Suren and Jonathan were amazing hosts. They truly made it feel like home, not a hotel.

I had the most lovely stay at Evergreen. The location is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet stay in Giverny. You truly feel like you are in the French countryside yet Monet's house and gardens are only a short walk away past some beautiful neighborhoods. I had no idea what the history of the house was until Suren humbly shared it with me upon arrival so that was a great cherry on top. The house is the perfect blend of quaint, charming ambiance with cozy, modern amenities. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. Suren is an amazing chef who uses his own ingredients straight from their garden and explains the significance of each dish. It honestly felt like a fine dining restaurant experience. The best part about my short stay is the great conversations had with both hosts. I wish I had stayed longer to enjoy everything a bit more. I will definitely be returning and encourage everyone to book your Giverny stay here. You will not regret it.

Historic building. Beautiful bedroom with very large comfortable bed and topclass bedding. Freshly cut flowers in our room on arrival as well as good chocolates. The room was very well furnished. The owner, Suren was so friendly and welcoming. He is also an excellent cook. Not to be missed the dinners he cooks on request!! Thank you Suren for the wonderful stay. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful stay in old house surrounded by nature and lovely cats

Beautiful very old house, well maintained by Suren and Jonathan. They are great hosts, with beautiful taste, kind and make you feel like home. The cats are the cherry on top! The area is perfect since it is very close to both Vernon and Giverny and quiet. Please do not miss their breakfast and leave lots of room for it 🙂

Well appointed manor just outside the village of Giverny with wonderful hosts

I loved everything about this beautiful manor home. It was fabulous experience with two wonderful hosts. Suren his sweet mother and Jonathon were very welcoming to me and as a solo traveler that means so much. Sometimes you spend a lot of time without having anyone to speak with and these delightful, artistic, kind and talented men made me feel like I was at home. The manor is perfectly appointed with luxurious linens, a huge soaking clawfoot tub and a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was outstanding and works of art and as delicious. I felt special and so is this place on the country. I haven’t even gotten to Giverny, my bike rental and the gorgeous countryside and garden. Thank you Suren and Jonathon. I believe I walked away with lifetime friends or an extended family. Oh, and the cats too!!

It’s also prime location…only minutes from Claude Monet’s home and gardens - one of the biggest tourist attractions in Giverny. I would definitely stay there again!

Exceptional stay. Suren and Jonathan are wonderful and kind hosts. Their home is absolutely beautiful and they have the ability to make anyone feel welcome and at ease. I enjoyed getting to know them and the property is truly exquisite and tranquil- away from the hustle and bustle of Paris. I will for sure keep them in mind when I am in the Normandy region again. Marvelous weekend gateway

Evergreen has much to offer to its guests. The hosts pay close attention to the detail, which has made our weekend trip great. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Though the biggest highlight of our stay was the breakfast prepared by the hosts. Absolutely exquisite! If you are looking for a weekend getaway or come to see Monet’s house, make sure you stay that extra night (or two 🙂) to fully soak in the serenity of Evergreen.

Dreamy stay in Vernon/Giverny

Our stay at Evergreen was nothing short of a dream. From the heartfelt welcome by Suren, the chef at Evergreen and one of the owners of this magical place, to our breakfast-brunch the next morning. This was the perfect starting point for our Giverny visit. It felt as if we were already living our Monet-experience even before visiting Monet‘s house and gardens. The house and garden feel so welcoming. You can tell that Suren and Jonathan have poured their heart and soul into the place. We had made reservations for a dinner at Evergreen and enjoyed it so much. We were seated in the garden gazebo and the entire meal was just delicious and perfectly executed. Suren used so many beautiful elements from the Evergreen garden fruits and vegetables. We highly recommend eating both dinner and breakfast at Evergreen. It is definitely worth it! Thank you Suren and Jonathan for this beautiful stay and experience!

It was great!

Evergreen Guest House's website aptly describes it as an oasis of peace and tranquility. The accommodations were lovely and truly an immersion in life and culture of the French countryside. The garden is a beautiful place to simply relax and enjoy your surroundings. Suren and Jonathan are terrific hosts who take obvious and very justified pride in the "oasis" they have created. If I had it to do over, I would have stayed longer and made this home base for our travels in the surrounding area. And after sampling one of Chef Suren's scones, would have added breakfast to my reservation!

Nice place, nice location, but one of the host has been inexplicably rude to us.

The house and garden are truly beautiful. However, one of the hosts became extremely rude and aggressive after a minor, harmless incident due to a lack of information and clarity about the rules and the organisation of your stay. This was a very simple situation that could have been resolved easily and with a smile, but he decided to take it to a very hostile way. He then tried to charge us for damages we did not cause. This behavior completely ruined an otherwise lovely stay.

We had an absolutely outstanding stay at the guesthouse! We enjoyed every single moment, and the hospitality was simply perfect. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, showing genuine heart and a personal touch in every detail, which made us feel truly welcome and cared for throughout our visit. The room design was exceptionally high-standard, and the food was superb – a true culinary experience. The aesthetic attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the art in the common areas, to the stunning and well-kept garden, and even the smallest touches. The entire guesthouse is very quiet and pleasant, allowing us to enjoy complete tranquility and relaxation. We highly recommend it and would love to retur

A perfect stay in Normandie

Our visit to the Evergreen was an amazing way to reacquaint ourselves with France. Suren and Johnathan are the most gracious, welcoming hosts (as are all the wonderful kitties!). Just Marvelous

This year’s family vacation was very special and very scary. It was the first time our 10-year-old granddaughter was going to visit a foreign country. Our first stop was Vernon, France. As you may imagine, her initial introduction to a foreign country could determine her impression and demeanor for the rest of the vacation. Neither our granddaughter or us were disappointed. Our first stop was the Evergreen Guest House. The Evergreen Guest House has to be the most beautiful place my family has ever stayed during our many years of travel to Europe, the perfect introduction to foreign travel for our granddaughter. This beautiful historic home in an idyllic setting gives you a feeling of peace and joy. Suren, the proprietor of the Evergreen, is a gracious and talented host. We were all made to feel like family. Suren's culinary expertise was a welcomed addition. The home is located in walking distance to the home and gardens of Claude Monet in Giverny. Suren had wonderful stories to tell of Claude Monet and his friendship with the Evergreen’s original owner, who entertained Monet and his contemporaries. We were served wonderfully crafted breakfasts and always made our way back to the house for afternoon treats. This location and home are a must if you are traveling to France. As an end note, our family visited two other French locations, and our granddaughter continuously indicated that she wanted to go back to Evergreen and “hang out” with Suren.

Breakfasts and dinner were all 5star ‘fine dining’ experiences, all prepared by the owner/chef Suren. A superb taste experience of Fresh organic ingredients. Suren makes good use of his extensive cottage garden. It was like having a Michelin experience in a country cottage garden!!

Its position, its history, its garden, the secure parking, the decor full of lovely art and the warm welcome from the hosts. Just lovely! one of the nicest stays I've ever had, in a charming, antique country house, with a spectacular breakfast, magnificent environment and a relaxing stay. Hosts Suren and Jonathan are welcoming, helpful, and lovely, and made us feel at home. Giverny and Fondation Monet are within walking distance (25-30 minutes). Highly recommended!

Most comfortable bed on our 3 week trip. Quite close to Monet gardens/house.

It was old and had no lift. Plus it was pretty pricey. Frankly it was an historic site that we were not there long enough to appreciate
