone was nice and the food delicious. Just a little rough around the edges.

Wonderful, lovely and superb stay! . Coming from the main road at maya beach you really walk in a little paradise. The closer you walk to beach tne more beautiful it gets! Manyl nice places to sit or hang in hammock or just at your own little porch in front of your cabana. They boys who work here are really nice and polite and make a great efford to make your stay as nice as posdible. Compilments! We almost immeadiatly decided to stay longer and to make trips to the inland from this place we hired a car to do so. And in placencia there are many sea trips to arrange. . And coming back from a trip it was really nice to jump in pool or sea . the food is also really nice ( also the cocktails:-) we were really happy we found this place even when we were here in the rainy season. Sitting on the boardwalk ready a book and watching put for manatees coming by was also really special!

Exceptional

We loved everything about this place! The staff was amazing and the property is gorgeous! I loved that there was a pool, bar/restaurant, coffee bar, and waterfront...and beach chairs and hammocks right in the same area, so you don't even have to leave the property. We ate most of our meals here. Tasty and reasonably priced. Special shout out to the general manager for going way above and beyond !! We are already planning our return trip!! Also, our.room had a good amount of benches/shelves for luggage and items.

A little Piece of Paradise! Wonderful Stay!

Kyle, the manager, and all the staff were lovely. Kyle was really helpful and organised everything for us, including golf cart hire, tours and shuttling us to and from the airport. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with really good pillows and a mattress topper, making it incredibly comfy! The food in the restaurant was fantastic, and a good range of prices for any budget. Breakfast was great too! The pool was great, and the beach was lovely. It's like a film set it's so surreal with the sea coming onto the beach and hardly a difference between low and high tide! We went and did the Mayan ruins at Xunatunich and the ATM caves which were spectacular!! (Thats not the bank ATM!! lol!).

While we were there it was really windy, so the sea was too murky and we saw jelly fish, so we didn't swim in the sea.

It’s very exclusive and small. Very caring and polite staff who go above and beyond to care after the guests at all times. They rack the beach every morning to remove algae and plastic also to prevent the mosquito eggs from hatching. beautiful bungalows steps away from water/ pool/ restaurant . Quiet resort. great food.loved it.

Very clean lot with a great little beach and dock. Great cocktails and friendly staff that knew us by name. There are only a few cabanas so we quickly got to know other guests and staff.

I occasionally wished that there were glass windows instead of just screens for noise purposes. The restaurant is right outside the room so we often woke up to tables being set and the early crowd.

FABULOUS STAY- one of the best you'll find on the entire penninsula

Excellent facility run by excellent people. The manager Kyle is amazing and in addition to anticipating our every need, he was so professional, knowledgable and willing to go the extra mile to ensure we has an amazing stay. Can't wait to go back, one of the best places to stay on the entire peninsula. Has a great kitchen with reliable food and there are more fabulous restaurants mere minutes away.

They're working on getting AC installed in the units which will improve things but honestly with the fans it was perfectly comfortable. Plus you're steps from the most incredible Caribbean sea with a great beach and amazing dock
