A few meters from everything

Brilliant location if you are arriving/departing by train, comfortable hotel, pleasant staff.

The location was the star feature, just a few paces to the main rail station. I liked the tea and coffee making facilities in the room fact that the en suite bathroom had a proper window which could be opened for ventilation.

We originally booked a Classic twin. Receptionist v kindly upgraded us to Comfort as we were staying 3 nights. 401 is a VERY small room, needs both chairs removed and two small stools put in there. Could hardly walk past the chair/dressing table at foot of bed.

Excellent hotel, which saved us last minute following a terrible Airbnb

Superb amenities, excellent rooms and great location near the station in Rouen, France (literally over the road!) We checked in following a disastrous arrival at a local Airbnb. Booked online and our rooms were ready within 30 minutes. Hotel restaurant and staff went beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. They gave us late checkout and stored our luggage so we could spend an extra day in the city. The hotel is a family owned business with traditional good old fashioned service (founded 1880) and that certainly shows through the excellent staff, amenities and general overall experience we had.

The lift was only big enough for one person but considering it was built in 1912, this can be forgiven! But…. it was very swift and lots of fun!

Best Western = Best service

This hotel was excellent. Right from the start, lady on reception (constance) was friendly and did her best to have my room ready early. On my return the room was ready and was really nice, lovely art deco feel. The bed was massive. AC was working well. Room had everything I needed. Best thing was the service at breakfast. I am a vegan and the lady went out of the way to find me oat milk and porridge oats. I would definitely stay here again. Very highly recommend.

Nice little hotel. Only downside is the area

Really nice little hotel with a great breakfast offering. Staff were really nice and upgraded our room. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Love the cute booths in the restaurant and old fashioned lift. Nicely restored building that still has some charm.

Not in a great area. We had a roof box so had to park on the road. Someone smashed our car window when we got back there in the morning.

Two visits both enjoyed!

Best Western Plus Hotel de Dieppe 1880 is located right outside Rouen Rive Droit main line railway station. It takes just two minutes from getting off the train to reach reception. The hotel is a characterful building complete with a central staircase surrounding a period lift. My room was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and had an excellent walk in shower. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was very powerful - a real asset with temperatures in the late 30s. I also received a room in the exact part of the hotel that I requested avoiding the front as I thought that might be a bit noisy. My room benefitted from good soundproofing. Therefore, I slept well and was refreshed for the day ahead. Nearby, there are several small restaurants and bars including an excellent Vietnamese café / restaurant in the street immediately behind the hotel. This provided a good inexpensive meal. This was my second visit to Hotel de Dieppe 1880 and, like last time, I enjoyed it.

Front desk girl was not very helpful with restaurant recommendations . Expect good French fries in France but couldn’t find them !? You should give guests a list of good restaurants, so they know where to go when out sightseeing .

This is THE place to stay when in Rouen.

Insanely near Rouen train station and very near city center. The hotel is a great choice for the ones looking for an affordable place with al the facilities and amenities didn't find in so-called five stars hotel.

The restaurant. It's dark, expensive and the quality of food is mediocre, with dishes you find better prepared and with way better quality anywhere.

Not good value but ok if you need to be close to the station

for convenience to the station and train travel it was perfect, and was easy to get into the city from too. The staff were nice and friendly.

The standard bedroom I was in was too small, bit miserable, lacking in comfort and the tiny bathroom facilities were awful, not working properly. The shower was terrible, not a shower to look forwards to, bad pressure and temperature, and direction all wrong. The plug would work in the tiny basin and water wouldn’t drain. Due to the bathroom problem I was offered a different room and it was quite nice . I was not informed however that I would pay extra for this room! Breakfast was poor and not enough choice. It was noisy due to being across the road from the station. Got the feeling that I was paying a lot for quite little.

Great breakfast! The location is directly across from the train station, where parking is available.

Advertise that parking is available (for customers who are driving--include the address, too) across the street behind the train station for about 16,50 Euro/day. The streets are one-way and a little narrow, so if you drive past the train station, you've got to complete "a lap" around the town to get back to the parking area.

Fantastic staff and the location across from the train station was very convenient. We had a lovely spacious room with a fabulous view. The restaurant was top notch and breakfast was excellent. It had a lift!

Air conditioning was difficult to get working comfortably. Otherwise couldn’t fault the hotel.

Great spot to start your tour of Normandy. So convenient so central to trains, buses and car rental.

Location in downtown Rouen was perfect..! Got off the train, walked across the street and checked in. Took 10 minutes from train to ck in. Victor’s 1880 restaurant was very good . Eat there twice , the 1st night and our last night before we left for Paris. Would definitely stay here again. Very cute elevator!

Good hotel in a very good location. The room was quite small but it was expected. It was bright and clean, nicely decorated. The staff was nice and polite. The hotel provides parking at the reduced rate just 100 m away from the hotel, which was very helpful.

Many websites told us you had Gluten Free options on the restaurant menu and came up as Nr 2 for Gluten free in Rouen. Unfortunately your staff in the restaurant didn't have knowledge of Coeliac disease and if any dishes were suitable or were Gluten Free. For this I would not return. I do appreciate you providing Gluten Free Schar bread for breakfast and your processes for identifying me from my email/booking confirmation was good.

We went to numerous hotels within France and staying with Hotel de Dieppe is our best experience.

The location is excellent and if you arrive by train, is just across the road. The staff are friendly and they gone beyond their duty to assist us in translation when we try to communicate with non-english speaking people.

The room that we booked were quite small and with 2 large luggage, movement within the room is very limited.
