The property is beautifully renovated and is spotlessly clean. Veronique and Vanessa were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious.

A very comfortable, lovely place to stay.

The property was beautifully presented and had all the facilities we needed for our 2 night stay. The continental breakfast was just perfect for my Mum and I, with a range of fresh fruit. Vanessa our hostess was lovely! Very welcoming, hugely accommodating with great attention to detail. Vanessa also provided us with restaurant recommendations and taxi numbers.

Comfortable place to stay in Giverny

A lovely chambres d’hôte situated close to Monet’s Garden. The host was really charming and made us feel at home immediately. Our room was on the first floor in the main building, it was comfortable, fresh and very well equipped. Breakfast was fresh local produce well prepared, we really enjoyed it.

Be careful before booking a table at the sister restaurant Jardin de Plumes in Giverny. It wasn’t made clear but it is a Michelin starred restaurant and quite pricey. We had a lovely meal there but it wasn’t cheap

Fine for one night

This location is perfect when seeing Monet’s garden. The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared to each persons requests from a pick list. The lady manager was super sweet and thoughtful upon our arrival and breakfast preparation. The A/C was very cold and the bed was comfortable.

We stayed in the annex property not the same building as the restaurant. In our room, there were no wine glasses or corkscrew available.There were minimal bath products and only one bath towel and one hand towel and we were two people. The room is pretty in the pictures, but the room is looking a bit “worn” now. Lights cracked on either side of the bed. The backyard showed a pretty yard area in the picture but yard not very well maintained now, and the little sitting area had a big yellow hose in the way, and was not as nice as in the picture to sit outside. Picture is a bit deceiving. My suggestion to the proprietor would be to provide a better outdoor set up with a table and chairs to invite guests in the back of the house to relax. We only stayed one night, so this room was fine, if we were staying longer than one night, the room would not have fit with our standards.

It was a beautiful property and the boats were great.

The AC was strong. The breakfast was amazing. The room was wonderful. It was quiet at night.

The lack of black out curtains on the window so you are up at 6. I wish the lady who checked us in had had the AC on at least low when we arrived. It was very hot outside and we had been walking around in the heat for several hours so the check in process (slow computer) was long and painful.

The staff was great, but the hotel was bit disappointing. "A" for effort, though.

Breakfast was sparse with little choice, the room was expensive and quite compact, though it was very clean and fresh. The staff were nice but the hotel is more of a bed and breakfast and service is quite limited.

Perfect accommodation and great location.

We stayed at this location to be able to visit Monet’s Garden and it was perfect. We had a hire car so drove to parking on the day of our visit however it is only a 20 minute walk. This accommodation is beautiful in every way and you will not be disappointed.

Nothing really but a minor point was the breakfast experience - it really was lovely but the self service option was explained to us on day 1 but it wasn’t articulated that we could have a cooked breakfast until day 3 when we over-heard the option of having omelette as an alternative Not a major issue but I suggest a menu or explaining the options from the start

Impeccable, accommodating, pampering service in a delightful Inn and Restaurant

The staff handled the check-in process and introduction to the property with utmost grace and cordiality. We agreed to speak Portuguese, a neutral language, to ensure mutual comprehension. We were served delicious, local, herbal tea in a most unique format: a double-walled glass carafe from a local designer. The staff handled a mechanical problem very gracefully, offering an acceptable work-around. The check-out staff, who also served breakfast, handled a prickly financial situation with even more grace, professionalism, and charm. That she gave me an alternative method to resolve the situation with my financial institution was incredibly welcome and accommodating. This was world-class and rare.

There was a minor mechanical issue in the room, a stuck blind, that impacted the privacy of the room that should have been verified before my arrival. This was a very minor issue and did not impact my overall experience. Transport to the auberge was somewhat difficult because of the confusion about the location of the taxi stand. There were two taxi stands at the train station in Vernon and we stood at the wrong one. It might help to produce a map of the Vernon train station for arriving guests plus public transport options for those not renting a car. A simple, printed or digital, village map might have made it easier to visit the sister restaurant/inn. These are very minor items that improve service delivery.

Cosy boutique hotel

Cosy and elegant boutique hotel 15 minutes from the Monet house. This is a perfect place for a night's stay in the countryside. We stayed in a bigger room, and it was well worth it. The smaller rooms though do not have the same value for money.

The first room we were invited to check-in was not the same one I booked on Booking. I am happy we were able to resolve the situation on the spot. Breakfasts are simply divine

Onthaal was super. Ook het ontbijt was super lekker met veel keuze. De kamer was prachtig!

Onze kamer was niet echt goed geluidsdicht gemaakt. Dat was wel de enige kamer die op hetzelfde verdiep als salon en ontbijtruimte lag. Daardoor konden we vanuit onze slaapkamer alle gesprekken horen en als er andere gasten binnen of buiten gingen. De badkamer lag achterin en dat was daar veel minder het geval.

Merveilleux !

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cet hôtel de charme paisible et de très bon goût. La chambre Andalouse était spacieuse et tout confort. Rustique et moderne à la fois. Très calme. Une mention spéciale à Vanessa pour son grand sens de l'accueil, sa gentillesse et son écoute. Elle a par son professionnalisme contribué à rendre ce séjour inoubliable. Nous étions à 2 pas des jardins de Giverny. Nous avons aussi retrouvé ce sens de l'accueil au restaurant étoilé le Jardin des Plumes. Excellent et tout en délicatesse.

Peut-être un bonnet de douche dans la salle de bain ainsi des volets aux fenêtres de la salle de bain....un crochet ou un porte-manteaux accroché au mur de la salle de bain afin de pouvoir suspendre une robe de nuit ou pyjama.... et un plus, serait un parking à l'établissement.

Pour améliorer encore plus la prestation, quelques ajustements pourraient être faits dans la chambre : des volets à chaque fenêtre, une meilleure insonorisation des chambres au RDC et un PDJ un peu plus fourni.
