The room was mouldy and dusty like it has not been cleaned for years. I developed a dust allergy sleeping in that room. For a room that costed 97 Euros for 2 nights I did not like it at all.

Für Salzburg sehr gut und günstig!

Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einem alten Haus. Die Leitung bemüht sich sehr, die Bedürfnisse der Gäste zu erfüllen. Zum Unterschied vom Eindruck des Hauses (alt, ziemlich vollgeräumt mit alten Möbeln, was seinen Reiz hat) war das Zimmer 18, welches ich bezog, renoviert und mit Bad/ Toilette und Dusche ausgestattet. Das Bett war sehr bequem, die Decke hat gut gewärmt. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß und mit Fernseher und WLAN ausgestattet, außerdem hat es einen kleinen Kühlschrank und einen Ventilator gegeben. Die Lage ist ziemlich zentral und Parkplätze gibt es auf der Strasse. Frühstück (Aufpreis) war gut (Semmeln, Toast, harte Eier, Butter, Wurst/Schinken/Käse, Cornflakes, Milch, Kaffee, Tee, Kakao, Marmelade Joghurt und Müsli, außerdem frisches Obst (Bananen und Äpfel). Empfehlenswert, da auch das Personal ausnehmend freundlich ist.

Uriges Unikat

Wer vorher liest, dass das Haus eine Pension ist und Bilder anschaut, wird sich darauf einstellen können, dass das Haus ein uriges, knarziges Unikat mit vielen unterschiedlichen Zimmern ist. Der Schrank in meinem Zimmer war von 1824, auch die restlichen Möbel waren antik und (aus meiner Sicht) sehr schön. Geschlafen hab ich gut und die Verkehrsanbindung ist großartig.

Lieber nicht mehr.

Eigentlich nichts.

Die Matratzen sind durch. Die Bettdecken haben vom Gewicht her gesehen schon sehr viele Gäste erlebt. Wenn man den Deckel von der Gemeinschaftstoilette hebt, erkennt man Luft nach oben in Punkt Reinigung allgemein. Die Zimmertüre lies sich nur mit Nachdruck öffnen und schließen was bei einem Öffnen in der Nacht das ganze Umfeld aus dem Schlaf reißt. Bei dem aufgerufenem Zimmerpreis unterirdisch. Dafür wäre ein Preis von 50 Euro gerade noch akzeptabel für 2 Personen. Da wird offensichtlich seit Jahren nicht viel Investiert. Bei der Ankunft wird man lautstark mit religiösem Radiosender empfangen. So etwas sollte man doch privat hören. Nie wieder!!!

The location was superb and I was able to travel multiple times a day back and forth from the altstadt to the Unterkunft. The staff was really nice and helpful when I had trouble with locking my door. The place is a bit old but gives a rustic feel. Also great for pilgern!

Delusione totale: esperienza da dimenticare

Posizione comoda , mezzi di trasporto raggiungibili in pochi minuti a piedi . La struttura ha offerto biglietti gratuiti per i mezzi di trasporto

Siamo rimasti profondamente delusi da questo albergo. Fin dal primo momento, non era chiaro se ci trovassimo in una villa, una pensione , un monastero o un museo religioso: icone sacre ovunque, in ogni angolo, creando un’atmosfera davvero bizzarra ed unica nel suo genere . A parte ciò, Il problema non era l’età della struttura, che anzi avrebbe potuto avere un certo fascino se tenuta in buono stato. Il vero disagio è stato il disordine e la mancanza di pulizia. Polvere ovunque, oggetti sparsi senza criterio, lenzuola e federe ingiallite , tappeti sporchi , vetri delle finestre ironicamente parlando forse non puliti da anni etc etc e l’ingresso dell’hotel bloccato da due furgoni, rendendo difficile persino capire dove accedere. A fronte di tutto questo, il prezzo richiesto era assolutamente ingiustificabile. Se fosse stato un soggiorno economico, uno avrebbe potuto chiudere un occhio, ma con una tariffa così alta ci siamo sentiti presi in giro. Abbiamo deciso di ridurre la nostra permanenza da due notti a una sola e ringraziamo lo staff di Booking per l’assistenza impeccabile fornitaci . Un’esperienza che non consiglieremmo a nessuno. Peccato, perché Salisburgo merita ben altro e questa struttura se pur vecchia ha il suo fascino e con maggiore attenzione e cura sarebbe un buon posto dove soggiornarvi. Ah le foto che vedete su Booking non sono attuali ma sono datate , quando forse la pensione era tenuta con più cura e amore .

