Great place to stay the night after visiting Giverny

Excellent communication, easy to find, very clean and spacious room, hosts provided recommendations for dinner that evening, breakfast was delicious and in a cozy room, the variety of food was one of the best we had on our trip and we did not leave hungry.

An amazing stay

Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was lovely and very clean with homely touches. The bathroom was amazing with a large shower. We decided to add breakfast for our stay and this was a feast of lots of local produce. We couldn't eat it all but it was lovely.

Superb!

A lovely stylish accommodation attached to the owners' house with secure parking on site and set in quiet village location. Very clean with super comfortable bed and large bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. Restaurant within walking distance. We enjoyed chatting with the owners who were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. It was a pleasure to stay at their Chambre de'Hote. Highly recommended.

Easily the best experience ever!!

We’d traveled for over three weeks and were ready to slow down, and see Giverny thoroughly! Quintessential country France. The optional breakfast was delightful. The bathroom was so luxurious and large! Hosts remarkable…English was quite good.

I never wanted to leave. We used Uber and spent 20 E most trips, the host said we were his first in 5 years without a car…

Almost the perfect stay.

Quiet location on the edge of a tiny town & edge of the forest yet within short drive of the sites in the area. A very warm welcome to a stylish ground floor bedroom (= garage conversion to guest room) with a very comfortable bed and superb ensuite bathroom. All immaculately clean. Kettle and tea-making facilities were much appreciated. Fridge in the wardrobe. Loungers were put out for our use in the guest area of the garden. Had breakfast at the nearby bakery (3 mins stroll) on the first morning to make a early start for Giverny visit - beat the crowds. On the second morning we had the breakfast provided by our gracious hosts. An excellent spread well worth the EXTRA cost.

Felt a little rushed on the last morning to vacate the room especially as it was a Sunday morning. We suggested enjoying a leisurely breakfast @ 8.30 as our reservation documents stated check-out time was not until 10.30. We were encouraged to have a swift breakfast and an early check-out because "we have other guests arriving today and need to prepare for them". A first in all our years of travelling... A little disappointed with that... Otherwise this would have been a 10.

À lÓrée du Bois is nestled in a lovely garden on the edge of the woods. The hosts are warm and thoughtful and provide one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. With the morning meal served out in the conservatory, surrounded by nature, we hated to leave the breakfast table. All local produce, jams by our host, baked goods from up the way, cider from a local ciderie, milk from nearby cows, the delicious omelette's eggs from a farm not far away...We will be returning soon!

Ideal for a short stay to visit Giverny.

Our ground floor room was an excellent choice for our two night stay to visit Giverny. The room was extremely clean, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and our hostess had set the table very elegantly in the conservatory. We enjoyed visiting the boulangerie / patisserie a short walk away in the village.

We really enjoyed our night here and wished we could have stayed longer.

The spot was very cute and easy to get to from Vernon. The breakfast was amazing! Everything, the honey, eggs, jams, cider, cheeses, bread, yoghurt was homemade and very local. What a way to start the day!

The stay was excellent

The breakfeast was very good; there was a lot of different food you could choose. The room was well equipped. It was quiete except from cars on the nearby street. Landlord and landlady were very friendly and accommodating. There was a place for us to spend time outside in the garden.

De details, alles erg netjes, (zelfs muggen desinfecteer product). Gratis, beveiligde parking, mooie tuin. De rust, de privacy. Een luxe ontbijt in gezellige veranda, verwarmd, erg lekkere koffie. Prima informatie ivm uitstappen in de buurt, de aanbevelingen voor restaurants. Sympathieke gastvrouw en gastheer. Een aanbeveling zeker waard !
