Superb !

Superb and charming hotel - quiet comfortable room, wonderful spa with pool, sauna, haman. All staff friendly and welcoming. Lovely bar. Hotel situated in the centre of the town.

Very small - a very squeaky bathroom door and no obvious place to leave used towels in the spa the only things I can think of !

Bright and comfortable room, with large bathroom and great shower. Very good breakfast. Excellent spa with fitness, large pool and saunas etc. Most of all very helpful staff. Really central location.

Marvellous historic place with great comfort

Very friendly reception staff. The Nespresso machine in our room was defect (that can happen). Receptionist immediately had coffee organised from the bar - and the machine was also exchanged on the spot. Going the Extra Mile!

The hotel restaurant lacks ambiance. Sterile room and non-dimmable lights make a dinner not so commendable - and there is a lot of external choice right outside the hotel.

Great hotel, which we use for our last night in France before returning home to the UK.

We found everything to our satisfaction. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and always found it to be exceptional. The rooms are very comfortable. It is great to have the pool facility. Overall, the hotel is great and we will visit again.

Fantastic place and excellent service

Fantastic beautiful place in a fully renovated XVI century castle right in the heart of the city. Excellent friendly and helpful team. Possibly one of the best places to stay

I wish the pool & sauna area was open outside of 9am-7pm, otherwise it’s quite impossible to use it if you leave early in the morning to enjoy the city and get back when the area is already closed

Elegant, well-maintained hotel with excellent pool, spa facilities, and central location.

Swimming pool is the best we've had at any hotel in France so far, large enough to swim laps; and the rest of the spa facilities were also very good. Central lively location is perfect, a short walk from the train station, the open market, cafes and restaurants, etc., and yet quiet and peaceful inside. The building is a jewel, and the common areas of the hotel are elegant and well maintained. Staff are welcoming, helpful, and efficient.

Not a fan of the transparent glass shower wall - prefer privacy. Standard room is quite small; if available we would likely book a larger room in future.

A fabulous stay. We really hope to return to this lovely hotel and town.

We were very lucky to be given an upgraded room free of charge. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and efficient and helpful with any queries. The facilities at the hotel were fabulous, such as valet parking, swimming pool and sauna. The hotel room was well equipped with water, tea and coffee making facilities as well as robes and slippers. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linen and towels were good quality.

The breakfast was OK but the staff were very busy and were not always available to help. Some items of food had run out and were not replenished such as the croissants and pastries.

the gym was not well equipped. Out of the 5 two machines did not work. not enough space for exercises ( very typical with many hotels. The sauna was not open, which I did not mind, but what if I had booked because of the sauna? The breakfast was super expensive, so we did not try ( there are many boulangeries in the neighbourhood.

A must stay in heart of Rouen

Absolutely fabulous hotel from the moment we parked Maxime approached us, took our bags into hotel and moved our car to a secure location. All staff fantastic. Room lovely. Pool also fab especially as it opens 7am so nice to swim before breakfast. We are gluten free and were well catered for. When we left our luggage was taken to the car and even offered to pack the car for us. Overall cannot fault.

Great location - relaxing indoor pool and sauna!

We liked the pool, the linens and bathrobes, the comfortable bed.

The bathroom was open to the sleeping area - causing unnecessary noise and light when trying to sleep. The outlets in the room were strange. There was a coffee maker, but we needed to bring it into the bathroom to access a suitable outlet. The room was made up to have very delicate wine glasses standing upright at the foot of the bed - very nerve-racking. The overhead lighting was also controlled by switches in strange places. And, while we liked the pool, we didn't love it. It was dangerously designed for anyone trying to do lap swimming.

The hotel is located in the heart of the town, close to tourist attractions and shops. Housed in a beautiful, monumental old palace, the hotel offers a unique and charming atmosphere. Despite its central location, it is quiet inside. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the breakfast is good and staff is very friendly. The hotel also has a beautiful indoor swimming pool.

Breakfast was good, offering a variety of choices. However, the breakfast room itself could be a little more dressed up to match the elegance of the rest of the hotel.

Great location, small and dated rooms.

The building is beautiful, and extremely well located for all of the main sights in Rouen. The staff are lovely, and very helpful and accommodating. Valet parking is a real plus.

The rooms are extremely small, particularly for the cost per night. The rooms are a little dated. Our bathroom had paint flaking off of the ceiling around the shower. The in room facilities are limited (I would not say in room coffee making facilities if that is a kettle and some instant coffee sachets). The tech in the modern rooms is also a bit dated.

Nice hotel with views high up looking over the plus der Luther Blisset and a statue of Martin the French president.

Nice Hotel in a very nice position in the old part of Rouen and our room was the highest one I think or one of the highest. Would stay there again. The room at the very top has nice views over the place and was quite high. We both like being higher up because we aren’t very tall anymore ever since the accident we had many years ago in Mexico when the cable broke in the lift. I wear shoe inserts anyway so I’m slightly higher now and my wife is stuck in the seventies anyway so imagine the shoes she wears. You can see the cathedral from The top room although the cathedral looks quite a bit higher. We had club sandwiches which were nice as we’d been travelling all day and the waiter was quite tall which is a good thing.

Location Great, poor nights sleep due to being woken by road sweeper at 6AM. needs thicker glazing.

The location was excellent but we knew this as we have stayed there before on our way back from South of France to the UK. Rouen is our favorite stop if we are traveling on the West coast side the hotel is pretty nice

When we arrived and were shown to our rooms (2) I was told we were upgraded, which sounded great however, we did not get a good nights sleep. from just after 6AM the road sweeper was outside our room for at least an hour going up and down. I understand this needs to be done but constantly is too much. I do not expect to get an interrupted nights sleep in a 5 star hotel. I think the glazing needs to be looked at. our kids were up the hall from us and facing the inside courtyard and slept fine my wife had a particularly poor night sleep which was NOT good after a long days drive I also thought the breakfast was a little poor for a 5 star hotel but then that is probably a personal choice.

Stylish hotel, centrally located in Rouen with large wood paneled rooms. Very comfortable bed, service and valet parking (Pierre) were all 5 star. Also the breakfast was excellent.
