Peaceful retreat and excellent food

The location and the atmosphere beautiful and peaceful. There's such an old charm vibe to the whole place, perfect for cutting off and reset. The food was delicious, and it feels homemade. Frédérique is charming and made us feel welcomed.

The check in is at 5pm and check out at 11am. It feels quite short period of stay, taking into account it's above Eur 200/ night. I just wish the check-in was earlier.

A beautiful and serene setting within Giverny.

An exceptional historic property, with a large and comfortable courtyard and lobby/dining area. It is within walking distance to Monet's gardens and house, as well as several nice restaurants. Our room with twin beds was comfy and had a large bathroom with a deep bathtub. Lovely towels and sheets. La Dime was easy to find... we arrived by private car and then took an Uber to the local train station so we could continue on to Paris. We very much enjoyed talking to the man of the house.

We were not disappointed by anything. (Lol... maybe just the steep street to climb to get up to the main street of Giverny.) There were some narrow stairs to climb to our room too, but our suitcases were kindly carried up for us, so no complaints!

A charming hotel with parking conveniently located for everything in Giverney. Highly recommend

Loved the style and decor and also the location. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent and all the staff very helpful and welcoming. Great choices of wine by the glass.

In our room the step down to the toilet room was too steep and narrow. Should be looked at and rectified.

The location to Monet’s garden was fantastic, the decor and gardens were beautiful

The most disappointing and annoying part of our stay was the staff. Initially the welcome receptionist didn’t recognise our stay. The waitress on the breakfast was so rude to me. I asked for some hot milk for my coffee and she made a funny face at me as if I was asking for something ridiculous, very condescending and I felt really foolish.. horrible feeling. Then it turns out that Booking.com even though we paid when booking, asked us to pay again which I did as I didn’t realise my husband had already paid !!! We didn’t realise this until the manager explained this to us when we were leaving !!

On Booking.com you state this property has a Bar & Restaurant which after a long drive we were looking forward to but was told on arrival by a surprised owner there is no bar or restaurant. We were very lucky to find a table in a lovely restaurant in the only local restaurant that were open on a Tuesday evening. All turned out well but could of been annoying.

Fantastic stylish room - very lovely setting with Fermob chairs dotted around inviting us to sit in tranquility and to enjoy the vibe of this wonderful place. Very attractive restaurant that we would very much had enjoyed eating in… fresh food cooked on a grill. Bravo La Dime de Giverny

Most of the staff was friendly and helpful, especially the women who initially greeted us. One in particular however acted liked we were intruding. Perhaps because this is a guest house rather than a hotel, which is part of the charm of feeling like you’re in a home.

Beautiful historic hotel within walking distance of Monet’s house and gardens.

Spacious comfortable room in a beautiful historic building. Our room had windows on three sides which let in lots of light while the thick stone walls kept it cool in summer. Staff were all very nice and very hospitable. We had a lovely two night stay and were glad we picked this location for our visit to see Monet’s Gardens. Great breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit and yogurt.

This beautiful country home and the lovely family that own and run it surpassed my expectations!

We arrived early and were able to check in. It is a beautiful French country home that the owner's take personal care of to make every detail look perfect! We arrived hungry and were directed to their lovely family run restaurant which overlooks the beautiful grounds and country house. The food was deliciously prepared in a charming patio dining area located on the Rue Claude Monet which is just a short walk to Monet's Gardens.

sleeping in a 13th century tithe barn was the actual experience. Coffee in rooms was good. Decor top class. The owners of this historic building went all out to keep it authentic to its age, but with modern amenities. I loved the 19th century basin in bathroom. How often do you get the oppertunity to experience a 1000 year building like this?

We arrived after 8 and the place was deserted. Ringing the bell had no effect. So maybe a telephone connection after hours will help people in our position? However if one arrived normal hours it would not be a problem. A shower would have been preferable to the mini bath. It looks nice but is not practical

Beautiful property and surroundings. Very close to Giverny.

La Dime seemed more event venue than BnB. In fact, arriving on a Saturday night, the owner and staff were setting up for reception- very distracted. Only spoke to her briefly when checking in, and did not see her at all during our stay. Dinner was on the patio, as the main hall was being used for event patrons.

The room was nicely decorated. The gardens were lovely. The dinning room was very nice. Location was very good and walking distance to the Foundation of Claude Monet house and gardens.

it felt like you were sleeping in Monet’s Garden ! We had a room under wooden beams with ivy climbing outside the windows . The meadow larks were chirping. dry peaceful and a short walk from the actual gardens.

quirky layout. second floor room was a long climb up steep steps. claw foot tub impossible to get into. anyone with limited mobility should make sure they are on main floor. even so, there are steps throughout.
