Best if the owner knocks on the door

It was absolutely everything you would have wanted, if you were looking for a solid, old character, authentic, rural beauty, piece of quietness. Antique type furnishings, perhaps original to the buildings as I’m sure they were very old. Everything was well kept. Complete with a lovely young lady, checking us in, and the owner, an authentic Frenchman, hard-working. He was carrying a chainsaw as we entered the property after cutting wood and was just the perfect entrance to the property. We had a private courtyard with table and chairs to sit at if you wanted to enjoy your breakfast or evening outside. Buildings were made of stone and cobblestone everywhere, beautiful vines climbing on stone walls. Felt very private. I’ve dreamed of going to France since I was 14, and made it at the age of 74. This did not disappoint. Everything I ever imagined French countryside to be, it delivered. Breakfast was simple with two kinds of fresh bread delivered in the morning. Fresh jams and condiments, yogurt, fruit , coffee/tea in your room. That’s very comfortable in bathroom. Had everything you needed.

I enjoyed the property immensely, and have only one comment, in that a more detailed cleaning is in order. Built up grime in corners, window ledges and a fresh shower curtain would have made it cleaner, and thus a little more enjoyable. Perhaps some fresh curtains as the ones sagged and looked a bit worn. The rustic feel did not disturb, and that was totally enjoyable and definitely gave it an authentic appearance. I would look again! Extremely reasonably priced in my opinion.

Great little cottage in a wonderful location. Very friendly staff who were very helpful.

The steps to bedroom were quite steep.
