Historic Liège at its best.

Caroline and her colleagues were excellent from start to finish. They were all incredibly helpful. We loved our loft room, what a view!! The bed was soo comfortable. I would also strongly suggest the breakfast.

Super charming place

Such a charming place! Lots of character. Owners were friendly and helpful. Ok location.

Not something I didn’t like necessarily but is good to be aware about the stairs. There’s only a very steep narrow staircase so getting heavy luggage up and down was quite difficult (I’m a 24 y/o guy and wasn’t easy). If you struggle carrying luggage then you wouldn’t want a room on the 4th floor. But the owners did give us a choice of room ahead of time. Staircase was fine for us as it added vibes - others may not think so.

extremely noisy outside until early hours of the morning. no internet. no tea making facilities. Friends had slight mobility issues and found the stairs extremely difficult.

A little different

Spontaneous Booking, very happy with our choice. Enjoyed the aged building, the simplicity of the room, the view (from the 3rd floor). Coffee in the Café is great. Check out the little alleys around the Citadelle!

The stairs are a bit tricky if you have bulky luggage and a dog that doesn't do stairs very well.

Charming and well-located heritage building

Chez Mamy was a gem of an old historic house. It had original features such as wooden beams and floors and brick walls. The bathroom was completely updated and spotlessly clean. We had a partial view of the river and looked over similar historic homes. The staff were very kind and carried our bags up and down the very steep, narrow and winding staircase. Breakfast was served in a pleasant room above the cafe. Breakfast was plentiful and reasonably priced. The location was excellent, everything was within easy walking distance. Really good restaurants in the area.

The location is great and the bathroom is up to date. I would have like to know for sure if I will have a bath or a shower, I went in dreaming of one picture that had the bath in it and was lovely, but it was still amazing.

It is trully an old house. I realised noise will probably be an issue when I received the text the day before from the owners, communicating the instructions and specifically asking us to be mindful of the others. When somebody walked in the room above, you heard it like an animal in the woods. I was careful to walk after that... during the night, snoring is heard, during morning the alarm like it's a roommate's. I could go on but I think I've made my point. I don't know if things can be better in such an old house.

Charmingly renovated rooms in a very old house in the old center of Liège, an interesting city with many architectural contrasts. Lots of nice cafés, artisan bakeries, cute shops... breakfast was delicious and nicely prepared.

Was a great stay in a beautiful old house with charm.

Our stay at chez mamy was excellent. The old house with the cozy rooms is very charming. Everything was clean, the organization with the host worked great and the breakfast was super tasty with great value for money. I can highly recommend a stay.

If you have a lot of luggage, the narrow staircase could be a problem, but was not the case with us. On the website, the owner points out the narrow staircase and that there is no elevator. For us it was no problem!

Beautiful room in great location.

Location is great; 2 min walk to the historical centre (and x-mas village in december), parking lot and the big La Batte market on Sundays right in front of the hotel. Room was very clean and nice - in a beautiful historic building.

As advertised - the building has no lift. Stairs are very steep and narrow so big pieces of luggage could be a problem. The rooms have wooden floors so are prone to be noisy. You can hear your upstairs neighbours snoring etc.

The place is in the centre of Liege, very close to everything. The room was nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was very nice. Everything was very clean .

Due to the old house (18th century), the stairs are so tiny that we had an accident during our stay. And also we heard our neighbours all the time, which was uncomfortable.

Prima voor 1 nachtje en midden in het centrum! Wij liepen zo de kerstmarkt op (2 minuten lopen).

Oud pand uit de 18e eeuw wat het speciaal maakt. En kleinschalig (4 kamers), vinden wij erg prettig! Mooie oude wenteltrap die naar de kamers leidt. Voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn of veel/grote koffers hebben kan dit wel lastig zijn.

Door aard van het gebouw (oud) erg gehorig. Je hoort duidelijk de boven- en beneden buren, zeker ook als mensen wandelen op de kamer. Maar als iedereen hier rekening mee houdt (beetje rustig praten, de tv niet te hard), dan is dit verder geen probleem en goed te doen. Zeker voor 1 nachtje!

La situation est parfaite. Non loin de la place du marché, du tram, des commerces. Très facile d'accès, le code pour entrer vous est envoyé la veille. Catherine, la gérante, est très accueillante et il y a moyen de profiter d’un petit déjeuner et/ou d’un brunch.... Je recommande...
