Overpriced & disappointing

The hotel is very convenient for restaurants & bars in Placencia . The staff were helpful & approachable

We felt very very disappointed with the outside space for an ocean view room . There was a tiny terrace with 2 chairs & stool type table . You could not both sit side by side to view the ocean ! The expectation we had from the photos shown on Booking .com was a much larger private outside space with hammocks shown …. I did raise this with the staff on check in but the assured me room 3b was in fact an ocean view room & the photos used were inaccurate. Also all photos show vaulted ceilings , again ours did not have that . This place was just short of £200 per night & it really felt like a rip off - we have been travelling for 7 weeks & this is one of the most expensive places we stayed in . It is not good when you are led to believe what you are paying for turns out to be untrue.

Did not stay where we booked through no fault of my own. Extremely disappointed.

Booked the hotel in September. Arrived in January to find that the hotel had our reservation however did not assign us rooms and had no rooms to accommodate us. Brisa did arrange for an alternate hotel which we were assured was equitable and newly renovated however once we were there we realized the “sister” hotel was not evenly remotely equitable nor comparable to our reservation with the Brisa Oceano. I have stayed at the Brisa several times over the years so I am quite familiar with their accommodations and found the Brisa’s solution to the problem they created unacceptable.

Hotel's idea of garden view was top floor, overlooking a "garden" 6 large water tanks. 2nd night they moved us.

walking distance to everything

The location was excellent, right on the sidewalk. The place was clean when we arrived and the beds were comfy enough. The shower pressure was good and the size of the shower was very nice. Overall very nice establishment.

They did not come in and refresh anything the entire week we were there: the towels, sheets or toilet paper. We had to call for them to bring toilet paper.
