The staff were incredible- very attentive, kind and friendly. I loved the orientation upon arrival, the pool was beautiful with plenty of seating and the beach was lovely and quiet. Pictures don't do it justice. I really liked the continental breakfast- fruit, an egg, juice, coffee and a basket of 3-4 small baked goods with an easy option to upgrade for a fee to other menu items.

The shuttle did end up getting a bit pricey to travel into Placencia and around so next time we would get a golf cart for the week as they were very convenient. I also wish I had brought a reusable water bottle as there weren't bottles in the room but instead a large filtered water jug.

Beautiful location, beach and pool were exactly as we'd hoped. The room was bright and clean.

Would go back in a second, felt like I was in paradise

The staff were amazing, everyone was so friendly and kind. The location is absolutely stunning. Loved having access to the free resort bikes to get into town a bit. Everything felt very safe and secure.

Booking indicated that breakfast was included, but at the end of stay there was an invoice for each breakfast and additional charges were applied. Would like to make sure that services listed as "included" are fully covered in cost of room.

Quiet comfortable stay

A great space away from the main reception and pool area of the hotel. Ability to park in grounds made for great day trips.

Multiple maintenance issues due to the villa was not ready to receive guests. Lights not working, no safe, washing machine not connected and issues with internet. Also our villa was one of a few finished on the lagoon side so it felt as we faced multiple unfinished building units so a partial building site. The strip of beach on the hotel side was not cleared of stinking seagrass which is abundant this time of year so unusable. Other hotels along the same location cleared this so made for much more pleasant experience.

Colonial charm and American-style service 😉

The hotel has a lovely, peaceful vibe and beautiful colonial-style decor. There’s plenty of greenery around and a nice pool – perfect for relaxing. I especially appreciated the idea of morning coffee on the beach at sunrise – such a unique and thoughtful touch. The rooms are spacious, with a huge bed and a large balcony where you can truly unwind. Definitely a place worth recommending for those looking for comfort and character.

The restaurant staff often made mistakes with our orders – a few times we received something different than what we had asked for. We were also talked into ordering very expensive drinks that we didn’t really want. The exception was the manager from Chile – he was genuinely attentive, cared about the guests, and spoke with everyone with sincere interest. His commitment and kindness really stood out to us. The beach had strong waves and quite a lot of seaweed during our stay, but this didn’t affect our opinion of the hotel – it's something beyond their control.

A piece of paradise

A blend of modern facilities with Colonial and Caribbean vibes, which make the place really beautiful. The rooms are spacious with a great terrace (ours overlooked the pool). The infinity pool is stunning, surrounded by palm trees and gardens with birds, gibnuts and iguanas roaming free. The beach area is great too. The whole place is quiet too which felt like we had the place just for us. Food was good, although it could have been better (see below).

The continental breakfast included in the price was a bit basic and disappointing.

Beautiful hotel, food not so good

The hotel is gorgeous, the pool so beautiful and the rooms are really confortable.

The breakfast is a joke, they didn’t advise us that we had booked a “continental breakfast” in booking witch is a nearly a toast and a fruit plate. When you get there and discover it you can’t upgrade you meal plan only paying the difference. In top everything was overpriced.

ocean front

The rooms reminds me of Motel6 in the US , you are just paying through the nose for the ocean Front. They were bugs everywhere in the room and the bedding were not changed . The room was not cleaned. I won’t recommend anyone staying here. They were no consideration or credits given.

The staff was great. We came with our 5 month old baby and our wonderful waitress offered to hold him so we could finish eating in peace.

Needs work from management.