PULIZIA INACCETTABILE: sotto i letti abbiamo trovato cartacce, merendine sparse; il cestino del bagno conteneva ancora i rifiuti dei precedenti ospiti. La biancheria non era stirata. STATO DI DEGRADO: mobili rotti, pavimenti scricchiolanti, corridoi ingombri di oggetti (tv, mobili e carta igienica), arredi logori lasciati accatastati. Anche altri ospiti avevano segnalato “tantissimi oggetti ovunque”, ambienti fatiscenti e tappeti usurati. La maniglia della porta della vostra camera si è staccata durante il tentativo di chiusura. ODORI SGRADEVOLI: forti odori interni, puzza persistente che suggerisce cattiva ventilazione e pulizia superficiale. AREAZIONI AMBIENTI: solo ventilatori, alcune finestre non si aprivano, rendendo gli ambienti soffocanti. COLAZIONE INACCETTABILE: locale poco invitante, pessimo odore diffuso durante la colazione; abbiamo preferito evitarla completamente.

Old, historical site with loving staff, but it can give off an odd vibe.

The staff is a family and this is their family home for generations. They're very friendly and accommodating. They want you to be happy and are very generous!

There is no AC and it can be quite hot in summer. It's also adorned in lots of very religious artifacts. Given the age of the building and the heavy religious presence, it can feel a little creepy. I was less intimidated than others in my party.

Religious, dust, bugs and creepy

It was unclean, there were a lot of religious objects in the room which were creepy. Like crucified Jesus paintings on the closet or Jesus cards on the table. It was very unclean, the receptionist guy came up to us reeking of onions and garlic as he was just eating before he came to us. His hands were dirty. Rooms were unclean too, cobwebs, dust and bugs . Beds were terrible, we just dropped into them, soft like bread but not in a good way. Terrible for our backs, got almost no sleep at all.

Leider war nichts so, wie auf booking.link des Hauses dargestellt. Lage und Ruhe muss man gelten lassen.

Besonders unverständlich sind die positiven Booking Kommentare und das in der Rezeption aufliegende Gästebuch, in denen die besondere Qualität der Unterkunft wirklichkeitswidrig über den grünen Klee gelobt werden. Das Haus ist völlig abgewohnt, im "Garten" liegt alles Mögliche liegt herum und/oder ist kaputt. Ein krasser Widerspruch zu den Fotos auf der Homepage des Hauses, die uns gefallen hatten. Die Wirklichkeit zeigt ein heruntergekommenes Haus, das dem Betrieber seit Jahren über den Kopf wachsen dürfte. Der Frühstücksraum schlägt alles, das Frühstücksangebot entspricht nicht mehr den gängigen Standards. (unhygienische Küche). Personal ist nicht vom Fach, das zeigt sich leider in allen Facetten des Managements. Zusätzlich dient das Haus offensichtlich einer christlichen Mission, ständig läuft eine pastorale Musik, das muss man wollen. Selbst der günstige Lockpreis ist zu hoch.

Own room is a big plus. Accommodation is located in very peaceful area. Staff seemed very friendly and really enjoyed what they are doing and are ready to help you.

Both common areas and my seemed to be little dirty. Probably a while since last time vacuum cleaner etc. was used. Claims to have soundproof rooms, but when I had problems with lock on my door, person from room next to me yelled that people are trying to sleep and I should stop whatever I'm doing. And I can say, the voice wasn't that loud.

Its decently unique and with a potential to a good experience. The host was responsive on WhatsApp. The location is a short walk from the old town and there are many buses that you can take instead so location was great. Also there was free parking on the street

Charming Unique Old Hotel

Very beautiful old house with old furniture and decorations etc. (we personally really liked and it is a very unique experience but different from a regular hotel so be aware) Friendly helpful staff (family run and good vibes). Good location, bus station to get to the city centre is a 3 minute walk. Bus ride to city is about 15 minutes.

We were in the appartment and some of the cutlery wasn't very clean so we had to wash it before using it and we couldn't get the dish washer to work. Won't be a problem if you stay in a hotel room.

Not worth the money you pay.

It was fairly close to the centre of Salzburg and restaurants within walking distance.

Our fridge didn't work and the bed is very uncomfortable (unless you like sinking in your sleep). Furthermore, staff are very absent and our room wasn't set up properly but it was difficult to locate staff. There is also a weird check-in process and no face-to-face connection. Location is annoying to reach by foot as you need to go up a lot of stairs.

The location and the history of the hotel were highlights. We could walk everywhere. And the location is so quiet. Beds were comfortable. And the kettle in the room was a bonus!