The best part of the property are the staff and the pool. Every waiter, bartender, pool attendant, and front desk receptionist went above and beyond to be kind and helpful. the pool was beautiful as well maintained.

it’s overpriced for “lux” property. The management is poor although they seem to want to improve. I spoke with Alejandro the new manager and he seemed to care and kind enough to listen. issues discussed were: mold in the bathroom ceiling. when I spoke to the shift manager she offered us a not so nice room and upon entering the room we saw beer bottles in the bathroom sink. she basically said I’m sorry we’ll clean the bathroom so you can move. after much disappointment we decided to check out early. no tomatoes for ceviche every wine bottle I ordered was “unavailable” finally had the 4th selection and was overcharged for it. The food was a hit or miss. some dishes were ok others left a lot to desire. one night I ordered dessert and the sweet waiter told me the kitchen forgot to chill the dessert. at least he was honest. the ice cream we ordered as a second choice was completed melted.

Stylish, welcoming 5* stay

Everything! Heavenly infinity pool located beach side. Stylish beautiful decor throughout. Bar, restaurant, patio, poolside - all communal areas lovely to spend time in. Excellent level of service from all staff. Food just delicious! High end stay but still good value all things considered. Caribbean sea metres away, included use of SUP, kayaks, bikes. Even a library and shop on site!

Front office manager so welcoming. We received a welcome drink at the bar , friendly bartender. Housekeeper checked to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Staff members had time to talk to you. Good choice of indoor or outdoor dining, concierge service available, nice pool bar, lovely very large, clean pool, well kept landscaping. Right on the beach

This property was beautiful. The room we booked was under construction when we got there, so we got upgraded to a huge suite which was pretty amazing. Gorgeous dunk pool on the balcony with view of the beach. We enjoyed the restaurant and the cocktails.

It's a bit isolated in location from the town. Not terrible, just worth noting. Also, the internet in our building was down the entire stay - they eventually got us a hotspot, but it was slow and not ideal.

I am incredibly unsatisfied with the services of your hotel. I have written numerous emails with no reply from you. The services were not to the point! First of all, impossible to relax or to sleep with all the construction works. Secondly, my husband wanted to work but the wifi was terrible so it was impossible to get on a call. When we wanted to order drinks from the bar, it was impossible. One day the bar opened after 2 pm. And during the stay the hotel run out of beer belikin or coconuts. How is that even possible? The reception staff is just bored with customers. Every time you ask a question you feel unwelcome and hostile. We were looking to a relaxing holiday, but it was stress stress stress. Beautiful place, wasn’t as peaceful as we would have liked.

Beautiful interior and grounds.

There was a wedding party overwhelming the grounds the first two days of our stay. Loud music into the night that disturbed our sleep. None of this was disclosed at time of booking and should have been. Construction grinding and banging going on during the day on the floor above our room, we had to ask they stop, they kind of stopped. This kept us from being able to nap and was loud by the pool. Not what we paid to listen to on a beach vacation. Staff seems to need more training. Meals ordered were forgotten on two occasions, sometimes they took orders poolside, other times not. The taxes and booking fees for activities booked through the resort should have been disclosed upfront.

Top Management wants to be invisible to customers hotel could be exceptional with right management

Property is beautiful. Beach is stunning and pool area is wonderful the whole set up of common areas is very aesthetically pleasing and makes you want to stay in the hotel to relax and enjoy the view. Pizzas were top notch and the Luna cocktail is very special. A lot of staff were really kind and helpful. Free yoga classes very generous and a wonderful experience. Movie on the beach under moonlight was a lovely setting and also great to have for free.

The wifi not working at all for entire stay is unacceptable meaning no ability to connect to the outside world had to head done to local beach bar to get wifi. No ability to use tv to watch anything as all operated by wifi. Very annoying and was not rectified fast and poor communication on why this was happening not ok for a hotel where you are paying 450 usd a night.

Perfect place for a relaxing time in Placencia

The property was simply spectacular: a beautiful location, very spacious and luxurious accommodation and spaces. The lobbies, bars, restaurant and patios were beautifully decorated and have a great feel about them. The service was impeccable and fast and the staff is very nice and extremely helpful. It is quite close to downtown Placencia (about a 10-15 mins drive) where you can find a lot of cool cafes, bars and restaurants.
